Hey guys some of you were probably wondering where we've been since we havent uploaded in a while. Well we're working on something big. This is shaping up to be our biggest video yet and we're only about half way done.. But well Vycery made a nice run in the meantime for you guys, hope you like it!
Hey TDS could you do a quick build comparison between Frostcraft and Fatalis SnS? I find quality of life to be better on Fatalis but cant tell if the damage difference is significant enough. I'd be happy to send screenshots of the two builds specifically, but you guys seem to min/max better than most. The primary skills i use on both are crit boost, weak exp, crit eye, max might for 100% crit uptime. Obvi fatalis lands more crits but they are weaker. However claw sheathing frostcraft is downtime on dps.
"Biggest video"? Considering how big some of your other videos were (maximum damage numbers, looking at you), I can't imagine what could top them. Looking forward to it!
I ran evade extender once on Kirin... evaded extender dodges the perfect distance into his lightning lines. Normal evade woulda saved me. Never again on kirin lol.
Crazy how in souls games, fans hated having to level their roll distance and I frames (DS2 AGL stat). But in MonHun, most players completely ignore the Evade extender and window stat because it doesn’t increase damage. Based Hunters as always.
I think the difference here is the sense of investment. In Souls games, you invest things that go to other raw stats like direct damage and stuff. Here, you can hit max roll power in just a few decos and a charm.
@@FirelMusic I believe the issue stems from souls fans relying more on i frames than positioning. Because in MH, the skills are a huge investment for your build. But in MH, you’re expected to avoid the attacks’ locations as a whole.
I don't know about the rest of the playerbase, but as a gunlance, I've always ran evade extender 3 over protection and evasion window, it seems to be better for positioning, monster control, and overall uptime on the monster.
@@12markinlove12 IMO, as a GS, there’s less opportunity to roll out of a combo. (Even though Gunlance isn’t fast by any metric either). So I usually run defensive skills to trade with the monster occasionally.
@@SoeZ- it's weak to fire, and so does plenty of other monsters. The earlier I build up for it, the less time I have to spend later when hunting. I can just switch weapons as needed.
@@SoeZ- coral pukei pukei hits surprisingly hard as that's around when the defender armor starts to fall off for a lot of people and the tankiness of the defender set teaches new players a lot of bad habits imo. either way there's no shame in building something just for the fight, we all get better at games at different speeds.
I 'think' I've been saying this since like MH3U to my friends, "evade extender is all you need", but I always warned everyone... if you start playing with it, you better not take it off, because it's going to spoil you and ruin your dodge timing forever. (or at least until you get used to not having it)
@@gkkk2735more like light rolling vs heavy rolling.. the basic dodge in MH feels absolutely worthless and impossible to use after getting used to evade extender.
I truly love that skill. I remember building one just for AT Velkhana and Alatreon alone. Alatreon could barely hit me with the thunder or other Elemental attacks. And with max blight resistance I didn't have to worry about dragonblight. Though sadly Alatreon moves a lot and the hitbox around it is absurdly big, the dashes were the only thing that sometimes hit me
For a soul veterans, i remembered my friends said "How did you pulled of and learns the bosses patterns!?" To me its was ez and just a lot of practice. And then i dive into MH franchise, witnessing every pro player runs. Now i understand how they felt. How you guys pull it off. To me, the monsters' attacks are UNPREDICTABLE because its can be a tackle or a simple repositioning but sometimes it's a combine of tackle and repositioning i had to make use of flinch free😭😭😭😭
Any build without evade extender is incomplete. It just feels so much nicer, even with just 1 or 2 ranks of it. But this? This is nuts. Vycery just casually clowning on one of the most dangerous monsters in the game. Love it!
yeah I love this skill ever since I played monster hunter for the first time in world when it came out, I was like my dodges are too small and EE made it possible for me to fight the monster like I was a Monster since I can cover about the same distance just as fast as a monster positioning gets soo easy and huge attacks become normal ones non of this is explained you just feel the difference and I love it.
no set fatalis or velkana? almost naked and covered in a talisman for a single cape in an arena suicide arc? either it's genius juice that you drank out of ego, or you're crazy.....I like that 🤤😏.
Right after when I just got carted the 2nd time and failed the quest with this beast, getting caught over and over in its hooks. Thanks, I think I will go with evade extender next hunt.
Personally, I want ▪︎Speed Eating 3 ▪︎Stun Resistance 3 ▪︎Earplugs 5 ▪︎Blight Resistance 3 ▪︎Health Boost 3 ▪︎Evade Window 5 ▪︎Free Meal 1 In that order in all my sets, if I have more slots then I'd add ▪︎Crit Boosts ▪︎Weak Exploits ▪︎Crit Eyes ▪︎And Fortifys Though Fortify is always on in Grinding Lands and I mainly rely on longswords fade slash or foresight slash for dodging so don't use evade extender. If anyone runs similar skills, can you tell me what set you use? I rock ▪︎Rajang hat ▪︎Kirin/Namielle shirt ▪︎Acidic Glavenous/Teostra gloves ▪︎Beotodus panties and ▪︎Yian Garuga/Furious Rajang slippers
you shouldn't use earplugs, it's rare when wyverns roar and since you use LS you can profit off it by parrying. It's a good thing to get used to (when monsters will roar) since 99% of the time you'll be able to punish the monster so long as you dodge/parry the roar. The only time their roar becomes dangerous is when they enrage, which is the most predictable roar they can do (because of wallbangs). Try fitting coalescence if you're running blight resistance. If you are going to use it, DON'T go for blight resistance 3, 2 is more than enough, 3 would make it way harder to activate coalescence. Coalescence gives a ton of damage while being easy to activate. I was thinking about stun resistance, I feel like you should not run it if you use coral orchestra in your palico, coral orchestra is actually amazing. Other than that Idk, it's personal preference, or more so your matchup vs the wyvern, I mean, if you get stunned by Fatalis it's over. I relate to speed eating 3 so much, it was SOO hard to say goodbye to it, it's so good, IMO speed eating 3 is way better than recovery up 3. Like the guy above me said you should try mushroommancer, there's an expert/mushroommancer deco so you can easily run it. One I recommend is evade extender for LS, I can't play LS without evade extender anymore, it doesn't feel nearly as good, seriously, try it out.
If you run max evade window and you are also using longsword I don’t see why you would need max earplugs. You can either just roll through the roars or use foresight slash and get meter off of it.
@@strateks9611 Its quite common for wyverns to roar especially since I never let them not be agitated (the red icon). That roar parry is not worth it, I'm saying from experience, I have to be able to be in that position where my character isn't in any animation to be ready to parry and roar stun is longer than most monsters stop roaring attacking before I recover, I can confirm this 100%. Other than the initial start roar or when another monter comes or when I wallbang them, no other roar is worth it. The worst part is when I'm clutched to their body and they roar me off. Coalescence is not worth it, I'd rather not be constantly blighted even if it dissipates 10 seconds later because some monsters blight is worse than others and not worth extra dmg. I make mistakes and get thrown around a ton, and not being stunned for even a second is life saving. I'm dependent on minimal healing (mainly because I'm a hoarder and only bring 4 mega potions per hunt) and relying on Palicos green bubbles and crafted my playstyle around that and some monsters I can't fight fight stun res 3 at all, like AT Velkhana Mushroomancer has always been the confusing one, like what mushroom gives what again and more importantly, I'd feel like I'm wasting those shrooms (cuz I hoard) I like Evade Window because it lets me roll through roars and a looot of attacks that I know I'd have gotten hit otherwise, if I swap with extender I feel like I'd suffer but I'll try it out for a few hunts since you say its that good
As im playing through monster hunter im having a nice time. Overcoming hard monsters, actually being able to farm decos albeit low quality ones for now, and trying new weapons (about time). I never though i'd have this much fun with the SnS of all weapons. But watching bow gameplay it looks so... peaceful? Like its a casual kinda feel that i'd like to try out and not the "oh god oh fuck im going to DIE" vibe i get whenever i play. So i might try bow now, ty.
Man I main the bow and I just unlocked the Silver Rathalos armor set beta but without the Namielle legs and waist I'm having a hard time adapting. I got really spoiled by built in Constitution and Stamina Surge for months and months, but now I'm tempted to try an Evade Extender build because this looks so clean. Might try it out for a few runs and see how it fits with my style. I'm trying to get every achievement so I've got a long road ahead, so I've got the time and wiggle room to mess around with a lot of builds lol.
Ive been struggling with this mosnter so heckin much, and seeing this makes me feel inspired and depressed at the same time. I never liked using bows but I guess I'm gonna give it a try
how yall dealing 47 dmg with bows without any skills meanwhile there's me with crit eye max, ele atk max, velkhana set 2, bow charge plus and deal 18 dmg >_>
I just can't give up the guard up/shield HBG life. Esp with divine blessing, etc. Its so fun to just shotgun everything in the game down while laughing maniacally.
yooo extender gang finally, although you choose to showcase with a bow while knowing having excellent range control, showcasing with a db would show you do have an excellent range control
why does the music remind me of the ark accession music? O.O also really great job!!! i wish i could play like that but i be getting hit all over the place haha keep up the videos love your content.
And a weapon that allows you to roll realy often and cancel attacks instantly, like the bow! If you use a SAED spam charge blade your evade extender will be usless 95% of the hunt
For those that don't know your I-frames activate at the start of the roll. Takes some getting used to if you come from Souls games like I did, but it is doable.
See, this is why I know for a fact that ever asswoopin I take in MHW is a 100% skill issue. Except for fighting Rajang ofcourse, but he's basically countless years of developer fury brought into being.

Evade extender made Rise enjoyable for me. It really is all you need to make the game comfy and casual as hell.
Evade Extender and Evade Window were always the Easy Mode of the MonHun series since their inception.

Agreed, but Evade Window also helps a lot.
Having both as high as possible is maximum comfy/spastic gremlin mode. Makes Swaxe very fluid, too.
Evade window is really op for endgame monsters, temp. furious rajang for example pretty much your target bully once you equip 5 of that..
Base level rolling feels so awkward to me whenever I go back and play again not having my 2 or 3 points of Evade Extender in my build haha.

As someone who uses max level Evade Extender in Rise and pretty much values this one skill, I can totally agree.

My favourite skill in any monster hunter. I always prioritize it over anything else. I feel naked and vulnerable without it.

Most of us just hunt monsters. Some of us are out here creating dark souls bosses to fight!
I use 1 level of it for my lance build, because any higher and your backstep leaves you out of range for the next poke combo.
For this reason (and kawaii cat ears) Nargacuga armor is my favorite armor. Evasion bonuses goes brrr
Why try to an attack when you can stay completely out of it

i play mainly heavy bowgun and range extender is allways in the list. its one of the best abilities to run around with
