Hey Dan! If you're open to unsolicited advice, my suggestion would be to stick with the small line where you have to be more precise before you move up to the intermediate line. Learn those skills on the small stuff before moving up. Here's why - in the video, you are clearing those jumps with speed and speed alone. You're actually extending early and then with that body extension, absorbing the jumps. That's a potential recipe to get bucked. Slow down, and clear those little tables with technique rather than speed. Find your arc and those short landings won't be an issue. Your ramp will be tremendous for progression. All the best.
Awesome feedback and insights as usual! I think I need to work on a few of those things myself. Thank you so much for all the support and comments over the past year. Sage
I've taken my dj to mountain creek. Rode all dominion, salvation, hit all the wood features.. down crap Chute. I sessioned lower dominion. It was a blast. Even after that I struggle with my local bmx dirt jumps... also the smaller bike parks I always find the bigger jumps to be easier. When the lips is smaller then the bikes wheel base, they become more technical to jump
Ok, so I'm not crazy for wanting to bring my DJ to Skyline, lol. I just got some aggressive 26 in tires to help with grip so I'm hoping to try that soon. Thank you for the feedback Steve. Sage
That's so cool Steve!! Legit jump trails at Creek!! Was it more fun on the DJ or the MTB? Was it harder on the DJ? Appreciate you listening and commenting as always! - Dan
Awesome seeing some of those trails out west, they look pretty gnarly. Technical climbs are still my weakest skill, along with slow tech crawls. Going slow is harder than going fast!
You're a natural and intuitive rider! I'm sure you'd be awesome at the slow tech if you focus on it. But do whatever is most fun! (and if you visit the SW and want to session some climbs, that'd be dope!) - Dan
lol!!! It's an acquired taste for sure. But you never know Dennis, we are not the riders we think we are ;) Thanks for the support and feedback as always. Sage
Better than making you butler! (Seinfeld reference :) Hilarious comment though! But there is a joy in going UP technical trails that I actually think you'd enjoy! Anything is possible! Appreciate the comment as always! - Dan

Thanks, Josh!! Awesome feedback and advice!! I'm going to keep working on this. Per your jumping videos, "Be a small jump hero." Appreciate you! - Dan

@TheRideAbides yes and no. The jumps were fun. The wood features were a blast. The breaking bumps, not so much
I always love the park jump content. I dont do much of that riding but am starting to do more
Love to hear that Erin. Progression is the name of the game. Let's get it! Sage
Thanks Erin!! Jumping is KINDA addictive! LOL! Appreciate you as always! - Dan
Also i have 3 1/2 inch risers on my dj.. and I love those bars on the smaller bike
Thank you for the insight Steve! Sage
I trust you and Brian! Just installed 89mm rise handlebars on the DJ! - Dan

I don't know Zane, I've been on a few rides with you and you are pretty awesome on the tech. Sage

@TheRideAbides yeah definitely gotta focus more on them. Recently it's been all air time, all the time😂
Check out Dakotah Norton from any of his UCI DH World Cup runs this year. Those are some high bars
Yes!!! Great call Mark! Sage
Oh yeah! And I saw his DJ on Instagram.... very high handlebars there too! #BrianKnows (Or maybe, "What Would Brian Do?") LOL! Thanks Mark!! - Dan
Sessioning climbs sounds like what a judge would make me do if I didn’t have enough money to play my speeding ticket lol
