Interesting subject. So you don’t recommend the 52mm clip for the iphone? I have a 13 pro and attach it to a phone clamp and handle when I shoot my videos. I thought the 52mm size would be ideal since the 13pro does not offer a lot of real estate at the back and especially with the clamp a bigger filter might not attach properly due to lack of space.
Hi! Since I've now got the 52 mm clip I will stick with it, together with the black mist filter. For that it's ok even if I need to remove the case. There is no vignetting. But in general it's good practise to use a slightly larger filter diameter when using variable ND filters to mitigate that cross effect that can occur in the extremes. There can also be some vignetting with other filters (I have another fixed filter that behaves badly).
