It's the imperfections that make MW2019 reloads so gorgeous. Like a real human does it. Sometimes they won't put the first bullet in the belt in the exact spot first time, sometimes the M4 mag won't slide into the magwell 100% perfect, truly some of the best animations in video games ever.
If you’ve ever done anything firearms related in real life, they look really bad. The unrealistic flick that the player does when putting the firearms back out of the workspace (at 4:02), when going back to presenting the firearm as well as the general speed of reloads are way off, even if it’s for balance reasons. 3:38 - 3:48 For anyone confused as to why the soldier using the Bodeo 1889 is pulling the trigger and _not_ firing off each round in the cylinder, the Bodeo (and certain other revolvers of the period) incorporates a hammer disconnect that, when the loading gate is opened and the hammer is at half-cock, allows the cylinder to be advanced by one chamber with each trigger pull. It's a genuinely fascinating solution to the problem of reloading a revolver that either doesn't break open, akin to the Webley or top-break Smith and Wesson revolvers, or doesn't have a cylinder that swings out.
Sound design plays a major part in the animations. Without it the feeling of weight to each action would be missing. Don't sleep on the sound designers, they deserve just as much praise as the animators
Gentlemen, the sound is indeed a main ingredient of the feeling of satisfaction, but the weight of of a weapon depends mostly on the animation. The inertia, the movement of a heavy object is what gives it the feeling of weight. Try watching the video with no sound. 4:09 showcases pistols that are, based on what we see, dummy lightweight.

G3 and AK47 Marksman here! The sound is way off both first and second part. G3 sound much more metallic and louder. It almost sounds like a metal clap especially when closing it.
Its probably because of the weight of the gun and ammo. That stuff is heavy. The 240B itself weighs nearly 30lbs without the ammo. A full box of 7.62 NATO (.308 Win) weighs about 6lbs on its own. The guy has to lug all that around in each hand and the game semi-faithfully represents that.

There are two kinds of reload animations in the gaming industry: Calmly reloading a weapon And aggressively reloading a weapon And both are beautiful to watch
we actually went to a private collector to get our hands on the sjögren inertial. it was so incredibly smooth to reload. sat in the freezing winter all day with an array of mics just to get the sound right.
Love the MG43 From MW. The fumbling with the drum and the adjustments to the belt are created with the human imperfection I always look for in animations. A perfect animation lacks the element of you being a soldier and instead feels like you're a robot
One thing that bothers me about Insurgency's reloads is that the LMG's are so incredibly slow, not just length, but the way the operator reloads his gun, in BF1 and V, some of the LMG reloads are actually very long almost as long as Insurgency's LMG reloads, yet they still feel fast because the sense of urgency of the character and the way he aggressively loads his gun. It fits because you're usually getting shot at and the adrenaline gets to your head, in Insurgency it just feels like your operator reloads his LMG in a shooting range and not in a combat scenario.
I fucking hate the insurgency reloads, I dont care how satisfying they are. The guy moves so slow, even when doing things that dont need to be slow. I dont get how you can be slow in the middle of a firefight
@@aw3046 I'd imagine it's training. If you panic and try to load your weapon quickly, you might make a mistake. Slow and steady beats fast and reckless. Not to mention, the mag drop reloads in Insurgancy are quite faster than the regular ones.
@@Teito762 it's a good take, but it's not plausible. There's a saying that goes: slow is smooth, smooth is fast. In short, it means that practicing weapons training, any equipment usage, slowly in your time at the range will accumulate into muscle memory. Thus, when you gotta do it fast, you'll do it fast, cause it's ingrained in your mind and muscle from your practice.
In Insurgency: Sandstorm is it just me or do the relaxed reload animations give the game a little bit more of a psycho feel, instead of the rushed animations its calm and precise, like they've been in war a long time, its cool to think about.
I like the fact you are halfway with reloading when you change out in Urban Chaos Riot Response and Days Gone, instead of having to deal with the entire animation.
older guns from ww1 and ww2 are more satisfying because each of them has more unique features since it was the time when engineers are trying to do experiments on guns to see which is more modern
Hate to break it to you, but it’s 100% incorrect. In fact, no far cry game reloads a Spas 12 correctly. In the next animation, you see that button on the left side just above the receiver? You need to be pushing down on it while inserting new shells otherwise the receiver won’t budge. So sorry, your favorite is invalid.
@@JonatasAdoM yes except better because you had to add them yourself and the community actually made cool designs and you didn't have to throw away your life's savings at valve for them :D
I love the Johnson rifle in BFV, really wish we could've got the LMG as well..... Instead we got 2042 Also there's viewmodel FoV mods for Far Cry so you can actually see a lot more of the guns.
High Quality videos like these are RARE ... i'm Definitely Liking this video for the sake of YT Algorithm ! Extra addition : -CS:GO >>> SG 553 Reload Animation
I like seeing Insurgency's reloads best because they are the hands of someone human...shakey, imperfect, slow and unsure. Like someone who is in battle, sure but also someone who is scared as hell and is just trying to get their gun reloaded correctly. They look less like a mechanical, well oiled machine of some super soldier like any CoD game or even Battlefield, and look more like imperfect but still trained people methodically doing a reload without keeping the weapon perfectly straight or even being quick about it. They feel REAL.
@@hanszecrusader379 imo MW19’s reloads are near unrealistically fast, like they’ve trained everyday to reload their weapon as fast as possible during a firefight. Where as Insurgency: sandstorm’s reloads are more plausible from a average person being thrust into a war zone who doesn’t have much experience with a weapon yet and doesn’t want to screw it up, so they reload slower than usual as a result.
They feel like they are purposefully taking as long as possible. It’s feels dumb to watch because you’re in combat, stop acting like there’s a bunch of people watching you to figure out how to reload it, you’re fighting, just do it as fast as you can without fucking up
Strange to see no Escape From Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown Reloads. And FYI some Crysis 2 & 3 reload animations were really good too. The animations varied with different suit modes. And check out the PKP reload in BF2042 too.

What gun is that? Ive seen it before.
we actually went to a private collector to get our hands on the sjögren inertial. it was so incredibly smooth to reload. sat in the freezing winter all day with an array of mics just to get the sound right.

1:32 very nice!
Its kinda goofy ngl 😂😂
It’s been 2 years that I watch this every morning
Love the MG43 From MW. The fumbling with the drum and the adjustments to the belt are created with the human imperfection I always look for in animations. A perfect animation lacks the element of you being a soldier and instead feels like you're a robot
mg-43? you mean mg-34
!!WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MG 34
@@aw3046
I'd imagine it's training. If you panic and try to load your weapon quickly, you might make a mistake. Slow and steady beats fast and reckless.
Not to mention, the mag drop reloads in Insurgancy are quite faster than the regular ones.
@@aw3046 That’s how it works idiot, try reloading like in COD and you quickly see how things actually work IRL.
@@NPC_GENERIC_ENEMY_INFANTRY In emergency medicine, we’ve always taken it to mean, “better to take it slow than to fuck it all up and kill someone.”
These calming sounds are what you hear just before all hell breaks loose.
I appreciate the honorable mention for the 1.6 dualies at the end. Very based.
What’s even more satisfying is the length of the video
That first one is absolutely terrifying. Imagine hearing that bolt rack in the middle of the night when you break into a house
While not in the heat of battle, I can say I now appreciate these animations.
@Amaria Jade lmao I think he means that they're pretty long so it's frustrating in game
In Insurgency: Sandstorm is it just me or do the relaxed reload animations give the game a little bit more of a psycho feel, instead of the rushed animations its calm and precise, like they've been in war a long time, its cool to think about.
You can reload faster by double-tapping reload button, but you will discard old magazine by doing.
I like the fact you are halfway with reloading when you change out in Urban Chaos Riot Response and Days Gone, instead of having to deal with the entire animation.
No because it feels like it has no urgency to it, if i’m in a gunfight I don’t want to watch my character reload for an hour and a half
I think it needs a little more of the camera shake found in MW2019 and it will be perfection. Without the shake, it looks so lifeless and/or soulless.
@@charlie1234500 no please, the constant camera shake is painful and makes me sick.
The sound of charging the M1917 MG on BF1 is most of what makes it's reload so satisfying
There something nipple hardening about a well animated, sounding and timed reload.
older guns from ww1 and ww2 are more satisfying because each of them has more unique features since it was the time when engineers are trying to do experiments on guns to see which is more modern
As an American I find this very relaxing to sleep to
3:09 i love that reload
Same
Hate to break it to you, but it’s 100% incorrect. In fact, no far cry game reloads a Spas 12 correctly.
In the next animation, you see that button on the left side just above the receiver? You need to be pushing down on it while inserting new shells otherwise the receiver won’t budge.
So sorry, your favorite is invalid.

As a firearms enthusiast, this is geaven and eye candy. I could watch this for days and not get bored.
No Battlefield 1 Peacekeeper? That gun is the holy grail of cool animations
BF1's Mosin Nagant has a pretty cool reload animation too

yeah
I swear im not weird, this video makes me happy
But nothing beats the sound at 4:11 though, the sound of childhood. :)
The LMG 08/18 is my favorite reload in all of Battlefield, followed closely by the MAS 44 in BFV with the detachable magazine upgrade
Yeesss, the MAS 44 is great. Even without taking the reload into consideration, it's a great rifle to use, no doubt
I think the martini henry should of been here due to the sound when ejecting the spent round it pings and then inserts another round
This truly is satisfying
Battlefield 1 animations i find we’re so satisfying to me, same goes with some weapons in Battlefield 5
1:05
greatest machine gun reload animation of all time
I actuallyhave that
1:35 This one's like, "You know what, just gonna put few more in there."
I love the Johnson rifle in BFV, really wish we could've got the LMG as well.....
Instead we got 2042
Also there's viewmodel FoV mods for Far Cry so you can actually see a lot more of the guns.
i wish they kept updating bfv over 2042
@@elicpsescorter5590 That's true, they could've added the Eastern Front along with Italy, could've make the game far more interesting.
Its the most satisfying!
1:21 the 1917 MG sounds like a bicycle bell 🚲🛎️
It does, I wonder if there is brass or something that makes that sound
That’s my new bicycle bell now
It was the kid on a bike trying to get the attention of the soldier reloading his gun while pointing it straight up
Sometimes, I think reloading guns is more satisfying than firing them.
Well this is some ASMR that I would like to loop all day
Love the 1.6 addition at the end ❤️
Game design is a very beautiful but much harder thing then people realize, MW19 guns & sounds really show what time, effort & passion can give
And what sucks is that we'll never see that again.
it's always good to hear reloading sounds of a gun reloading.
I have to say, Vik. You Did A Very good Job! You made me Satisfied

2:15 Mmm. That’s a nice sound.
I am SO GLAD cyberpunk made it to the list, they got some of the best gun reload animations ever (well not exactly 'ever' but you know what I mean)
Yea that's one of the good things about the game.
@@VIK7ORIO subscribed! whens part 2 coming?
I don't know why but the Insurgency: Sandstorm reloads are more calmer than the reloads from other games
They dont they reload there weapon like a demonstration, if you want reloads that are actually feel real look at the MW reloads
It’s feels dumb to watch because you’re in combat, stop acting like there’s a bunch of people watching you to figure out how to reload it, you’re fighting, just do it as fast as you can without fucking up
The games realistic but it's not good
Me when the boys are hungry but there's only one slice of pizza left
M1 Garand is the GOAT of ASMR Guns reload in my opinion, the ping sound was just
Strange to see no Escape From Tarkov or Hunt: Showdown Reloads.
And FYI some Crysis 2 & 3 reload animations were really good too. The animations varied with different suit modes.
And check out the PKP reload in BF2042 too.
maybe because Tarkov animation is.... slow?
@@pops7249 Insurgency has slower reloads too and it's featured here. Fast reloads ≠ good reloads
@@TacticalBaguette Agree, but the quck mag dump reloads in tarkov are more satisfying imo than the normal mag retention onees
