Very nice cabinet. I preordered the special edition Marvel arcade from Arcade1up. But I just got in the Street Fighter Head to Head Arcade1up Arcade and all I can say is wow!!!! I love it. It just plays and looks so much different than all the other cabinets.
With the upgraded parts, 2 player 6 button layout and just the cool look of the cabinet, its the perfect one to mod. If they get the Raspberry Pi 4 up and running well then it could be the perfect combination!
I'd love to see your mod version on this with the Pi3+, I just bought all the tools based off of your last video, and i'm not sure if it's going to work the same way.

Hmmmm do you think they would add Light Gun Arcade games into one cabinet? Like say one from the Time crisis series, House of the dead series, T2, Rambo, or Gunblade. This is probably more of a wishlist than them actually doing it lol.
Great video, I recently picked up the street fighter edition arcade 1up for 74 bucks at my local Walmart, going to mod it with either a full PC or a raspberry pi
In Canada, this unit with the extra base is $529 Canadian, which is over double of what you paid counting conversion. Perhaps I'll pop over the border one of these days...great video.
yeah sounds like someone's really gonna enjoy this one! seems like a really cool unit though. Sure I would've loved one of the vs. games in this set but the ones they started with to 'test the waters' I suppose aren't terrible picks. great video!
Thanks for reviewing this awesome cabinet. About the only things I can think of for you to do to that cab, is to get a riser, and add custom vinyl graphics, appropriate for this machine, and maybe the lighted marque. It would add about a hundred, or so to the cost, but it would still be cheaper than the collector's version. :)
I really wish I could have held out for this one versus the SF2 cab. The artwork alone is worth every penny. I stripped mine out and have a Ryzen 2700x / RX 580 PC with a Dell 20 inch monitor upgrade running ALL of my games. Thanks for doing this review, I always wanted to see this cab up close but haven't seen one in any stores.
$199 at Target? Dang! I have only seen one PacMan at $249 at a local Target. This would be a great score at that price. Can’t wait to see you do something with this.
Its MIA online. I went to a local store they were able to check other store not too far stock. Had to drive a little. Kingston NY Target had PAC MAN and Galaga at 200 Stcok was not on the floor. Marvel was 249.99.

It's funny I'm kind of the opposite in that the main game I always wanted a cab for was Mortal Kombat lol. I prefer capcom fighters too but something about MK is more iconic to me and my childhood. Just picked up the Costco MK bundle and couldnt be happier. This Marvel one might be my next pickup. Cool to see you enjoying it with your fam

My only issue with these machines is I want them bigger :) But pretty cool machine, I wonder if they will ever do a sit in cab those were my favourites from the 80s, like starwars.
@Tetsuo Yakama I live in California and the target in Cerritos carries MK2, Street Fighter and Pac-Man so maybe some of them actually do carry the marvel cabinet.
Actually I'm at my local target right now in NY and the have 2 if these in stock for $250. Trying to see if a sale is going on to get them down to that $200 price due from watching this video. Edit: I have a photo if anyone wants me to send them if they do not wanr to believe.

I'm really glad you did this review. It makes me feel better about this purchase as opposed to your review of older Arcade1Up cabinets. So glad they updated the controls and sound. I'd really like to see a mod video for this specific cabinet because I want to mod mine. Any chance it could be done on a minimal budget with no drilling? Just curious, I don't like needlessly wrecking this and would like to keep the original integrity of the out-of-box cabinet if possible.
I hope one day they do a gun con one and a racing with a wheel one so I can see you do crazy stuff. Gun con arcade with all House of the Dead games, Lethal Enforcers, Time Crisis games etc. And if they make one with a wheel basically all the great racers. Id be impressed if you got the Mario Kart arcade games on there.
I would love to put a Pi 4 in this with MvC 1 and 2. I wonder if they did anything different with board to fit Sanwa controls or did Sanwa make custom sized parts for the special edition?
id really like to see what lcd board you use for the monitor cause of the different ribbon cable it uses, if it uses the current lcd board or if you need a new or different version lcd board to make it work.

I was wondering if you were able to think of a way to easily switch back and forth between running the original board/arcade in it and the addition of the raspberry pi? So you could have em both hooked up and switch before starting up a sort of toggle or kvm kinda thing, ect.
