Yanmar Exhaust Mixing Elbow Replacement

Last summer I replaced our Yanmar exhaust mixing elbow on our 2GM20f.
The engine had been blowing more dark exhaust than I thought was normal so I ordered a new stainless steel mixing elbow.
The job didn't get done until late summer but it got done!
I ordered the part from hdimarine.net/...

I did the exact same improvement on our Yammer 3gm30f the summer after we bought our boat. We had lots of steam when motoring at 2,000 + rpms and limited water coming out the exhaust. After the upgrade to the new stainless elbow kit, the exhaust water would shoot out 10' behind the boat even at idle. It was a very gratifying project. Thanks for the video!

Glad that did the trick! I was dreading doing it but once I dug into it, it wasn’t bad.
