I think drake actually appreciates all music but hes a business guy and reinvents himself from what he listens to. He did it with partynextdoor. Straight stole his style for one dance and controlla.

@@39193 I can see Harlem or 410 going global, Harlem definitely influenced drill heavy in the UK and no lie they deserve that success still its peak for 410 since Am x skengdo got that injunction their music has been dead recently so need to sort that first and GBG need up their work rate as a group to gain that kind of attention ngl
Drake doesn’t steal anything. The man is bigger than any UK vibe. As big and respectable as he his, he firmly has the right to tread wherever he pleases.
from preme's (p reign) wiki: In 2008, Reign was charged with nine counts of weapons possession charges after Toronto Police found three loaded handguns in the backseat of his leased Cadillac. He was acquitted of all charges on May 30, 2011. Reign referenced this on the unofficial remix to the song "Us" by Lil Reese rapping, "Drizzy dropped a hundred on my lawyer and I beat the case!"
I think his intentions in doing it is to help the drill scene become even bigger than what is today and more widely recognised all over the world. His already made his millions.. you can tell he likes the drill scene himself. Cmon man he got like 6M in views in a day lol.. thanks for the video loved the detail!
Drake is that much of a musical magician, when ever you listen to any of his songs especially his freestyles and timestamp records his lyrics naturally register in your head after one listen, the second listen instantly has you singing along to it, this is how clear his delivery is for the various listeners and the melodic flow is just music to everyone's ears, only a few artists in the music industry have these type of unique powers, this is why he is the G.O.A.T IMO
I wanna personally give you a HUGE thank you. I'm from the US and got into Drill/Grime about 2 years ago because my best friend lives in Cornwall. 20 seconds into this track I was HEATED for all the UK artists that don't ever get the international credit they deserve (in my opinion). I felt Drake was just hopping on the Drill/Grime wave because it was finally getting somewhat noticed. Thanks for the information man!
I must say I'm so glad Drake decided to shed some light on UK seen bc it led me to your reaction channel and Barz always or should always have an element of hidden messages....like you only understand if you are living it...you help keep people interested in the u.k. grme by your breakdown. Nice job...I have started at the bottom of your list and working my way to the present at this point...do not stop doing this delivery
I thought it was dope. I can appreciate an artist like Drake showing love to other genres to give them that exposure that they rightfully deserve. Unfortunately you can't please everyone. I truly believe he is genuine in what he is tryna do for those scenes and artists he puts on. Great reaction as always my G. Keep pushin, bless!
Brother, big ups to your channel from the U.S. I liked this track by Drake. I interpreted it as him giving his own cool take on the drill sound. I don’t think ‘soft/smooth drill’ as a description herein would be derogatory. If anything, a description of “War” like that would be significant because I’ve never heard an interpretation of drill by a non-UK artist quite like Drake’s. So kudos to Drizzy’s Midas touch and ear for sound. I’ll be bumping this in the car for sure. I appreciate how you complement your real-time reaction to the song with the other half of the video going into a tasteful analysis of the music nuances/artist/pop culture just received. Not a lot of so-called reactors do that because they don’t want see themselves as and/or can’t be ‘responders’ in the edutainment sense. I remember watching a video of yours in reaction to a Skepta joint way back-I don’t know why I didn’t subscribe then. However, I’m subscribing now. Good stuff!
Fearful drill will become to commercial after rappers like Drake be certifying the sound. This might dilute the raw flavour of what these uk artists are putting out right now. Just my opinion.
I hear that but if these artist really want to get out of their current situation. Drill being commercial will be good for them. They can stop spitting about splashing ops and spit about enjoying life instead of taking life's. The only thing holding UK drill back from going global is the content. If they can flip the content of what they're spitting I can see it going global
@@francissmalls3882 that's his point that's not what drill is or what drill is about drill is about living in the struggle and those things we talk about
@@Mkvs68 everything has to evolve my guy. There's only so much man can rap about putting man in a spliff. Same way hip hop started out as a small genre and evolved the same thing needs to happen with UK drill. Or it will end up like garage and funky house.
Josh Aarons Uk drill and drill in general has evolved and will always evolve. If it becomes commercialised im sure the UK scene will change it up. Look at what zone 2 did this month, drake cant copy that side of drill
Drake left out any attempts at ad-libs. The ad-lib element is one of my favorite parts of UK Drill, it makes it more exciting and creative. Also gives the vocalists a chance to create some signature sounds and lines with ad-libs. This is why his track feels pretty empty and sleepy in my opinion. It's a good song but I suspect Drake either totally forgot about ad-libs or was too apprehensive to commit to any one ad-lib, as they tend to stick with you once the ad-lib gets popular. Happy New Year sir, I wish you the best of success and growth in 2020 and beyond!
I'd never seen the video to the UK war track but just realised that's where my garage is hahaha and the mrs wonders why I ain't on going to the garage when it gets dark lmao
I was def waiting for this one. I don't think the track is "bad", but it's not something I would play again. I do appreciate artists that try to make the genre more digestible to a more mainstream audience. All I care about is if he's going to use his platform to try to pull some of the youths off the roads if he gonna try to be part of the scene.
Yeah I’d rather he didn’t tbh, he’s a dope artist one of my faves but drill is very raw.. and he just isn’t 🤷🏾♂️ 💯💯 this is the guy that gave us the classic take care... had issues with xxx and rap styles now it’s UK drill... As much as he’s given to our scene, allow the real Drillers & young mandem to do their thing. They made 🔥
