@@shannonbittner1688 I have! I was on Ozempic for about a month and lost maybe 5 pounds. Switched to Wegovy and am still losing. I started at 193… I’m now 175. Been on the journey since 12/1.
Since you had already took a first dose with this pen video example, you should mention that when the multi-dose pen is new, after installing needle #1, turn the dial just after zero (where a dotted line is shown), then hold the pen with needle pointing up, and press the injection button to confirm a drop of med comes out of the needle. Need only to be done once with each new multi-dose pen.
@@livieg.2182 if you turned it past the dotted line to the dose amount, heard the clicking, and the dose indicator returned to zero, you likely got your full dose

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for this video. I'm taking my first injection and your video instantly calmed my anxiety. I feel more confident taking this.
I’ve been putting off trying it for MONTHS and was even going to ask if a nurse at the clinic could do my injections for me. Today I finally sat down and said just do it. When I tell you… I did not feel a THING. Not even a pinch!! I held it against my fat roll and pressed every so slightly and the needle just disappeared into my gut without any pain whatsoever. I had to double check that the needle had actually gotten into my skin. It was pressed flat against the abdomen roll, the flat part of the base against my stomach so the needle HAD to be through the skin all the way. That’s how much it didn’t hurt, not even a pinch like I said. Go for it!! It’s not going to be what you think!!
@@astridmckagan great!! Glad it went well. Most people don’t feel a thing. And yep, if you inserted the needle so the base is against the skin, it went in :)

Good Morning this was very helpful. This is my 2nd time using pen and I noticed the dose counter window did not go back to zero. I guessing I didn't press long enough and that is why it shows the lines not zero. Should I wait for the following Sunday, which is the day I give myself the injection or do it again today. uggg
Sorry to hear that you had trouble. Unfortunately, I can't give you medical advice via TH-cam and you should check with your prescribing physician. It's not uncommon for people to have the same trouble and it could be a result of not holding down the button long enough or it could be as a result of the pen being jammed. The tricky part is that you really can't be sure how much medication was actually delivered today...
Very good instructions! But, why do they only give us 6 pins and not 8 or at least let us buy 2 more for those of use that are on .25 that will need 8 pins?
The pen is pre-filled to the exact amount your presciption needs, nothing less, nothing more. When you are on the .25 dose, most prescriptions call for you to up that to .50 after 4 weeks. So it's 4 pins at .25, then your last two needles are .50, thus needing only six tips.
It is because the first pen is designed to deliver 6 doses. You can ask your pharmacist or doctor for a few extra needles if you are doing a slower titration!
