As an Inuit, I find this funny. Considering I'm also gay makes it that much more funny. The fact that I know of no other homosexual Inuit is the cherry on top.
As of right now, Phil is an actor and comedian in the UK, Sean is still doing musica stand up comedy in Canada and elsewhere, and Greg is working as a counselor, creative arts therapist and performer at Gisborne secondary college in Australia from what I know. Even though it's been over 20 years, itd be amazing if they even just did a one off CD collab of a few songs together. If a reunion ever came about, thatd be effing perfect.
I remember when I was eleven and this song cracked me and my dad up. Being native American sometimes the only humor is LGBTQ humor. My dad at the time would play this to anyone who needed cheering up no matter the political correctness or time. Rest in Heaven daddy. You deserve it.
My condolences for your dad. On the up side, that is a fantastic memory to have of him! I don't think anyone, gay or Inuit, was actually offended by this song and it was Hilarious!
If we don't laugh at the worst in our shared history, and if we can't come together in peace, we will never be friends. I wish I could have met your dad; he sounds like my kind of guy. I'm a man who will show people stuff that makes them uncomfortable, while I laugh my ass off. I don't know what your beliefs are, so I will state it this way... May God bless your father. May the Great Spirit bring your father to the best hunting grounds. May God give your father peace. May the Great Spirit give your father many years of peace. In either sense... May your father rest well, and be happy. And may he welcome you when it's time for YOU to go to where he is. --Rev. Mark A Lauer
These comments make me proud. For some reason this popped on my head today. First heard it in like 8th grade. Just turned 33. This will always be funny to me. Damn those impressions spot on lol
I remember watching this live when it first aired. I laughed so hard when I first saw it. Thank you for posting this video. Mad TV was my middle school and early high school years!
My friends covered this at an open mic c. 2003 and added an Ozzy Osbourne verse with one of them swearing incoherently and yelling for Sharon. It was both timely and hilarious.
Saw this episode way back when it was first aired and this whole time I thought they were Tenacious D. So I decided to look for it on here on TH-cam and low and behold I finally learned who they are. I miss Mad TV. I'd stay up late while my dad was at work just to watch it.
The Monday after this debut my friend mark boomhower came to the bus stop & sang it to me. We were around 10 & I always sang this song to myself without ever actually having heard it myself. This is the first time.
Heard this about a decade ago.. And for some reason? It popped into my head yesterday.. Now my girlfriend probably fears I will move to Alaska due to me singing it.. Thank you for freeing me.
+tearpear12 "no you're not" (?!?!?). Wtf! Says who? You? If u factually know that he is not ... fine. But if u don't know him, & you're just spittin sh!t talk out there for some (?mental?) reason, plz xplain what necessitates u to do so. I'm curious. It (your comment) seems so frivolous and yet, as with all things, there's obviously some driving factor(s) behind it. Educate me plz (and perhaps even yourself at the same time).
Gay people = Actually love this/find it hilarious. PC/SJW Warriors who are not gay or have zero to do with this = RIOT/Protest/Petition to have this removed. Good ol' 2010+.
@@petesmart1983 No I mean everyone riots over songs like these since 2010... nobody had a problem with it pre-2000 because our lame ass woke/SJW western culture didn't exist...which has created more racism, sexism, and homophobia than ever before in the last 75+ years.
I remember somehow stumbling across this song on something like Napster or Limewire back in the day because the song was listed incorrectly as a Tenacious D. 😂
Greg (the guy in the middle) was my counselor for a year or two. Last I heard he was at my old primary school teaching/assisting kids. I hope he's doing well. He was a funny bloke when I met him. He's my favourite Eskimo and I hope to see him again one day soon.
I love this song so much! I had forgotten about it, had it on my computer about 5 years ago and I found it while downloading Tenacious D but now I know it belongs to these guys! They are so talented and funny! Like Tenacious D they are both great musicians and great comedians!
THe funny thing about this song. In denmark the Debate is GOing crazy over the term "eskimo". We have an icecream called a "giant eskimo", and people are fucking going crazy. i miss the times when people laughed.
I used to sneak watch MadTV as a kid because my mom would say it was inappropriate. And, I remember watching this in grade school and wondering if I was gay myself. lol The last minute and a half of this I appreciate more as an adult now b/c I finally understand and find all the references hilarious.
Yes it is. Joe Costa WAS in the group however, but was replaced by the guy in the middle (Greg Neale) And thank you for knowing who Sean Cullen is, the man is absolutely hysterical and deserves more recognition.
I can't be the only person who first heard this on a mislabelled MP3 on Kazaa and thought for years it was by Tenacious D even though you can tell even from just the audio that it isn't. Right?
2:16 im the only gay eskimooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I remember watching this around age 9 with my best friend thinking this was basically the pinnacle of comedy. Doesn't get any better than this.
same here, thought it was the funniest thing i'd ever seen
Same here, it was so good. It's why we still remember this today, with all the lyrics too.
monumentalbasser same. Saw them perform it on Just for Laughs, along with acts like DAAS, Vacant Lot and Richard Jenner.
ditto
Me too bud, I was 10 watching it alone on the couch. Good memories!
As an Inuit, I find this funny. Considering I'm also gay makes it that much more funny. The fact that I know of no other homosexual Inuit is the cherry on top.
Shadow3397 Poor guy :(
I'm from Juneau and my friends would play this for me back in school XD
dat north pole tho
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't know if your friend Tarka would be into. Lol
Suddenly remembered this out of nowhere. Brilliant.
I was just washing my car and it came into my head for no reason. LOL
I woke up with it in my head! For the first time in 15 years 😂
My brain:
Corky and the juice pigs
Me:
Understood

And, as I said above, Sean is also acting. I'm watching him on The Spencer Sisters "as we speak". Oh, the episode is called "The Decorator's Debacle".
Terrific HARMONY! HILARIOUS~Love the snarky dig at the brothers in Oasis, too! ;)

His Van Morrisson impression is just amazing
How are you fred
The struggle is REAL. Happy pride month (2023) to our gay friends in the artic tundra!
The middle guy's body movements elevate this from genius to godlike!
Saw this on TV a million years ago...I still get it stuck in my head! :D
Quite literally the greatest comedy ‘Bit’ ever, and the only one i revisit every now and then
Please don't ever cancel this... please.
I remember watching this live when it first aired. I laughed so hard when I first saw it. Thank you for posting this video. Mad TV was my middle school and early high school years!
I remember this when it was on the Hilarious Mad TV show !!
The Lead singer came out to Afghanistan in 2012 he was awesome!! Had us all in stitches!!
he then got beheaded
Ian Callaghan Very funny
The bob dylan and van morrison one has me in stitches, watched this when I was a child and it never fails to make me laugh
Jesus Christ fits in there somehow as well. And the crack was good
Yes, those imitations were excellent. Oasis less so, because Gallagher never sang that well in tune! 🤣
My friends covered this at an open mic c. 2003 and added an Ozzy Osbourne verse with one of them swearing incoherently and yelling for Sharon. It was both timely and hilarious.
1:24 chubby guy to the right with his little solo kills me every time XD
I watched this shit back when it aired...and I lost it on that part you're talking about! I've always come back to watch literally just that part lol
Checking in on this internet classic. I miss when people could do this and not get cancelled or lambasted. It’s hilarious
Saw this episode way back when it was first aired and this whole time I thought they were Tenacious D. So I decided to look for it on here on TH-cam and low and behold I finally learned who they are. I miss Mad TV. I'd stay up late while my dad was at work just to watch it.
I’ve sung this song since I saw it air.
Same

fuckkk yeass
Facts
Same!! It's kinda insane how you hear it once and never forget it 😂😂😂😂
oh wow this brings back memories, i used to have a burned cd of all kinds of these comedy songs I wish i could find it
The Monday after this debut my friend mark boomhower came to the bus stop & sang it to me. We were around 10 & I always sang this song to myself without ever actually having heard it myself. This is the first time.
Back in the day, I used to sing this in middle school to get a laugh out of the other kids. Those were the days 😂
Heard this about a decade ago.. And for some reason? It popped into my head yesterday.. Now my girlfriend probably fears I will move to Alaska due to me singing it.. Thank you for freeing me.
And the crack was good.
mintycbo
Thats "craic".. Sorry i had to!
Eoin Gorman lol...
mintycbo Jesus Christ fits in there somehow as well
This just happened to me too. Heard it about 10 years ago...the Van Morrison parody gets me every damned time
Take me back 10 years
The song that popped in my head when I saw the last ep of The Legend of Korra. That final scene though.
I downloaded this on Napster so so so many years ago and would put it as a “bonus track” when any of my friends would want me to burn a cd for them.
I still to this day sing the Ric Ocasek part in my kitchen randomly. I’m the only gay Eskimo, oh, ohh, OHHH, I’m the ooonly, one, I, knoooow….. 🤣🤣🤣
I keep hearing the Pretenders version myself.
This is how my brain remembers Ric Ocasek is the lead singer of The Cars.
I'm Eskimo... That was funny shit! But I'm still not switching teams.
John Bruno no you're not
+tearpear12 "no you're not" (?!?!?). Wtf! Says who? You? If u factually know that he is not ... fine. Educate me plz (and perhaps even yourself at the same time).
Is it because u would be the only gay Eskimo?
Er why do you feel so insecure that you have to justify that?
Same here cousin lol
RIP, Ric Ocasek.
Very funny. I particularly like the celebrity impressions at the end.
That is some serious talent. To be able to switch styles so effortlessly and so spot on, is remarkably difficult.
When I've had a sh**y day, this always gives me a chuckle
Timeless. Still put smile on my face
I cannot describe the rage that washes over me when people think this a tenacious d song
It wasn't my fault, but now I know the truth.
Props to whoever booked this band
Their impressions of the other artists are shockingly accurate!
Still such a good good song.
I remember watching this sat night on mad TV I was crying laughing 😂! Too funny!
Found this song thanks to Limewire many years ago and never knew of its origins until now
Same same!
Same
Truly a gay classic that's never been topped.
Idk I'm pretty sure they've all been topped...
Still holds up
I remembered this from watching it on tv in the 90s
I haven't seen this in decades and it's funnier than I remember
Gay people = Actually love this/find it hilarious.
PC/SJW Warriors who are not gay or have zero to do with this = RIOT/Protest/Petition to have this removed.
Good ol' 2010+.
Me and my gay friends love this song. No one has a sense of humour these days.
2010? The song came out in 93🙄
@@petesmart1983 No I mean everyone riots over songs like these since 2010... nobody had a problem with it pre-2000 because our lame ass woke/SJW western culture didn't exist...which has created more racism, sexism, and homophobia than ever before in the last 75+ years.
Still epic 2022
I remember somehow stumbling across this song on something like Napster or Limewire back in the day because the song was listed incorrectly as a Tenacious D. 😂
Ahhh i remember this it turned me gay in the 90's
That was hilarious!
2015 and still the funniest song on TH-cam.
Greg (the guy in the middle) was my counselor for a year or two. Last I heard he was at my old primary school teaching/assisting kids. I hope he's doing well. He was a funny bloke when I met him. He's my favourite Eskimo and I hope to see him again one day soon.
Wait, are these guys canadian or australian? I noticed your name lol
I held it together until Van Morrison - then I lost my shit!!!
... but the crack was good.
You and me both. Dylan and Ocasek strained the joists, but Morrison caved in the building.
I love this song so much! I had forgotten about it, had it on my computer about 5 years ago and I found it while downloading Tenacious D but now I know it belongs to these guys! They are so talented and funny! Like Tenacious D they are both great musicians and great comedians!
Dafydd Thomas's Eskimo counterpart
I snortled all over my computer at the Van Morrison impression
Idk what made me think of this song again, but here I am. A 31 year old dude in his bed laughing still.
I'm turning 35 on the 29th
Came back to after learned of Ric Ocasek's passing. RIP Ocasek.
nuckfluckchuckbuck
im naming my next dog that...
Man i'd love to see you go searching for your dog after it runs of some day. nuckfluckchuckbuk? Nucfluckchukbuk?? NUCKFLUCKCHUCKBUCK COME HERE BOY!
This sort of thing could never be performed today. And we're the poorer for that.
Indeed, we're serving 25 to life in the political correctional facility.
geekguitars I thought it was the death penalty...
Stephen still performs this song on comedy fests etc. Unfortunately only solo, as the group split a while ago.
The funny thing is that it probably *would* be played today, but by an actual gay Inuit, instead of three straight white dudes.
Thank You Sooooo much for posting this. Brings me way bad, saw it when it aired, nearly pissed myself laughing
"Jesus Christ fits in there somehow as well. And the crack was good."
Yet another moving and timeless quote by the late-great Vaniel Morrison!
I rember watching this in my early teens and ive been si ging it for years absolutely legendary
Saw the guy on the left in stand-up yesterday. So freaking funny.
He played this song at the end as well; could not believe my luck.
The full (non-live) song can be found on: "Dr. Demento, Dementia 2000, The 30th Anniversary Collection" CDs.
THe funny thing about this song.
In denmark the Debate is GOing crazy over the term "eskimo".
We have an icecream called a "giant eskimo", and people are fucking going crazy.
i miss the times when people laughed.
Canadian insanity at its best. Cheers !
I remember watching this as a teen. 😂
"Like Oasis!" *fighting ensues*
Oh oh oh oh! Lol - I used to have this song on repeat as a teenager. Friggin hilarious.
Oasis lol very accurate and hilarious
I saw this for the first time when I was like 11 or 12. I still laugh at it and I've always remembered the chorus 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Unfortunately I am not the only gay Eskimo Yupik in my tribe, there are 6 of us in my town. 😂
LMFAO, the Van Morrison one :')
Shit, I remember seeing this live.
God I miss MAD TV and 90's TV in general
I used to sneak watch MadTV as a kid because my mom would say it was inappropriate. And, I remember watching this in grade school and wondering if I was gay myself. lol The last minute and a half of this I appreciate more as an adult now b/c I finally understand and find all the references hilarious.

The one in the vest on the right is so very, very sincere about it all.
I thought this song was by The Higgins Boys and Gruber...turns out it was Corky and The Juice Pigs. I don't know how I could've confused them.
and the seals, they sing now...
The Bob Dylan impersonation was good as well
And the seals they sing now.
Still funny as hell in 2021
Classic.. after all these years still solid comedy :D
Gotta love that shiny black shirt.
For years i had to listen to this song once a day just so it would get OUT of my head for the day. ...love this song :3
I can't be the only person who first heard this on a mislabelled MP3 on Kazaa and thought for years it was by Tenacious D even though you can tell even from just the audio that it isn't. Right?
Tenacious D bought a license from these guys to perform it. So they have a version of it too.
YES I wondered how I knew this!
I lose it at The Cars every time.
This speaks to me at a spiritual level
It's kinda messed up that I immediately came here after watching a clip of an eskimo documentary
Same here - Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things on Amazon Prime Video.
This somehow became our friend Christmas song years ago. We sing it most Christmases we are together
This song always cracks me up
2:16 im the only gay eskimooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
For the ones who were here when this first came out ... nobody from this age will know WTF WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AND I LOVE IT!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Brilliant.Never fails to make you laugh. We were lucky enough to have Phil Nichol in The Limelight Movie. Corky were the dons !
luf it, i did this song with 2 of my friends on a talentshow! they loved it!
1:57 The best part!
104 people couldn't find a decent pair of whale skin tights
The last half of this with the impressions is hilariously awesome!
