I just want consistent officiating, that follows the rules. No favoritism either, ever. I don't give a damn if you're the biggest money generating team or player the league's ever seen. I don't care if you're the literal GOAT, you get no favoritism. Just consistent, honest, direct officiating without any extra bullshit. Problem is the refs aren't even 100% on what needs to be called. The NFL and NBA don't treat reffing as a full-time jobs, just so they don't have to give out health insurance and 401ks. Imagine if instead referee was a 365/24/7 position where you were constantly in training and making sure you were up on what the rules and regs are in real time. Reffing in these leagues would be at whole different level.
@@RaKnows Is that so? I know the NBA pays them white collar salaries though. NBA Refs average upwards of 500K a year, with the base refs getting in the range of $100k a year. Mighty arrogant if they really just don't care enough about doing their jobs right. And as for the aspect of not knowing/agreeing on what should and shouldn't be called, that's due to personal bias/interpretation, peer influences, likely life things like insufficient rest leading to bad moods/lapses, and of course, rigging. Additionally, the NBA isn't very good with making their rules clear in the first place, which guarantees consistent inconsistencies.
I liked that we got an in depth technical explantation. Most post game interviews seem very shallow and formal, we don't learn any inside information like this
I’m going to point this out here: So far, no matter how good or bad the coach is, every single one of them that has given an interview about a ref and a bad call has been right That being said, every single one of those coaches have been fined and the refs have not had a single penny taken out of their paycheck. Insider or 60 Seconds has to interview Adam Silver about this specifically- Silver has been a great commissioner, but he needs to learn that it is not a good sign when the league is supporting its officials over its players and coaches when they are more competent than them
Adam Silver sucks gtfo, if anythjng I act liked the nba more under David stern, now it's soft asf and players just jack up 3s, no big men/ post moves, stupid in season tourney etc

Much respect to Mike for holding the refs accountable and respectfully calling them out like he did. Hes 100% right and even brought proof. If he gets fined for this post game conference, then the Nba officiating and commissioner need to be recycled. This is what happens to the integrity of these big leagues when alot of their sponsors are gambling sites and alot of their revenues come from gambling now especially with how all these leagues non stop promote it like gambling is a fun thing or past time. Let that sink in folks, one of the most devasting and horrible addictions is being promoted to everyone, especially our youth. Mark my words, 20 years ago everyone knows how the opioid epidemic started, 15 years from now it will be gambling and the effects and repercussions cuz of gambling that will take over
So what Darko was wrong because he was a little more brash and serious I'd prefer my coach let em have then dance around with a laptop shouldn't have to use one to point out the obvious that's what Darko was complaining about shouldn't need a replay center or to bring a fucking laptop out to prove their was bullshit calls
@mobynic I agree with u 1 million percent that Darko was 100% right and shoulda never ever been fined. That's how pathetic it's become that even when coaches like Darko who love n respect the game aren't even allowed to like raise their voices before the nba threatens punishment. I praised Mike cuz he was just so close to snapping that it took all his will power to just this once present the coaches argument or rightful complaint in a different way
We don't need to wait 15 years to discover gambling is a bad thing. You just need to hear stories from players of Casino, with is pretty much the same shit.
Never was a gambler. I would sit at the casino with my boys and not spend a dime. But since sports betting I catch myself betting sporadically, and it rarely goes well of course
Spectacular by Mike Brown. I love his candor. This is an excellent coach, and a smart man. The issue with the refs is clear and he highlighted them: 1. Consistency in calls across the leagues refs (different interpretations are problematic) 2. Admitting fault should not be such a horrible thing to where players and coaches get techs for calling refs on it.
This has got to hit nba where it hurts. Mike brown speaking up about this. Especially when mike brown was unanimously voted nba coach of the year last year.
@@darrengordon-hill So you think that the refs haven't done any mistakes this season? The problem is when a player or a coach speaks up against something they get fined will refs can do whatever they want with no consequenses. They will never get fined.

Steve Kerr needs to shut it with the you can't breathe on Steph Curry...and he flops and whines all game... some of these privileged teams EXPECT the referees to take over and give them the game, control the momentum etc... and when they don't get it you get incessant entitlement whining.

@@traceritlet’s be honest man. You play a game and hear the whistle called in your favor, you are not going to complain about it. I don’t think that’s being a hypocrite.
Coach Brown just did a masterclass in exposing the referees. Coaches should start copying this. Now, I have a brand new Mac book that came from friend driving a white van. Dirt cheap bruh.
That and Ben, who has been accused of betting on games, was officiating that night so the passion of Darko is understood. Mike was just talking about being consistent, not about a crooked ref.
I’m happy this is happening and support this type of energy. Refs need to be held accountable and we need to put more light on these refs. Especially now because the whole country is gambling and placing bets. There’s so many times when the referees look like they’ve got their own agenda almost as if they’re all betting on the games.
They were betting on games when it was illegal to do so. Now, not only is it legal, the league itself is sponsored by sports betting sites. If they couldn't control themselves when it was against the rules, how do you think they'll behave when it's being expressly encouraged by the league itself?
@@jakehr3 True great point! Not to mention, several NFL players have been caught and suspended or cut cause they were betting on their own games, even betting on themselves using legal sports books. And to your point, FanDuel, Bet MGM and DraftKings commercials are littered all over every major sport in America these days. It’s blatantly in our face these days!
I didn't really pay too much attention to him when he was on the warriors coaching staff, but ever since I saw that viral video of him snapping at malik monk during practice, I've been a fan of him ever since. They gone definitely fine his ass but I'm glad he stood up for his players 💯🙌
This why i stopped watching the mavs vs peils game yesterday due to this reason giving the widest calls ever. Kyrie got fouled so many times in that game they end up triple teaming but with nurkic they was giving everything knowing he was pushing players off for the rebound never call and the travels was ridiculous.
1:34 thats the key point. All of a sudden these "bad calls" are 5-7-10 point swings bc players play to ref and take advantage and capitalize on the momentum.
Great explanation from Brown. I am glad he used some actual footages to explain his position. Raptors had a 23 vs 2 free throws a week ago? So 19 vs 5 isn't too bad.. but frustrating I get it. Dame, Gianais, and other superstars get 50/50 calls all the time..
@@brandoonf6962post game no, but the on the floor aggression may push this one up. Also, they may want to send a msg with the dollar amount vs. addressing the problem.
Everything here is analytical. He is being honest about their good communication, veing human and inconsistencies in applying verticality rules. He shouldnt get fined.
Mike Brown has the exact same complaints I do about some of the calls. I don't mind if they're calling ticky-tack fouls, as long as they call the whole game that way for both sides. I don't mind if they "let 'em play", either, so long as the calls are consistent. But there are too many times when one team gets ticky-tack calls on one end and the other team gets mugged for no call. The refs aren't doing it on purpose, but it's frustrating to watch. I'm glad Brown brought the tape so he could explain exactly what he was thinking and why he was mad. I also like that, even though he's clearly frustrated, he's not calling out these specific refs _(the is a league problem, not a specific ref problem)_ or getting angry about it. I'm guessing he still gets a huge fine, though.
They do it on purpose. You don't think the NBA, the NFL, the MLB could fix all these problems with their officiating? We live in a world where we have cameras the size of pin heads that record in HD! The NBA, NFL, MLB could EASILY correct their officiating problems if they wanted to! But they don't! They know the officiating is trash, and they allow the officiating to be trash, because it allows them to consistently fix/script their leagues! Every single "SPORT" is being manipulated in order to generate more revenue. You think the NFL would allow the Lions and the Dolphins in the Super Bowl? FUCK NO! You think the NBA would be fine with the Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers? FUCK NO! Even if those 4 teams I mentioned were the BEST in their respective sports.. they would NEVER ALLOW teams from those places to battle it out for a Championship! Do yourself a favor.. take a solid couple hours out of your life and just look into "NBA fixing games/scripted" "NFL fixing games/scripted". You'll find so much evidence out there you won't even be mad the next time your favorite team loses a big game. Go watch that 49ers v Chiefs Superbowl back when Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid won their first Superbowl! Go watch how the 49ers made Patrick Mahomes look like a bitch for 3 straight quarters until out of no where the officiating crew allowed the KC Chiefs offensive line to hold Nick Bosa and the 49ers defensive line on EVERY SINGLE PASSING PLAY that allowed Patrick Mahomes time to find Tyreek Hill and Kelce wide open! In the first 3 quarters Patrick Mahomes was being chased all over the field running for his life! Suddenly in the 4th quarter he had enough time in the pocket to make a sandwich, do the dishes, and take the trash out! There's so much proof out there that these leagues are fixed but for whatever reason people are fucking zombies that refuse to believe it or even look into it for themselves!

Most post game interviews seem very shallow and formal, we don't learn any inside information like this
I’m going to point this out here:
So far, no matter how good or bad the coach is, every single one of them that has given an interview about a ref and a bad call has been right
That being said, every single one of those coaches have been fined and the refs have not had a single penny taken out of their paycheck. Insider or 60 Seconds has to interview Adam Silver about this specifically- Silver has been a great commissioner, but he needs to learn that it is not a good sign when the league is supporting its officials over its players and coaches when they are more competent than them
Refs performance dictate their earning potential. They get graded
Graded by other refs. It's a corrupt system@@WorldConflictsTV
Adam Silver at his finest! 😅
NBA refs lose assignments based on performance. Do your research before you spout your ignorant garbage.
Adam Silver sucks gtfo, if anythjng I act liked the nba more under David stern, now it's soft asf and players just jack up 3s, no big men/ post moves, stupid in season tourney etc
Great to see a coach talking this stuff through with the fans.
The only way to fix this is to have an ai make these calls with humans being able to overrule it, but we are too far away from that.
Ai couldnt get it good enough in my opinion but i could be wrong

These refs crazy 💀
That still doesnt excuse Mike's behavior
@@godsufr people acting like he didn’t do insane
@godsu Nah it totally does. As a youth coach this kinda shit gets old. It's really easy to get pissed at refs
@@BlanexBlz No it doesnt, and good job setting an example in front of your players. If youre gonna run up to a guys face like that you better fucking swing
@@godsu Mate. If the team doesn’t preform to standards, for whatever reason. The coach will get fired. Then your getting fuck out of games, he absolutely had a reason to act that way.
Thank you Coach Brown for relying to us the madness you're dealing with. The public wants to hear these coaches speak up on the inconsistencies the refs are allowing to plague this great game.
I like the way he explains with calmness, not a rant. Hope more coaches would not afraid to speak up
Coach speeches this year are going crazy
and all the speeches are going off about the refs 😭🙏
It’s been alot of weird calls since the season started
They are giving calls for Adam Silver Stars and teams. Great that more coaches are speaking.
That just shows how stupid the refs are
broo actually pulled a laptop like hes presenting his project to the whole class 💀💀
Mark my words, 20 years ago everyone knows how the opioid epidemic started, 15 years from now it will be gambling and the effects and repercussions cuz of gambling that will take over
100% It's no coincidence officiating has gotten so bad now that these gambling companies have their hands in everything
He saw how Darko handled it from the Raptors and decided to play it safe. 🤣
Spectacular by Mike Brown. I love his candor. This is an excellent coach, and a smart man. The issue with the refs is clear and he highlighted them:
1. Consistency in calls across the leagues refs (different interpretations are problematic)
2. Admitting fault should not be such a horrible thing to where players and coaches get techs for calling refs on it.
This has got to hit nba where it hurts. Mike brown speaking up about this. Especially when mike brown was unanimously voted nba coach of the year last year.
Love this. Mike brown and the raptors coach outing the bs for small market teams. The locker room will love this. Owner pay the well earned fine
THEY WERE PLAYING MILWAUKEE!!!!!
Yall love victimhood too much!!!!
@@darrengordon-hill So you think that the refs haven't done any mistakes this season? The problem is when a player or a coach speaks up against something they get fined will refs can do whatever they want with no consequenses. They will never get fined.
Toronto isn't a small market team. Their jerseys are among the most popular in the league and they have fans all over the U.S. and internationally.
@@Flashback_Jack sure
@@Flashback_Jackyou are right BUT their ratings do not count in the states so they are treated like a small market team because of this unfortunately

Shout out to the camera man for zooming in and out that was dope letting the camera person to have fun during these post game interviews lol
Hawks fan here but I really wish we had a guy like mike brown coaching them..bro gonna get the best out his players regardless
Shout out to Mike Brown, Steve Kerr, and all of the other coaches and players calling out the inconsistencies with game officiating. Hopefully he does not get fined for this.
Steve Kerr needs to shut it with the you can't breathe on Steph Curry...and he flops and whines all game... some of these privileged teams
EXPECT the referees to take over and give them the game, control the momentum etc... and when they don't get it you get incessant entitlement whining.
@christopherlammons8448 Interesting, Steph is not even in top 25 free throw attempts. Wonder what gives you the impression he is shooting alot, he falls after shots on purpose to avoid ankle injuries but that is well known...
And coach Darko bro. How can you forget Darko's epic rant.
Kerr is a hypocrite though, dude needs to retire
@@traceritlet’s be honest man. You play a game and hear the whistle called in your favor, you are not going to complain about it. I don’t think that’s being a hypocrite.
Aye this is type gangsta. My guy brought footage to the post game interview like he's talking to his team😂😂😂
Darko came with fire , mike comin with receipts . Love it
This is wildly informative while also being wildly hilarious lol he’s so sincere that it’s funny 😂😂😂😂
Coach Brown just did a masterclass in exposing the referees. Coaches should start copying this. Now, I have a brand new Mac book that came from friend driving a white van. Dirt cheap bruh.
This is the type of coach that will get always be for your team, respect mike brown!
Us Mike Browns got to stick together 💪💪
respect to him for this. Darko's rant was entertaining but this was more informative. They'd better not fine him for this
Even though it was a passionate rant, Darko hit the nail on the head with what he said.
That and Ben, who has been accused of betting on games, was officiating that night so the passion of Darko is understood. Mike was just talking about being consistent, not about a crooked ref.
mike brown unleased his inner " PAT BEV" 😂😂😂
Respect how Mike Brown explains it so clearly and reasonably even though everyone understands it makes him frustrated as hell.
Mike Brown is a legend for this

Glad he exposed these refs so clearly and with great evidence. Shit has to end cuz this is unacceptable

It won’t. FanDuel and draftkings have skin in the game.
It’s not a coincidence that you see their commercials on nba games
If they spoke up 20 yrs ago Tom Donaghy would have been exposed. These coaches now realize the refs and Vegas controls the games.
Every coach in the league needs to be doing this. They need to fight through the fines to make the league better by speaking up.
The compilation of this (coaches calling out refs post game) at the end of the season is going to be amazing

Maybe, but at least one more guy speaks about Silver idiocy.

I’m happy this is happening and support this type of energy. Refs need to be held accountable and we need to put more light on these refs. Especially now because the whole country is gambling and placing bets. There’s so many times when the referees look like they’ve got their own agenda almost as if they’re all betting on the games.
They are lol
You like men emotionally ranting??
You don't think were held accountable? How do you think you would do if you were an Official and what do you think you would be graded out at?
Mike clearly did everything he could to politely share his mind and not get fined and he still got fined $5000
I didn't really pay too much attention to him when he was on the warriors coaching staff, but ever since I saw that viral video of him snapping at malik monk during practice, I've been a fan of him ever since. They gone definitely fine his ass but I'm glad he stood up for his players 💯🙌
glad coach and players are pushing back
they aint doing ish. they are whining.
This why i stopped watching the mavs vs peils game yesterday due to this reason giving the widest calls ever. Kyrie got fouled so many times in that game they end up triple teaming but with nurkic they was giving everything knowing he was pushing players off for the rebound never call and the travels was ridiculous.
The no calls on kyrie have been INSANE since he joined the mavs
This is what you like to hear from a coach 👏 He's a professional
Is good to be humble and kind
My mans straight up yanks out a laptop at the postgame interview... Classic!!!
1:34 thats the key point. All of a sudden these "bad calls" are 5-7-10 point swings bc players play to ref and take advantage and capitalize on the momentum.
Dude brought receipts 😂
He should be used to this coaching the kings been like this for decades
Amazing diplomacy
Great explanation from Brown.
I am glad he used some actual footages to explain his position.
Raptors had a 23 vs 2 free throws a week ago? So 19 vs 5 isn't too bad.. but frustrating I get it.
Dame, Gianais, and other superstars get 50/50 calls all the time..
Free throws ended 32 - 20 Milwukee.
19-5 is fing awful.
NBA darling Lakers need extra help from the officials how dismal their performance has been lately.

Everything here is analytical. He is being honest about their good communication, veing human and inconsistencies in applying verticality rules. He shouldnt get fined.
Big applause to these coaches who stand up for their players when refs try to influence the game by making inconsistent calls.
His language was incredible for dodging that fine
I like that these coaches are finally talking about poor refereeing, but that's how it is in a society where sports betting is normalized!
Bro was gonna get fined anyways he said let me get my money’s worth
Yes!!!!! I'm so glad these coaches are finally speaking more in these bad and missed calls!!!!
Man I can clearly see coach Brown is pissed off but still trying to stay calm down, props to coach
Refs gotta be better man.. the biggest problem with sports is the refs not being consistent and there not being clear rules
The rules are purposely interpretation so the nba can rig it
They do it on purpose. You don't think the NBA, the NFL, the MLB could fix all these problems with their officiating?
We live in a world where we have cameras the size of pin heads that record in HD! The NBA, NFL, MLB could EASILY
correct their officiating problems if they wanted to! But they don't! They know the officiating is trash, and they allow
the officiating to be trash, because it allows them to consistently fix/script their leagues! Every single "SPORT" is
being manipulated in order to generate more revenue. You think the NFL would allow the Lions and the Dolphins in
the Super Bowl? FUCK NO! You think the NBA would be fine with the Sacramento Kings vs. Cleveland Cavaliers?
FUCK NO! Even if those 4 teams I mentioned were the BEST in their respective sports.. they would NEVER ALLOW
teams from those places to battle it out for a Championship! Do yourself a favor.. take a solid couple hours out of
your life and just look into "NBA fixing games/scripted" "NFL fixing games/scripted". You'll find so much evidence
out there you won't even be mad the next time your favorite team loses a big game. Go watch that 49ers v Chiefs
Superbowl back when Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid won their first Superbowl! Go watch how the 49ers made
Patrick Mahomes look like a bitch for 3 straight quarters until out of no where the officiating crew allowed the KC
Chiefs offensive line to hold Nick Bosa and the 49ers defensive line on EVERY SINGLE PASSING PLAY that allowed
Patrick Mahomes time to find Tyreek Hill and Kelce wide open! In the first 3 quarters Patrick Mahomes was being
chased all over the field running for his life! Suddenly in the 4th quarter he had enough time in the pocket to make
a sandwich, do the dishes, and take the trash out! There's so much proof out there that these leagues are fixed but
for whatever reason people are fucking zombies that refuse to believe it or even look into it for themselves!
If refs do better job bookies makes no money no money for league u see the shady shit 😂😂

I’ve been watching the NBA since 1979. I generally give the refs a lot of slack - they are human and just like anyone make mistakes, especially in such difficult and high pressure environments. This year I have seen a change. The refereeing has been at its lowest standard I have ever seen by quite some margin. Unless something changes I just can’t continue to watch, it gets me too frustrated and life is too short for that. Please fix this NBA, for all the hard working players and staff as well as my mental health.
Well said. I don’t watch anymore cause the refs made it unbearable
