Tamiya DT-02 / 03 Racing in Japan. Highlights! DT02 ナイトレース ＠ Carnosa RC Park 🏁

- What a night! There was plenty of action in Round 3 of the DT-02 / 03 race. As my race spec DT-02MS needs gearbox maintenance, I opted to enter my mildly modified (bearings, cva dampers and cooling fan) Holiday Buggy. 😁 I wasn't expecting to do very well. The suspension is too soft, the body too heavy, ride height too high and it was running a 17T pinion. But to my surprise and delight I somehow managed to come 3rd overall! Holiday Buggy for the win! 👍
The Holiday Buggy is fast becoming one of my most favorite RC's. There's something about it. I always take it with me whenever I go to the track. It is a lot of fun for the money and never fails to put a smile on your face. 👍
Unfortunately the body took a beating and the front fender ended up getting split in all the chaos. 😩 But it was a fun night! 👍 Sadly, I forgot to bring my GoPro or camera mount, so I was only able to film using my phone. As such, there is no footage of my races.🙄 Sorry!
If you're new here and confused about the races:
RACE FORMAT:
Based on Team Chonmage's rules. Races are in a "deathmatch" style. No marshals needed. If you crash, flip or become stuck during the race, that is where you remain until the end of the race. Though, if at some point you're able to move again, you can continue the race as a "zombie". Points are awarded only if you finish the race.
MACHINE REGULATIONS:
DT-02 / DT-03 CUP
Kit 540 motor, kit spur with either the 17T or 19T pinion. You must also use the kit gearbox casing and front and rear suspension arms.

All good fun! 😁 Very little damage though - few turnbuckles popped off but that's about it. My "hard bodied" Holiday Buggy didn't take too kindly to the rough and tumble though! 😅
Still loads of fun. And fixing after is part of the fun. Is for me anyways. Keep these videos coming!!!
