- Buses are an important part of public transport system in Germany. In this video, we explore Essen Spurbus, which is a guided bus with a small horizontal wheels. This guided busway is a BRT (bus rapid transit) type line, which is similar to O-Bahn line in Adelaide. It is served by Mercedes Benz Citaro 0530G buses.

This is how mass transit shoud run..like a train avoiding traffic on its own line. If more countries adapted this type of system wouldnt have as much congestion. People get to destinations faster then getting stuck in traffic with the rest of commuting people.
The U.S. is slow(tarded) when it comes to public transit lines. If we had more train, trams, and hell guided bus lines, our infrastructure would be ALMOST top notch. I didn't even know this was a thing in the world until last week. That's how far behind America is.
This is only in Germany to my knowledge the rest of the world use trams
@@Rogue-6we use trams as well. This is a one-off thing in a city that also has trams. Don't really know why they did this.
Zwischendurch war es ein Hybridbus mit Oberleitung gewesen, der auch durch Straßenbahntunnel gefahren ist, dort mit elektrisch und der entgegen dem üblichen Türen auf beiden Seiten hatte
Didn’t know that Citaros can be fitted with guidewheels. None of the UK ones have guidewheels.
We do have like this in Adelaide
We need this in Nairobi CBD

Better than trams, because the buses can reach any point using regular bus routes and bus lanes. Buses can divert or go around obstacles when using the roads of course, trams can't. Less maintenance heavy infrastructure, less costly hardware. With all electric buses being used, this has got to be a no brainer.
I hope Philippines Adapt this...
The benefit is the vehicle is on a bus only road - why does it need to be guided? The road doesn’t appear to be too difficult to navigate
Oh its supposed to stop trafficfor buses and it is extra fast
Cleaner
Safer, steering taken from a driver like a tram, safer it a tyre blows out at speed. Private cars can't fit on the 'track'.
@@johnmills7716 you know trains and trams have tires two how do you think they grip the rails
@@Rogue-6 train wheels have no tyre. It's metal to metal wheel on track. That's why they have problems with leaves on the tracks.

In my city we have a O-Bahn Guess which city it is!
Adelaide
@@jamesburton5225 SURE YEP!
