... What? I was looking at my twitter. XD Just kidding, I was born into the last year of the N64, but my family is very oldschool when it comes to gaming, (NES oldschool) so I can understand the Nostalgia and everything that a game means to someone, and I hope that people can still play games without being criticized.
Cuzzys 2nd Channel I have no idea, I read somewhere it was somebody using a microwave oven to destroy a pizza or something like that but that could be just a rumour.
This and Zallard's _Super Punch Out!!_ run were my favorite runs of the marathon, edging out _F-Zero GX_ and _Super Metroid_. Hype incarnate right here.
For those of you hating on this guy keep in mind just like any other skill or talent it takes hard work and dedication to develop it. Just b/c it may not be what you're into doesn't mean he hasn't worked just as hard. Show some respect.
I think this is one of the best speed run of all speed run years. I'v watched this twice with huge excitment and the crowed was great. Punch-out was one of my favourite games.
Back in the late 80's i was so addicted to this game that i could make it to king hippo blindfolded. I stopped trying to play it blindfolded after i got to that guy. To see this guy finish what i started is truly amazing.
I just found out about gdq days ago. But I've been watching these videos practically nonstop. I'm highly impressed at the level of play these guys show. Keep up the good work guys. I'm gonna tune in and donate next year for sure.
I just wanna say that watching this a year ago inspired me to one day play this game if I ever got the chance. I grew up with an NES, but never got to play this game because it wasn't in our library. Thanks to the release of the NES Classic Edition Mini and by learning how to hack the kernel, I was able to port this version of Punch-Out to it. Time to start practicing! XD
Revisiting this after watching the AGDQ 2015 run. Sinister1 is a great guy and this (definitely plus the Super Punch-Out blindfolded) was one of the best segments of any AGDQ ever.
yeah and I caught on to his "theme" of game playing...he has played this sooo much that he memorised the combos and timeing...this guy reminds me of the old school WIZARD tornys back in the eightys...get a pro gamer from back then up to snuff and teach them to play todays games and you would have one hell of a challenge!
+TheAxeGrinder haha I tought the exact same thing. When he read that part i was like oooh damn =( what are they going to say!? and theyre all like, ook let's get this shit going
I love how the crowd goes wild after he knocks them out. And people still say gaming "isn't a sport". I guess chess, armwrestling, and memory competitions aren't sports either.
The runner inspired by Sinister1 to do a serious run of this game blindfolded is called Schmitty300 here on TH-cam. That run starts with Bald Bull 2 because the 1st part of the video was lost. He did have live witnesses for the run as well. Well done, both of you. Jedi, indeed.
I love the guy on the couch who keep be boppin his head when ever mac throws a punch, and tries to start claps, and makes it look like his life really sucks.
I use to be able to beat Tison by ducking punches until he threw his uppercuts in the beginning. It was very mechanical, and although it didn't succeed 100% of the time, it worked enough. Maybe a blindfolded run could use the same method
Remember when games could have playful national stereotypes like this and not be seen as horrible for it? Heck, they even have national stereotypes of the home country.
Halloween137 little mac was debuted the 13th, this video came out the 15th. thats within the same week, not even 5 days away. it still works contextually

I haven't played this game in a long ass time, but I'm watching this video muted (Psst, don't tell my boss), and I can still hear each boxer's theme in my head... Such great times. :D

The guy on the couch in the beanie who just nods his head the entire time is my spirit animal.
That may be breakdown777, who ran super meatboy at agdq 2013
Burnt Lamp Yep, he pointed their name out in the 2nd round of Tyson, when they mentioned how to earn stars.
That guy looks cool. People say you should wear fitting clothes, but clearly it's not a, well, one-size-fits all rule because the baggy look suits him.
Haha golden...
I know that guy
I love how excited everybody gets with each knockout at the end. Just goes to show the appreciation people have for how friggin' hard this feat is.
indeed i would assume it's pretty exciting just being there
It's like Rocky. He lost, but he went the distance.
He has the guts, he has the glory, he's not gonna stop! HE TRULY IS A SURVIVOR!

Imagine if he beat Mike blindfolded, that would have been the hypest shit in AGDQ history.
Mr Madness What if someone beat Battletoads blindfolded...
Mr Madness it would work yet then someone would yell "hey, mike is going for the ears" and the match is lost.
Mr Madness it's like how Sinister said. it's as hard as trying to win the powerball.

Truth.
This was easily the highlight of the entire marathon. Sinister1 is amazing.
Certainly ties the fire drill...
Cuzzys 2nd Channel Fuck the fire drill man, it threw Trihax so much off his game.
Nergal134 I agree... Did they ever find out what caused it/who pulled it??

The Super Punch-Out! blindfold run was better.
Easiest couch commentary I ever did, and one of the best times to have a front row seat in GDQ history. It was simply amazing to watch.
I love the crowd on this one. They´re sooo into it. Super fun to watch
Having Zallard there is so cool. They all just supported each other, makes me feel all fuzzy

is that really possible. I don't know for sure, but I'm sure thats theres some RNG involved.
aleclevine666 I highly doubt so since audio cues are a big part of the blindfolded MTPO run.
Brian Taylor He wouldn't be able to get 1/4th of the game blindfolded/muted.
