    As someone who uses both iPhone and Android phone, all I can say is that the iPhone is a great phone, while the S23Ultra is a great phone and multi-tool.

    • @FreshTechTherapy
      @FreshTechTherapy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Absolutely agree. The android is such a multifunction tool. I do think that Apple is always overly concerned about device overlap. I think the proof is that they still don’t offer touchscreens on their laptops.

      Let me dare to ask.. which is your daily driver since you are having that Apple Watch on the wrist?

    • @FreshTechTherapy
      @FreshTechTherapy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      GREAT 🙋‍♂️ QUESTION It completely slipped my mind, I have no shame to say the Apple Watch is epic and I’m on the Ultra Watch 2, so even if I hated iPhone (I don’t hate it) It’s work it to me to at least own one so I can keep my Apple Watch ⌚️ happy.
      As far as daily drivers, both phones are daily
      Android is my primary number, work, business, many contacts
      iPhone is play, family text, beach/pool, weekend if I’m feeling stressed from work I leave the android at the house or in truck.
      Getting mobile work don’t during the week, slack, email, ring central, android & main number.

    I am one of those folks who do not have brand loyalties. I have an Apple Watch, iPads, PC, AirPod pro 2, iphones, google home hub and android (Z fold 4), and i buy whatever suits me regardless of brand. Never understood why people are crazy about brand loyalty - unless you hold apple or Google shares, or if one of the founders are your relatives of course. For the general public, you are nothing to them but a paying customer.
    I got a Z fold because there is no iPhone large enough for me, but for some tasks which even fold is too small for, I use my iPad. I dont use android tablets because iPad apps work better (but I bought a Samsung Tab for my mom). My iPhone is only for syncing to my Apple Watch because i need an iPhone for that. That’s because I find iPhone too small for me as a smart phone.
    Works very well for me. So my advice to everyone is, dont be too harped on brands. Just buy whatever suits you. Most apps have two versions anyway on both platforms so just buy two of everything that you need.

      Travis 💪 you were all in man! If I had to go with one definitely would be and android, even with the pros of Apple. Always assume as huge as Apple is that they would eventually become the easy winner. I’m not sure what a good analogy is here, but they are certainly not an easy win over android. There’s just so many people that have never experienced android. It’s weird. spread the word! Also, people have no idea that the galaxy book for ultra is pretty ultra Great Pick Travis 👍👍❤️💪 You can get an I-9 and 4070 in that thing! I really do love Lenovo business class laptops and probably should do a video on that I went with the P1 I was able to get a 4080 i7 and 96 gigs of ram - actually didn’t even turn my laptop on. I just cracked it open and upgraded before powering up. ⬆️ 🆙 🤣

    • @FreshTechTherapy
      @FreshTechTherapy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      As far as the ultra book, it is a Windows machine, high-end laptop, would be a great gaming machine, and Xbox replacement good versus great, depending on the 4050 versus the 4070 imo. As far as the question you mentioned Samsung ecosystem I would better refer to it as the android ecosystem. My favorite world would be Samsung hardware and pure. Google OS like you would experience on the pixel. In other words, I think Samsung has some of the best mobile hardware. The android OS by itself clean and pure is my personal favorite. Samsung ads on apps and integrations and services that are better than a few years ago but even my wife non techie likes the clean OS better than Samsung extra apps.

  • @MasterCamus
    @MasterCamus 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I'm on the same boat. Got an used fold5. Can't see replacing my iPhone. There's still so much annoyances on Samsung. Example, having to swipe twice when on same apps to sccess the quick toggles. Samsung or google wallet is not as convinient as apple pay, for me the back gedture on android is convenient but feels inconsistent as you never know if it's going back on app page or exit the app, can't acess the volume on software, lock screen is better on iPhone (s24 might have closed the gap) , many apps are not optimised for foldables and I'm talking about apps that is just blown app and you can't see the content properly, notifications on lock screen it's weird to expand and see all the notifications. You will constantly be swiping and going to home screen. When fold it's weird to use. The mat side is only available on the online special colours.
    Love the dcreen though and looking forward if one day Apple does a foldable.

Ya man, the Fold 5 is outrageously good choice. If I try another phone, it's with the understanding that the Fold 5 is in a league of its own. Hey Taran! Super easy answer man. I LOVE PIXEL AND PURE ANDROID I wanted to love the pixel fold. But the bezel feels like a 6-7 year old phone. The form factor was odd when open, but you could turn to the side and feel better. The Fold 5 is solid, solid, solid hinge ❤️, matte sides 🖤, battery leaves me never worried. Fold 5 or Pixel Fold 2 or 3 🤞

I didn't use it as much as I thought I would, and the battery life wasn't the best. Ultimately, the camera was the deciding factor for me to switch phones. Once foldable cameras catch up a bit, I'm definitely getting back into the foldables game. The OnePlus Open looks particularly impressive and tempting! @@FreshTechTherapy Since I have a smartphone, I was always thinking not to use a case, to be able to enjoy the beauty of the phone (think about the very beautiful iPhone 4 and X). But I never dared. Too expensive devices 😀
      The software of the Fold is a little more polished. I miss the convenience of being able to change quite everything with Good Lock. But it is not a dealbreaker for me. Also the Oneplus Open has no wireless charging, but I don't use that.
      The inner screen of the Oneplus Open is surely bright enough. I think brighter than the Fold 5.

      I primarily use my pen for work, creating diagrams and utilizing Photoshop for e-commerce purposes. The screenshot function, allowing annotations, is incredibly helpful when trying to visually explain certain concepts or issues. There are numerous other useful features, although I can't recall all of them right now. One standout aspect is the screen drawing experience, especially with the precision and options available in the Samsung Notes app when using the S Pen. Explaining it all in detail would take quite a while, haha!". You should get it, after a couple months you can't without it, and I was really suprised, the case is very thin. I thought it would be bulky. But not.

    MY 2023 list :
    1. Huawei mate x5 foldable 1 tb simply brilliant it has absolutely everything devoid of nothing
    2. My glorious incredible Samsung s23 ultra most fun phone ive ever owned
    3. ONE PLUS OPEN good hinge
    4. XIAOMI MIX FOLD 3 excellent design
    5. PIXEL 8 PRO impressive AI
    6. Iphone 15 pro max 1 tb great video and excellent clean implementation of their AI voice accessibility feature
    The Huawei mate x5 fold is phenomenal. It has micro SD card, every camera is incredible, 3 to 5 day battery, stylus pen works every screen , big front screen, emergency satellite crash etc it's amazing and I'm a big Samsung fan
    The iphone 15 pro max is my favorite iPhone but it can't compare to any of those androids with its limitations and many of those features like programmable side key and USB C Samsung has had for years. I use the s pen stylus every week on my s23 ultra for screen shots , volume gestures , precise AI photo editing , photos from a distance, and for typing and texting when my fingers get tired. It's one of the main reasons I like it more than the 15 pro max

    I use both (usually go back and forth). I stopped caring about iOS and Android after 2012 or so but I always recommend using a stock Android before delving into other UIs. I’ve been on iOS consistently since the iPhone 11 (and shortly used the Pixel 4a). In a couple of years I’ll likely go back to Android, my experience with Samsung’s UIs especially TouchWiz and now OneUI is why stay away from them. The OnePlus Open has me wanting to buy it but I don’t like custom UIs, launchers and ROMs. I’m waiting on the Pixel Fold 2. Really wishing that Google would buy Samsung and implement OneUI features into Android because I like Samsung’s hardware more than anything they do when it comes to software. As for Apple and iOS we will see what iOS 18 looks like (I’m not even keeping my fingers crossed anymore). Nice to see someone who isn’t close minded and is interested in trying other tech options every once in a while or indefinitely.

    can you use an Android phone if you have Apple devices like an iPad or Macbook Pro which you use for professional work? No one gives an exact answer to this question, so if you can share your honest opinion, it will help me decide what to buy. I personally do not use Apple apps at all only use Google apps also in my country, we do not use iMessage or Facetime no matter whether iPhone users or Android users we all use WhatsApp telegram, or Viber so the green or blue bubble dilemma is not for us. so when I look at a picture in this kind of scenario the only advantage to having an iPhone is airdrop file sharing, but the thing is in my country even the iPhone 14 pro costs 300$ more than the Galaxy S23 Ultra with 12/256GB spec version I do not mention 14 pro max and iPhone 15 line imagine yourself so my point is if the only advantage is airdrop is it that much important and only for that it worth to pay 300 or 400 or even 600$ more for iPhone? what would you recommend?

    • @FreshTechTherapy
      @FreshTechTherapy  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi there, Thank you for reaching out with your question - it’s a great one! While my channel primarily focuses on basic tech, I do have a background in IT and I’m happy to share some thoughts that might help.
      Firstly, it’s important to note that as a content creator, my suggestions are based on general knowledge and experience, and shouldn’t be taken as professional IT consultancy. Every business has unique needs, so it’s always best to consult directly with an IT professional for tailored advice.
      Now, onto your question about using Android phones with Apple devices like an iPad or MacBook Pro for professional work. You’re correct in observing that there isn’t direct interconnectivity between Android and Apple devices in the same way that Apple products integrate with each other (like Airdrop between iPhones and Macs). However, the key to effective tech integration in a business environment often lies in the cloud systems you choose.
      For many small businesses, the foundational decision isn’t so much about the phone but about the cloud ecosystem - either Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. These platforms are where you’ll manage collaboration with your team and handle your cloud-hosted data. Google Workspace includes tools like Google Drive, Chat, and Gmail, whereas Microsoft 365 offers OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook for email. When choosing between these, consider which set of tools you and your team are more comfortable with. Do you prefer Gmail and Google Docs, or do you lean towards Outlook and Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel? Both ecosystems have robust capabilities and can support businesses effectively into multi-million-dollar valuations.
      Regarding your specific question about Android vs. iPhone, the choice of phone often doesn’t dictate your business direction. Both Android and Apple devices can work well with either Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. It’s more about personal preference and cost considerations. For instance, if you’re inclined towards Android and use Google apps extensively, Android devices might offer some slight integrations that align well with Google Workspace. Conversely, iPhones are known for being user-friendly, especially when managing multiple devices. Regarding Airdrop being an exclusive iPhone feature - it’s indeed a handy tool for personal file sharing, but its importance varies based on individual needs and business operations. Given your context, where iMessage and FaceTime aren’t essential, and the cost difference is significant, it’s worth evaluating if Airdrop alone justifies the extra expense for an iPhone. In conclusion, both Android and iPhone have their merits and can fit into a business setting. The decision often comes down to which ecosystem you’re invested in (Google vs. Microsoft), personal preferences, and budget considerations. I hope this provides some clarity! Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

Funny and ironic, the most famous tech youtubers become famous thanks to subscribers. when they do some video, Every single minute before talking, that TH-camrs telling you "subscribe, push like button" because they need more subscribers and likes to generate more income from youtube, but when you need something and asking something on a comments section completely ZERO reaction and ZERO respond. Hey Jason, thanks for the comment. There are definitely some connections as you mentioned.
      One similarity is simplicity. I have owned three Teslas and I would like to say quality is a similarity however, each of my Teslas have had rattling issues that bothered me. The drivetrain and technology is definitely high-quality, and I was always satisfied with the acceleration. For years, it’s still fresh, Tesla acceleration is definitely the longest lasting fresh technology in my opinion.
      As far as Apple goes, I do see a lot of android fans out there with Teslas and love for Tesla as well. I have noticed a lot of the in-depth technicians and my engineer, friends use android and love Teslas. I also know those who just like to keep life simple have an iPhone and enjoy their Tesla also.

      I dislike the form factor of the z fold , the narrow front screen is awful imo , especially for someone with large ish hands and fingers, the crease down the screen is an eye sore , and being pretty confident that display will crack down the middle , it would drive me mad knowing it will fail eventually.
      I do like the idea of them though.
      I spoke to a young bloke a while ago , he loved his z fold and showed it to me , it was about 6 months old and already the screen was starting to split down the crease and it also had several dead pixels , he explained he used the shit out of it and didn’t care if it required a new screen ,and he had the previous model that also had the screen replaced .
      Maybe slab phones are a tad boring , and i have been a galaxy note boy since the note 2 (RIP galaxy note ! ) , and i also have the big iphones and other apple gear since the 12 series .
      But to many cons for too much money with the folds imo, id rather buy a good big slab and just use my tablet if i need a big portable screen.
      Not against folding devices , but id rather look at something with a less plasticy screen and a better form factor like surface duo perhaps as long as it wasnt a half assed attempt.
      As long as you’re happy with it that’s all that matters.

    • @FreshTechTherapy
      @FreshTechTherapy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s very true that there is risk for that screen. For the same price, you could get a slab phone and a tablet like an iPad Air for the same if you were OK with carrying two devices, or it worked well for your purpose.
