Hamilton is a very unique and interesting place. I have to check out some of those shops when they are open. The day of filming was a holiday of course.
Born and raised in hamilton ohio here... so many memories as a kid and seeing new things is good but it's also sad at the same time. Good catches buddy 👌 look forward to seeing more from you. You gained another subscriber 🙌
Thanks for the sub! Appreciate it. Yes, Hamilton is changing and is becoming quite the hip area for young professionals and families with all the restaurants and entertainment venues. Cheers!
I was born in this town.. and lived there until 2003.. when I lived in Hamilton it was a poor area.. I lived on the Knob off See.. and then, Lindenwald, off laurel. It wasn’t the best area then… seeing this video.. it is unrecognizable… I use to know Hamilton like the back of my hand… I’m in awe… I’m so glad my hometown has grown in a good way!
It's changed quite a bit since this video too. I'll do an update when it warms up outside one of these days! Owning a motorbike in Ohio isn't the best idea. LOL I can only ride less than half the year cause I hate cold. Oh well, stay tuned!
Taft HS class of 76. Grew up in Hamilton. In those days the big industries were collapsing... Champion Paper, Mosler Safe, ARMCO, etc... Blue collar jobs were being impacted all around. The city was doing okay, but I would not call it great. I think it being the county seat helped economically. Went in the service and did not move back. From 76 on the city looked pretty much the same (nothing to shout about) until here lately. Looking back I would have never imagined it could have become so much better looking. Lots of those buildings along Main Street on the west side were just a bunch of old wore out buildings back then. Seems to have a heavy art focus. Hope they keep it all going. I live in the south now and I am not a fan of cold snowy weather so I will be staying put.
Thanks for the comment! Yep, Hamilton is becoming a young professional's paradise to be honest. Small city, lots of entertainment venues, and close to major highways and larger cities. We've lived right down the road for 30 years and have seen the transformation. Now we don't have to leave the area to enjoy company with friends as there's so much to do now. If we could only bring warm weather to Hamilton all year round that would be nice!

Great video, Hamilton is really changing for the better. Middletown is trying hard to update downtown as well. -Brad
Are they? cool. I haven't combed the Middletown area much yet, but that's an idea!
