J’ai fait le tendeur surib w246 ce matin elle m’a beaucoup aider ta vidéo merci 🙏 beaucoup il m’a fallu un pont pour le faire un peut galère quand même même avec le pont
Hi i have a question, I have already installed mine while installing it was going in really freely with hand tightening and it was stoped when it reached to head. Then i use wrench from lets say 10oclock to 3oclock. Was your like that too?. Also I didn't have torque wrench so i have just tightened like oil drain bolt.
@@abaig4154 the tensioner is fitted using a crush washer, so expect to have a resistance until it is fully tightened. It is difficult to use a torque wrench because of the access, so I used a socket wrench and a firm pull. The size of the hex head and the thread allow a firm pull without risk of damaging the thread, similar to the force used when tightening the oil drain plug, as you said. I have had no problems with oil leaks.
Hi, well done👍. I would like to do the same…some questions: when you say disconnect the battery, you mean positive and negative or just the negative is enough?, it is necessary to desamble the turbo plastic house from down the vehicle…it is possible to change the tensione from that position too? Are you able to have the strength of 80N from upside as you showed? Or better from down side…if the car is on a lift.. thanks for your answer. In future you can make a video about cleaning the EGR valve…will be very useful 🖐
Replacing the tensioner has returned the engine to normal sounding during running, and there is no longer an audible rattle on first start up from cold. It now appears to be retaining sufficient oil volume/pressure overnight to prevent the tensioner from retreating away from the chain guide and causing the chain to rattle before the oil pressure builds.
@@francisvalencelle8282 you can get a standard 25cm long ratchet handle with socket from above. You need a very long socket extension bar to reach from below. I tightened the tensioner by feel, not using a torque wrench. I have driven more than 1,000 km with no issues and the engine chain is now quiet.
@@abaig4154 yes, the old tensioner had a worn oil seal due to continuous movement controlling the cam chain. It no longer retained the oil pressure allowing the chain to thrash around. Replacing the tensioner puts the correct pressure onto the cam chain guide.

Hi, did the ratteling go away after you replaced the tensioner? Cheers

@@francisvalencelle8282 2 hours.
Simply just remove the old adjustor and put the new one ?
