This episode breaks my heart. Himeno sacrifices herself to protect Aki, but not only does she fail to stop the katana man, but Aki, also failing to stop him/it, has already used the Curse devil, throwing away most of his life 💔💔💔

The decisions you make if you KNOW that you only have, for example, 5 years to live are vastly different to those you might make if you think you might have another 20 years. It will affect your state of mind, how reckless you are, everything. It might not make any difference to the outcome (if you believe in fate), but it might.
Can't wait to see people's reaction to the next couple of episodes, it's going to fun that's for sure.

It happens to me the same way, when I read I just want to know what the hell is going on and then I think about what happened but when you see anime you feel it at the moment and more with the soundtrack and the voice actors it's just beautiful
finally someone who realized that Denji got shot in the head. I rotated like 10 reactors before this one and they all tell Denji to wake up or get up I'm like DID YOU JUST NOT SEE HE GOT SHOT IN THE HEAD?!?!?!?!

Most are taking into account that in previous chapters they literally tore him to pieces and smashed his neck. While that's technically less than brain damage, it looks a lot worse.

I loved Himeno! It hurt to see her go. I'll admit that I really love this anime but what you said at the beginning does make me wonder. I can do dark and violent but I've really been loving this series as it is (at its present level of darkness). Thank you for your commentary. Really enjoyed it!
Really liked the Makima train scene. The art in this series keeps jumping off the screen and grabbing me.
The ending song was performed by tk from ling tosite sigure. He did music for tokyo ghoul, psycho pass, pet, and spiderman into the spider verse

When we got to the scene with Makima on the train I knew it was THIS episode. I have to say that the anime made me fall in love with Himeno and be so much more devastated at her sacrifice than the manga ever did.

I feel like that since the Ghost couldn't get the job done, it should have given a refund and brought Himeno back.

The fact that TK's ending song is called first death confuses me.
Well, it has some meaning if you for it.Its Himeno and Makima's first death, its also the first death of important characters for the fans. It also is a parallel of Denji's first kiss.

I explained this before, but seeing it animated is still a very shocking experience! ALSO not even going to lie I read a lot of manga, so I forget and mix the order of things up :') I definitely didn't memorize it hahah

If I understand this correctly, age of consent only means that authorities may choose to ignore cases where *only* minors of that age or above are involved.
If children below age of consent are involved, the kid's parents will probably be punished for violation of obligatory supervision - at least that's how some European countries handle that.
