  • This was a bucket list event for me. An absolutely amazing ride. And the hardest ride I've done. Who said the prairies are flat!! 1300m climbing and 7km of hike a bike through heavy sticky mud.
What makes this route amazing is the people: the local residents embrace the event and the cyclists are made to feel so welcome. I had the fortune of spending five days with the team from Rocket Revolution Athletes. They ran a training camp and support for 20 riders.
Shout out thanks to Ben, Rocket and Johnny for their coaching support; and to Ali and Sydney for tremendous support at the checkpoint. Check out the RR Team for other event support and training: www.rocket-revolution.com

As tough as it was on you, you kept your cool and seemed to enjoy the ride and was so happy the whole way. I will always think about this video when things aren't going my way, for inspiration. Out of water, man I would not have been fun to be around, much less make a video, and you talked about the adjustments to make and the scenery. Great video 👍👍

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Tough one for sure. And that was definitely a less than happy moment. But all I could do was think about one pedal stroke at a time and go as best I could. Thanks!
