    I have a lot of memories of Hawaii when I lived there.
    First.I remember my first house in Earheart in Hawaii. I remember starting my journey in a ranch house in that neighborhood. That is also the neighborhood where I started my journey with my dog Henry who sadly is not alive anymore. Then I moved to another neighborhood on the base and had a two story house. In my first neighborhood I had taken a trail to a private swing.I also was able to walk to school.
    I also remember in my second neighborhood Gemini I rode my bike with other kids in the court of my house. I remember in my second neighborhood in Hawaii I got hundreds of treat or treaters at my house. I also remember eating outside every thanksgiving and in my second neighborhood we would have potlucks with inflatable bounce castle or slide we did for thanksgiving and Christmas one year. I also remember having a valentines day party in my second neighborhood one year. I also remember my house in the second neighborhood was across the street from my friends Annika and Nadia house who lived in Apollo. I also remember one of my neighbors has his high school graduation party here in Hawaii this was in my second neighborhood. I also met a friend named Bethany and Gabby in my second neighborhood too. I also walked to the commissary and the BX change from my house. I also remeber my final night with Bethany and having dinner with her and I also got two hippo toys which I still have today. This was in my second neighborhood it was one of my final days of Hawaii. One my friend Gabby went over to my friends Bethany house and her dad did not know. I told him he was annoyed but he understood. I also remember spent the Superbowl one year with Annika and Nadia.
    I also remember going to Ala Mona mall and Ward center and Pearl ridge mall and Kahala mall and International marketplace and the wind ward mall once and Kahala Mall.
    Second. I remember going to the Ala mona mall.I would spend most of the time on the First and second floors of that mall. Some times I would also visit the third floor of that mall. Then I would save the fourth floor for occasions.I remember eating dinner at restaurants at the ala moana mall .One time I ate macaroni grill at the ala mona mall for a goodbye party for a family members co worker who was moving to Texas. I also had gone to build a bear in Hawaii and the Ala mona was where the one and only build a bear store was.
    Third. I also remember the ward warehouse and center. I remember eating the old spaghetti factory in the ward warehouse which does not exist anymore. I also remember Sedona a store in the ward center and the 2 story bookstore called Borders. I also went an Italian restaurant with my cousin when she visited me in Hawaii with her family.
    Fourth. I also remember Pearl ridge mall.There I would ride the monorail in the mall it so far is the only mall I know that has a monorail in it. It was 50 cents a way when I did it.The mall had two sides Uptown and Downtown. I remember going Uptown when I was seeing my Dentist at pearl ridge when I lived in Hawaii. I also remember going to the movies on the Downtown side of the mall. That was where I saw the movie Hotel for dogs. I also went to Farrell an ice cream place for my 11th birthday.
    Fifth. I remember Kahala mall because I went there for whole foods. I also remember walking around the mall once.
    Sixth. I remember my elementary school in Hawaii.I had some interesting field trips there. In 3rd grade I did the ice place which was an ice skating rink in Hawaii as well as the hawaii plantation village. I also in the 4th grade went to a Loi with wet mud and I also tried poi there and got an Ipu a hula drum which I still have to this day and the Iolani Palace and Bishop museum . In the 5th grade I did a program called starbase and I created my own rocket. In 6th grade I did a camping trip and I went to Oceans 808 celebrating my graduation from that school and graduation ceremony which yesterday marked 11 years since that event. I also remember doing the freedom walk for 9/11 at my school in Hawaii. I also remember eating outside for lunch at school with my family on their wedding anniversary one year. I also remember the fall festival at school.I remember we had Outback steakhouse and Jumba juice one year at the party and there bouncy and carnival games. One year there was an Elephant bounce castle and One year in an inflatable obstacle course. I also saw lion dances at my school. I also remember getting bike education before this I used to be afraid for riding bikes.
    Seventh. I remember I used to go the Hickam pool to swim as well as the Hickam beach and the beach at Bellows. I also remember one time at the pool I was only the one who was old enough to stay in the deep end by myself. I also remember one time I went with a girl named Jessica and her brothers. I also remember socializing with a girl at the pool one New years eve when I was off of school for Winter break.
    I also remember one time at the Hickam beach there was a girl who almost lost her beach toys but luckily I managed to get when I was boogie boarding and got returned to her. I also remember one time Bellows it was Raining when I went to the beach but I still had a good time.I also remeber every October near Halloween Bellows had an event called Boofest there I got to do some bouncy castles and a walk through haunted house.
    I also remember Magic Island and swimming there.I also remember at Magic Island I was bit by a bee. I also spend some time on the north shore beach. I also swam at the Hale koa pool one time I went swimming there with my cousin when she visited Hawaii and some other times. I also swam in the Hilton Lagoon and pools at the Hilton hotel when I was in my final days of Hawaii. Back then I could swim all year round. One of family members used to ride a bike to the beach.
    Eighth: I also remember walking around the base BX and BXTRA by myself and the Navy exchange in Hawaii. I remember one time in the Navy Exchange in the store the escalator was broken and I yelled sweet because back then I was afraid of Escalators. I also remember getting ice cream at the food court at the BX and walking to commissary from my house. I also remember playing at wooden playground at Hickam near my first neighborhood. One time at the wood park I saw a rainbow after it rained. I also still have a glass turtle from the navy exchange to this day.
    Ninth: I remember visiting the International marketplace and the Dole cannery with my grandparents when they came to visit me in Hawaii. The international marketplace at that time I did not like because one my family member took to long shopping and I was not a fan but now its a blessing to have go there to me. I also went to the Waikiki aquarium with my familly while I was in Hawaii and as well the Hawaii Polynesian center and there was also a Byodo-In Temple that I also went to with my family. I also remember visiting Kauai my family and Big island with my family and grandparents in fact I still have some toy whales and dolphins that I got in Kauai with my family.In the big island I remember the hilo zoo and I still have a stuffed tiger from there and the hawaii host and I saw how the macadamia nuts were made.
    Tenth:I remember I have a lot of memories with my friends Annicka and Nadia. I remember going to a park on base with them a couple of times. I also remember doing Boofest a Halloween event with them one year. There was a walk in haunted house and some bouncy castle one was a dolphin bouncy castle and slide and there was rat racer obstacle course and red and blue bouncy slide.I also remember going to the moves near the Dole cannery and saw Enchanted with them as well as Horton hears a who at Pearlridge with them.I also went to the hickam beach with them twice. I also hung out with them at the ala mona mall one time and went to Buca di Beppo at the ward center once with them and my family. That house in your video reminds of the same style house that they were in when I had to say goodbye to them for the final time. I also remember my friends mother Janell worked in the BXTRA. I also remeber sharing my 9th birthday celebration with my friends Annicka and Nadia and we celebrated at the wooden park and we ate dinner out and I remember we all had ice cream sundaes for dessert together at a restaurant. I remember one time when we went to the park together Janelle had dropped Liams sippy cup and he was not happy. I also remember one time after the park we went to their house my friends room was a complete mess. Also in their house they loved my little pony a lot when their were little then and had a lot of my little pony toys. I remember i would play play dough sometimes with them at my house when they came over. I also remember going to the park with them one time after an earthquake happened in Hawaii and power was out in my house most of the day. I also remember going bowling with them.
    Eleventh: I remember Chinatown.I remember going there every Chinese new year growing up with my family . I also saw lions dance here too. I also had Chinese food there too.
    Twelve:I remember North shore and getting shave ice when ever I went there and I would eat shave ice in the car. My favorite flavor was Rainbow combo but I also had root bear shaved ice there.
    Thirteenth: I also remember seeing Marley and me in the movies one Christmas eve eve.
    Fourteen:I remember tricking or treat once on a boat in Pearl Harbor for one Halloween and I also remember the pearl harbor memorial.
    Fifteenth:I also remember eating an Indian place in Waikiki. Cafe Maharani was the place I went to with my family. I also remember the hilton hotel and final days of Hawaii. I also remember the Honolulu airport too.
    All in All these are all the memories I have of Hawaii. Such good childhood days.

    @bets7177 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    We get there next month and we’re super excited… We have so much army family there so I’m excited about that but from all the videos I’m watching and just the houses that my friends have it seems like that’s older housing probably because you guys don’t have kids I’m guessing I’m not sure if you do or don’t but I noticed that there was carpet everywhere and all the other houses didn’t have carpet at all only upstairs in the bedrooms but for the most part they had hardwood floors or vinyl flooring

    • @NikkiMcCoy
      @NikkiMcCoy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bets just about all the housing here is older but this house is actually on the newer side. From all the floor plans I’ve seen, there’s usually always carpet lol. If you’ve seen anything with vinyl flooring those are probably houses specifically for those higher in rank.

    Hi I am PCs in Hawaii soon first for me we are stationed in hickham haven’t seen any good neighborhood or house what’s the name of this area ?? your home was nice husband is e7 no kids married this house is a condo? Came with washer? Do they use all bah? And how long did you have to be on list? How long did it take to get your stuff from storage?

    • @NikkiMcCoy
      @NikkiMcCoy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As an E7 you can probably get a much nicer house than this. It was dated, dirty and full of bugs. We’ve moved since then and I don’t recommend living on hickam. It did come with a washer and dryer which was also gross when we moved in. We stayed at a hotel for 1 night and they had something available for us immediately but everyone’s case is different. Since we moved during covid how stuff took about 2 months to arrive

Thank you I will tell my husband he is deployed and asked me to look and write down details so he can be put on list quickly we dont have our orders yet though so I am doing the best I can if any recommendations of places quiet and clean for us let me know!! @@mahreel6585 I would definitely look into navy housing, whether youre Air Force or not you can still live there, and Ford island as well. Try to do as much research as you can because we thought we were going to have so much help and we got nothing. Most military housing are town homes. You can even try living off base and renting from a local! Since no kids you won’t have to worry about school district. You definitely want to try and move somewhere that doesn’t take full BAH, you can save a lot of money here.
      Hope that helped! I know how it feels to be new and confused and overwhelmed. Wish you luck in your findings and new beginnings here in Hawaii 😊

      I haven’t seen anything other than roaches! And they’re really really bad here. Like can’t even go outside at night bad. I am NOT a bug person and I’m terrified of roaches, I would say that’s the worst part of living here
