    GS150R was such an excellent and practical bike. That kind of meter console is still missing in many modern bikes today. Seriously have no clue why this bike couldn't be a success.

    • @RoamerRealm

      Totally agree with you Nalin. There have been so many instances when I am asked (while waiting for signal to turn green at traffic signal) by other commuters, "which bike is this?" And I am always amazed how they don't have a clue about this name of this bike..

      Hi! My shortlist was unicorn and gs150r, unicorn was 7k cheaper (on road price) in Karnataka. So, price difference was not so big...also, my friend bought unicorn the same year. 5 years later, with almost same odometer reading, gs150r still looks better than unicorn...GS has a better build quality for all the controls and switches etc. This is just my observation...

    Hi brother, mine 2014 model ridden around 37k km, these days I am feeling lag of power in higher rpm. I can't reach rpm above 8k and top speed is reducing in 6th gear. Is this the indication of clutch plates change? If yes, apart from that what and all should I need to check before replacing?
    Much indeed your reply bhai...

    • @RoamerRealm
      @RoamerRealm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nagendra! I think we should start with sime basic small toubleshooting before starting to change big parts...
      The bike has not run a lot for it's age, so, i would say start by checking the following:
      1) check engine oil level - Loss of power may also be caused by an improper level of oil in the engine. Too high a level will lead to froth introducing air into the lubrication system and reducing the ability of the oil to lubricate the moving parts.
      2) When was the last time you changed the chain and sprocket set? Is the chain tightness ok?
      3) Clean the carburettor.
      4) Check the condition if the airfilter. When was it last changed?
      5) What's the condition if the spark plugs? when I it last changed?
      Let me know the answers and then we can fault find further. Do subscribe to my TH-cam channel 👍

      Hello there! You have made a great decision to buy this bike and that too 2nd hand, it's a great value for money motorcycle! 👍 The spare parts are very similar to Gixxer, but the parts for the body are slightly different. I would really appreciate if you can go to the nearest authorised suzuki service center and ask them about the spare parts. I think they will have it...and if don't, then you can ask them to order it depending on the job that you want to do... remember to pay them a small advance for the job, else they might not want to order the spare part for GS150R (as this bike is no longer in production). I love it's instrument cluster big and the best part is it shows in which gear we are in
    But iam having a doubt with the fuel indicator when the indicator shows only one stick for petrol in indicator i usually fill fuel of 600 Rs all 5 sticks are displayed inside the fuel indicator showing fuel is ful but in 120km and so they are back to one stick
    I service my bike in Authorized suzuki service centre
    So is my bike average less or is my fuel indicator not accurate

    • @RoamerRealm
      @RoamerRealm  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Maaz! Please tell me how many liters the bike used for how many kilometres? Don't go by the stick indication...each stick is almost 3 litres of fuel, so, to estimate the mileage based on stick is difficult. Try to add 2 litre fuel from bottle as soon as your bike hits reserve, and then check odometer reading the next time the bike hits reserve again and based on that you can calculate mileage. After that we can discuss further if there are any issues with the motorcycle. Let me know if you have any other questions and do SUBSCRIBE to my youtube channel 👍

    Bro my Self Stater Is Not Working...
    Wt to do

    • @RoamerRealm
      @RoamerRealm  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Abbas, there could several reasons that lead to the self starter not functioning as it should. To begin with:
      1) can you check if the battery is charged enough? If you have a multi-meter, it can be done at home by yourself. It can also be checked if you switch ON the lights or press the bike horn, if the lights turn ON and the horn is loud and clear, battery isn't dead and something else is the problem.
      I am not very experienced when it comes to electrical troubleshooting, but if battery is not the problem then it could be:
      2) The physical starter switch (maybe somehow the spring is broken OR something is wrong with the switch and it is not functioning as it should causing interruption in current flow)
      3) Solenoid = maybe the coil of the solenoid is burnt.
      4) Contactor = quite unlikely but maybe if the contactor malfunctions, then the starter motor will not turn and the bike won't start at all. If contactor is gone, then you're looking at a slightly higher cost of repair. I hope it's either just a discharged battery OR a burnt coil in your case.
      Either ways, I would say don't attempt to troubleshoot if you're not sure about something, take your bike to the service station OR a trusted mechanic and ask him to check. Most probably he would straight away say it's the contactor (to inflate the bill) but then ask him to troubleshoot step by step.
      Good luck and do update us here as to what was the problem once you know about it.
