    Inspired by the House Atreides and the movie Dune 2021 I release yet another video, A light but deep ambient journey with four songs mixed together to create a seamless and cinematic story of high quality. You will also hear sounds of very distant river waterfalls, birds and gentle ocean waves with light rain. The feel is quite mystical and ancient to the tone and probably goes very well as reading music for the books or any fantasy/sci fi novel......IMPORTANT: TH-cam will push my content more when you LIKE 👍, COMMENT ✏️ and SUBSCRIBE 🔔. As somebody who's still pretty new to Dune that started with the 2021 film and then went back to read the books, I always thought it was interesting whenever Castle Caladan was referenced by name, seeing as nobody really got to see much of the Atreides true home in the film beyond the interiors, where I'd always been intrigued on what it would actually look like. Now? This music + these visuals make me want nothing less than an actual legit castle standing proud on the mountainside. Why wouldn't you want a damn castle if home really is/was that beautiful to justify it? Either way, AHHH this one was awesome. I've mainly been a listener to the desert pieces and the Giedi Prime one, but I knew I was saving a good one for the end. Your efforts are 2nd to none! _\\m//

    I would really love to read how things had been going in Caladan before House Atreides moved in to Arrakis. How Duke Leto Atreides and Lady Jessica met, how they build their family, how they fell in love with each other are described slightly in the books. I would love to read the characters' development throughout the years in Caladan. It is pretty unfortunate that Frank Herbert passed before he completed the series

    Another superb work. I can subtly hear the ocean waves upon the shore beneath the castle or at the docks. Did miss a terror sequence when the super charged monsters of the sea would attack a fishing boat and result in great loss of life and laments upon the shore.
    Your work is grand. Looking for your sound wave for shi-halud. Maybe one on Maud dib, the mouse of the rocky places where the seichs hide.
    One request. Birds are the bestest thing on any world. Their sounds are characteristic so if you could include your interpretation of birdly sounds that would be simply wonderful!
    Thank you so much for having a wonderful heart and sharing.
    Almost forgot. A spice trance sound wave would be great as it is the essence of everything Dune. You could take the sounds anywhere!

    Another awesome edition...just a thought/suggestion: I really like the triangle in most of your videos and notice that the more recent releases don't have it. It could be cool to have a series of videos like these where the triangle isn't bright, front and center, but rather than eliminating it altogether, try to cleverly incorporate it into the environment. Like in this case it could be a muted triangle symbol embedded in the castle wall, or in the desert themed videos it could be subtly drawn into the sand. Just a thought, I think it could be really cool to keep the theme tied in almost like an ancient or alien symbol leaving its mark on the environment in the presence of the soundscape.

    For your background, you should use dark colors in the back to contrast the light colors in the front. For the mountain backdrop shader, use an opacity brush on your color mask for the ridges to gain depth. To integrate the castle layer in the landscape, use an additionnal layer with a faded dark brush to add shadows for the walls. Remember, where there is light there should be more details, whereas in the fringes of vision, you can be more blurry. This adds even more depth. Cheers for the mix!

    I like this better than Hans Zimmer's take (Hans is for Brian Herbert's universe, this is for Frank's) but the entire time I was listening I was lost in visions of Carthage, civilized yet savage, masters of a thousand distant islands of civilization among a sea of barbarians, and sacrificing children to impotent gods. The serenity of the sea meets the doom of chaos kinda thing

    Interesting - not many people pay attention to the Atreides' life before they moved to Arrakis. Anyone know if either Frank or Brian Herbert planned on any stories in the earlier timeline?

    Brilliant! Can you do one for Gammu?

    • @spacewavecr
      @spacewavecr  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      the last one is that. Giedi prime is Gammu. But I guess it's different reigns and settings. So yes I could :)

      @@spacewavecr yeah true but the theme of Giedi Prime and Gammu is vastly different, I would think Gammu would sound closer to Caladan than it sounds to Giedi Prime. I imagine Gammu sounding more mystical and a fairytale-like, woods or even jungle
