You may not see this comment, but you amaze me with your talent. Watching you has helped my quilting journey. Tula's quilt is breathtakingly beautiful! Thank you for sharing
I was teaching myself to machine quilt, but now I am handi capped . I still want to quilt on my Bernini. I love arching you quilt, you make me think I can do this. Thank you. For encouraging all of us.
I agree. Between her videos, shorts, books, and these chats, Angela has taught me almost every technique and design I use on my quilts. Linus quilts are excellent to practice on!
Angela, you are truly a gift to those of us getting more comfortable quilting. The fact that it is only you and Jessica blew my mind. You do SO much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Your efforts are priceless.
Thank you, Angela, for another info packed Chat. Tula’s quilt turned out amazing! Looking forward to the next Challenge. I’m pretty sure I signed up, I’ll go check. ❤ edited to correct autocorrect
These panels are so pretty! I've never used a panel to make anything. I've been free motion quilting for a dozen years or more, but have quilted starting by hand, both piecing and quilting, since the mid 1980's. I've had to summon up your "comparison is the thief of joy" mindset quite often as well as "a finished quilt is better than a perfect quilt". Angela-isms to quilt by! ~Cynthia
I got the Build-a-Quilt a few years ago but then life got in the way. Angela & Joanie were great when I had questions or issues. Life is still busting my chops so I may not do it this year but anyone doing it will find that the blocks go together nicely & I've learned a lot with the ones I've already done!
Thank you Angela. I've just begun quilting my 2020-2021 Build-a-Quilt. I needed some ideas for those beautiful blocks that I haven't even seen for awhile.
Our daughters are the same age and they both were in tennis this year! Tennis was a blast! We spent a lot of time at the park and then sometimes even came home and played tennis on the Wii as well. Super fun! Tula’s quilt looked fantastic on the screen when Tula was presenting her fabric line at market. What a fun quilt. Great job quilting it! Thanks for sharing. Love your work.
As inspiring as your quilting is, what is more satisfying is observing your's and Tula's personal and artistic relationship. You both seem to have grown as result of the others strengths and no doubt weknesses. What a lovely thing to watch in this competitive world. ....that individuals can elevate the work of each other and create something together that is larger than the sum of its parts. You are both so generous with your art and allow so much room for others to develop around you. Both of your generous spirits offer others the confidence to try things they would not otherwise try. My FMQ is kind of a hot mess. But I never think of it when I begin. I try ridiculous stuff, because you told me to. I jump in. I am always disappointed by my machine (domestic), my body (several injuries). But when I get some distance of time, even though the quilt did not match my vision of it, it looks far better than I remember it (and from a great distance).. And that keeps me going. That and I can't afford the services of a longarmer.
Thanks for the breakdown! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I don't know if someone will see this and can help but I bought the mini kit at Quilting is my therapy store and wonder if there are TH-cam videos to go along with it. For the life of me, I cannot find them.
