    Awesome video, I know the focus was chat GPT but your quick overview of the key points of a cover letter was where I found the most value. Definitely becoming a subscriber

    Great videos Raj, thank you so much! I wanted to use Chatgpt to improve my CV, but I may stop from what you have shown in the video haha

    I have had success when I cut and paste the full job description, the resume and cover I had already drafted and ask it to rewrite the resume and cover letter using my documents as a guide and written specifically for the job description I gave it.

    This was very interesting and thought provoking, especially as I am starting to explore using AI in Careers Advice and Guidance - thank you for sharing..........it does, however, raise the question (as with using AI effectively in general) about whether you could end up spending more time devising the detailed, specific prompt for Chat GPT, than it would have taken to write your own Cover Letter of a similar standard?!?

    • @rajsidhu
      @rajsidhu  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks @kategedling. I think that's a very important question. I feel there's a definite trade-off in time somewhere along the line: writing the perfect prompt Vs writing the perfect cover letter. In positive use-cases, its use solves the "blank page" problem and gives a starting point to edit from. I guess it depends on relative confidence with cover letter writing too? Cheers, Raj

    I'm newly employed in the HR department and with just few weeks of going through CVs i can tell what a chat GPT CV is. People use it a lot but unfortunately, most don't know how to

    • @rajsidhu

      Unfortunately it doesn't surprise me @banjomuhammed9202 - it's honestly a shame when applicants think their CV is good because it's AI generated. I hope you're seeing some good CVs in there too!
