    I liked the way you fitted the frame to the engine rather than the other way around! Keep the uploads coming mate. Those cheap rotary tool bushes do an excellent job of cleaning up aluminium engines. On my XL500s I went through a lot of them and probably spent about 100hrs on it over numerous days. No paint required with the end result. It was a lot of effort but a labour of love. I'm still picking bits of wire from my clothes weeks later! I nickel plated all nuts, bolts, some brackets, the rear brake lever and foot pegs with a home made electroplating setup. Basically vinegar, a nickel plate, a large jar and old phone charger - the cost is miniscule but the results are hard wearing and look sharp. I look forward to your next stage.

      Yup, it’s a labour of love. Keeps me busy on my days off. Soon (14 months) I’ll be retired and I’ll have more time to work on rebuilds..
