Very witty and instructive piece of interview! Indeed, there is no better time than now, for our beloved Continent, Africa, to seriously consider the urgency of documenting and codifying all our oral African history, handed-down to us by our forebears and the surviving heroes and heroines of the African liberation struggle. The world, indeed, is not fair and charitable. So, therefore, the earlier Africa takes into account this reality, the better for her. Mindful of the fact that, nobody will ever develop the Continent for us, there is, hence, the utmost need for documentation of our rich African history, to serve as a guide and inspiration to the current generation and generations yet unborn, to take the destiny of Africa into their own hands, and forge ahead forcefully to make the Continent a better and prosperous place to live in. It is, thus, by so doing, that the proliferation of Western imperialism, can be thwarted from gaining a foothold on the Continent. The time to act is now or never!
It starts from the top, these such interview should be done by a zimbabwean media house, to show confidence in our own. Mugabe did the same with Dali Tambo now this one 😢. For the youth to be able seat down to hear stories of the liberation strugggle one's basic need have to be met. We dont deny the sacrifice and the struggle of the liberation struggle, they have failed to document and share, now the youth dont want to hear stories of 40 years ago.Youth are under pressure to bling becoz of the new era of social media.
