I haven't really done any meaningful tests. They seem to be variants of the HLG profile which already is sort of a log profile. More details in the black - C log. More details everywhere else - D log. I think I'll just stick to regular 10 bit HLG and will only select C or D log when I absolutely have to.
Thank you for the great comparison, I have the iPhone 15 pro max and black magic app installed but haven't been impressed and found the Cinema P3 and love the ability to zoom slow for cinematic filming unlike the jerky BM app. In addition, the cinemaP3 appears to be more well rounded because you can apply the app to pictures taking as well not just videos.
Interesting to hear that others don't prefer the BM app too. I like BM as a company and hoped for better results, but Cinema P3 works noticeably better imo.

I have the pro max 15 - on the native 24mm I underexpose by .7 and get amazing images at 709 - if u auto expose the highlights will blow out, but I agree I’m not completely sold on BM app
Cinema P3, C-Log and D-Log are good choices?
I have the 14 Pro Max and think the same about the oversharpening.
Thanks for your informative video!

So, what the best app between cinema p3 or blackmagic??
I thought that was very clear? Cinema P3 is more consistent and produces a better result overall imo.
@@OutdoorsMedia thanks for your answer. Btw, what the difference between Clog and Dlog?? What the best for colour grade?

Yes, I wanted the BM app to be good. But I consistently get better results with Cinema P3. Hope BM catches up.
Great comparison 💯🇹🇹
Thank you! 🤩
This app is so underrated.
Very interesting.
