Good to know about the horrible mosquitoes in the lower parts of the trails. Best to hold off until early September for these hikes.

Thanks Rosser! You planning on running the loop? I’m jealous of you long distancers covering so much ground! I’ll have another video dayhiking the entire 29-mile Maroon Bells Four Pass Loop coming at some point to. Did it Labor Day weekend 👌

Much appreciated! Still trying to plan more trips to PNW. Need to hit Crater Lake in the fall, Columbia River Gorge when it's back to being fully open, really need an Olympic backpacking trip, Skyline trail around Mt Hood and Wonderland Trail around Rainier, just to name a few on my list!

"haven't hitchhiked like that in quite some time" hahaha nice vid... you mixing in the gopro at all? some of the shots seems stabilized

Yeah man, pretty much the entire climb up to the mountain goats and sliding down the snow is all GoPro. Then I think the battery died and I was using Canon and Osmo Pocket coming down, then got a new battery in the GoPro when I started hitchhiking. I've been using the GoPros (I have both the 7 Black and 8 Black) as my primary camera on the trails now. Super stable with Hypersmooth Boost, don't have to deal with any focusing issues, fully waterproof, super small, and I can plug in an external microphone if I need to.

not sure about wild goat/sheep you pictured, but in central Asia exists type called Argali
they are amazing. they can climb almost vertical, up /dwn, course sometimes they die.
