Insanely historically inaccurate, uninspired-bad maps especially at launch, horrendous 'attrition system' with the gunplay and vehicles that now had an ammo cap, neutered teamwork with a revive animation and the ability to get ammo/med pouches by yourself, no more awesome pilot and tanker classes that also made it even more immersive (they couldn't even temporarily change the uniform in vehicle like BF3/BF4), complete absence of the French and Belgian Army, really dumb weapon customization/upgrade system, absolute baren wasteland for content for the first year of launch with quite a bit of recycled BF1 content in the form of map assets and weapons, battle royale that took away resources that nobody asked for, absolutely egregious "war stories," a weaker sound design than BF1, shitty ragdolls on account of the downed 'state'/animation, I could keep going. This game was literally the runner up to 2042, at least half the development team had never even worked on a BF game before and a LOT of the original work on the game by BF-Vets got scrapped earlier in development or else it would've been a completely different game altogether and much more like BF1.
After almost 4 years of warzone I came back to BFV, this is such a superior game that could have been a masterpiece, one of the all time greats if it had received all the content it was planned to get.
I love this video. It has so much variety and different Gameplay aspects. I really enjoyed the tank Gameplay, seing you get so many kills with the help of your teammate was satisfying
Yeah that’s a detail in BF5 is that your character will eventually count all the headshots you do or one shot kills I think it’s probably headshots and if you miss it restarts
I like sniping in bfv and certain things like to slow or fasten the fire rate of the BAR1918a2 which is a nice feature but over time the negatives of the game overwhelm me a lot
BF-V was what it was supposed to be by the time they stopped releasing new content. The PAcfic was great. You forget all the bugs (invisible soldier, etc). It's good in the state it is in, but not for the PRE-ORDER price of $100 in the very ALPHA state it released in. As such, I will NEVER Pre-ORder another EA game ever again .. and I didn't for BF2042 (I bought that for $9.99 and still haven't installed it).
People were too hard on it, but don't let that trick you into thinking it was all sunshine and rainbows. I was there with the community, people were still not happy by the end. The things like the constant ttk changes making certain guns useless and 1 or 2 borderline if not broken and the only viable options, the terribly long wait between the first and second maps, the poor player visibility that still persists today, the slow and clunky menus, the introduction of pricey cosmetics in an item shop after the game before had skins in rng lootboxes, but at least you could earn it all for free, and tbh most of the launch maps sucked. I really only liked Arras, Rotterdamn, and Devastation. This is all important for me to say cause at the time i was defending and coping for this game so hard during the reveal, beta, pre launch, launch and some time after that. I was EA's #1 unpaid meatshield. Now that time has passed it seems i've realized i was too nice to it and now everyone else realizes they were too harsh on it to balance out the equation
After years of playing this franchise exclusively since bf2 i've come to conclusion that the player base for this franchise are the absolute cry babies , with every new entry to the franchise there is the likes of t-bag and LvlCap and other cry babies whom will shit on it and encourage people to not play it because it isn't a reskin of the pervious title, i mean if you want to have reskind modern version of your game you can play CoD and shut up . Battlefield always changes the game play to suit the best gaming era (they arent always the best of changes, but still there is a devlopment to it) . Sorry for my errors, English is not my first language .
