    Such a cool little set. You’re right about the yellow *in doses*. And the batteries are the perfect touch.

      @@DRYstudios1994 Thanks! I had no idea. This moves this from my “maybe” wishlist to my “buy now!”

    It’s a testament to how bright that vibrant yellow is when the minifigure head looks almost flesh tone against it. Bought this on the 1st and think it’s one of their best releases so far.

    I've always felt like the smaller sets in the $8-15 range really have been the core of what makes Lego Lego, and it makes me really happy to see such great sets in that price range, especially with such a bigger emphasis on giant, very expensive sets aimed at older audiences.

    I got this recently. I also got the light blue sports car last year. These simple City cars are great. And the Octan batteries I like to call "Power Cells" because that sounds cooler and more advanced. It would be interesting if the power cells started appearing in other sets. Maybe pushing the idea Octan was working them in as standard for all their tech.

    Almost completely like this set. I think it would be better if LEGO had added one more piece(a 1x2 jumper piece) for the charger connection port on the car. I took a 1x2 black jumper piece and placed it on the front bumper(some electric cars do have the charger port in the front). Also, when you place the minifig driver inside the car, you have to sit and lean the driver back at an angle so the back cab canopy piece doesn't dip.

    Love this! Reminds me of the small sets I would get as a kid in the late 80s and early 90s. We didn’t have much money but once a week I’d get to go to Toys R Us and pick out a Lego set. Small, generic, and inexpensive usually in the $2.99 or $4.99 range, occasionally I could get a mid size set in the $7.99 or $9.99 range. They weren’t elaborate or anything, but as a kid they were great! I could build them and play with them for awhile and then not feel bad about breaking them apart and throwing the pieces into my huge lose parts bin. Simpler times, I wish Lego would do more of these types of sets.

    I like the use of the two canopy/windscreen, they do avoid my pet peeve of lego's car having roofs who are a bit too square. Color scheme is nice, even the side build is kind of cute. Two minor nitpicks, that spoiler is a bit plain and the continuity between the rocker panel and the front spoiler seems off on some angles.

    I can only imagine this car being sold in real life with a "batteries not included" warning. 🤣
    But serious, it's a nice little model. I'm glad they decide not going to a "spaceship" design most electric cars have, or not going once more for the Smart-clone. Its shape and color scheme still makes it a little Cyberpunk just like the ones on the tuning garage, but it's not bad though, and luckily no stickers to be applied.

    If there's one thing I think could have improved this would be a more obvious place to connect that charging cable. I guess you can connect it to the studs above the front fenders, but that does look a bit weird. But apart from that, this is pretty much perfect for €10.

  • @SystemUnderSiege
    @SystemUnderSiege ปีที่แล้ว

    Got this today, it was cool, lots of nice 10$ city sets which is at least some relief to those who can't afford the 110-130$ (Canadian) city sets with less than 500 pieces. That yellow color is cool and mixes nicely with the blue and transparent blue.
    My one silly complaint is that the spot to connect the plug is at the front of the car while the batteries are at the back. I just feel like they should be on the same side, but that's minor.

    I love the bright yellow color, but I had a lot of problems with the quality of these parts: Most of them just don't hold/stick together the way parts in other colors do. I have hundreds of vibrant yellow parts at home (most of which I bought through Lego's old "Pick A Brick" store, before they decided to destroy this great buying opportunity), and they are mostly junk. Maybe they use a different material for these parts, I have no idea why that is. After all, you can easily see that they are slightly translucent, possibly also a sign of inferior quality.
