Scott Carpenter was an astronaut and there is a school named after him in one of the western suburbs. Also, I grew up in OLD Thornton, it's its own story!

Lived there in 1979 and 1980 bares no resimulance to the Thornton of 1980. I believe the population was around 45,000 you better enjoy it in 40 years you won't recognize it ! It will go fast !

Hello Veronica thank you for your comment! Arras park really started developing after we had made this video and funny enough its a project a developer and I almost took on a few years back! Its in a great area with a light rail station just down the street, let us know if we can send you some detailed information on the project, have a fantastic day!
