Our Worm's Head Scramble A WALK in The PARK? Gower Peninsula

- Our hike out to the tidal island of Worm's Head at Rhossili in the beautiful Gower Peninsula of South Wales.
Luckily for us the tide is already out as we arrive mid morning. So we have at least a 4 hour window to safely cross the causeway and get back! Checking the tide times is very important to prevent being stranded on the island for 12 hours. Over the years people have drowned, trying to swim back across to the mainland due to dangerous currents. We won't be swimming back! So we set off and I eventually make it to the top of the outer head whilst my wife waits by the inner head. It's a photographers paradise here, but taking my camera slows me down because of the all fours scrambling needed in some areas of jagged rocks and mini crevices. All in all though, a fantastic hike out and back, in what must be one of the UK's most scenic places!

We love worms head. We almost got stuck by the tide before. Brings back great memories. Chelsea and Mike
Thanks for your comments! Yes, it's a great place to be! Cheers👍
Wonderful! Karen isn't the only crab lady - I do a fair bit of that myself.xx
Haha thanks Kate! Yes, progress took longer than anticipated on the causeway section. Thankfully she didn't come onto the jagged rock sections otherwise we'd still be there! 🤣😂🤣Cheers👍
Let me know when you are down next. Gower is my home stomping ground
Hi Nigel, You're your fortunate to have such amazing countryside on your doorstep, which is fantastic for photography! Not sure however when I'll next be down, but if I am I'll let you know! Cheers👍
Nigel, better you than me. Thanks mate.
I probably over dramatised it a little - hahaha! Cheers👍
This place looks amazing 😍 What did you film it with?
Hello again! Thanks so much for your comments. It was mostly filmed with an iPhone 14Pro in 4K. Other images with a Fuji-XT3 with 16-80 & 70-300mm lenses. Cheers👍
Hi, I think you asked me about the GoPro cloud storage they offer? In the UK, it's on offer at the moment for £25 for the year, going up to £50 the following year! Cheers👍
@@NigelHarperPhoto Good to know, thank you! Can you store there other files too?
@@nanetticat I've no idea as I don't use it! Just iCloud on my iPhone is the only cloud storage I use.👍
