Got one! Love it!! For those that don’t think these are fast enough, I stumbled on the perfect solution: buy a Harley bagger as your second bike. It will make your Thruxton feel like a rocketship.
Suggestion. Fit a 37t rear sprocket. 60/65 mph comes in at 3300/3500 rpm. 75/80mph is at 3900/4000 rpm. I did it on my 1200 Thruxton. Also upgraded handling with progressive springs, bi turbo rear shocks and Michelin Road 6 tyres. Can hold high speed on most tight corners and copes with low quality local roads. On open straight roads these bikes are ok. No amazing power above 100 mph. But on a twisty road these Thruxtons inspire more confidence than my Kawasaki zx14R gave me, unless somehow I fluked all the suspension adjusting. Setup on windy road these bikes are fantastic fun. Have Triumph V&H pipes with a Tek Engineering decat in the mail.
