Walking The Grand Union Canal. Day 4. Knowle to Gas Street Basin, Birmingham.

After three days amidst mostly rural countryside I finally ventured into the heart of England's 2nd city. As the start of the video shows I was a bit battered and bruised, but this proved to be a memorable conclusion to an odyssey that began back in 2021.
Three adventures. Nine days. an average of 15.22 miles completed per day as I covered the whole 137 miles of the canal.
It was a walk through history, and seeing the impact that this canal has had on local communities and the industrial growth of this nation has proven both powerful and poignant.
I'm forever grateful that I have had the opportunity to undertake each of these journeys. And I'm equally gratified that some of you have chosen to join me by watching these videos.
