I just picked up a 2002 DRZ400s for a light ADV bike. I will keep my T7 for longer distance riding but I'm planning to trailer my DRZ to the start of any BDR I do out west in 2025.
Greetings, As always another brilliant detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Would you provide me with the link to purchase the moto dash bracket and the lithium battery. Thank you so much for assisting me and keep producing more videos about the drz
Appreciate the feedback! I bought the motodash off drzrider.com but it seems that the website is no longer up. It looks like they have another website motodashinc.com but that doesn't seem to be working either. Not sure if he isn't making them anymore or not.
I like the way your bike is set up. That dash kit and display looks like something I may do. I'm probably going to buy a Seat Concepts seat soon. The windshield looks good. How well does it deflect wind? I have a Clarke 3.9 gallon gas tank on mine and like that option better than the Rotopak. It doesn't change the look of the bike much and it's plastic. It doesn't dent and it's lighter.
Appreciate it. The windscreen does a good job, it depends where you position it. I think I’m going to end up doing the Clarke tank as well. The rotopax doesn’t kill me though.
@@smallish_mk3733 I haven’t. I keep going back and forth on it as well. I like the rotopax but I’m thinking it might be nice to not have to worry about it and just have the larger tank.
@roadslesstraveled23 I wish I could ride one with a larger tank before spending the money. Being 5"6 and 150lbs, it's already a "big" top heavy bike for me, so I don't want to. Add to that problem for every day riding.
@@smallish_mk3733 I've been running an IMS 3.2 gallon tank since 2006. I wouldn't be without it, but it makes the bike heavier when the tank is full. I'm 5'9" and about 155.
Nice drz, I actually like the stock display a lot more than the vapor. It is amazing Suzuki hasn't updated it ten years ago. That's what's maks the drz imo
@@eriksforestryvision8751 Yea, there’s really nothing wrong with the stock display, I think the vapor and motodash just cleans up the dash nicely. It’s also nice to have the rpm sensor and the extras the vapor offers, definitely not necessary though.
PRO TIP from a long time DRZ owner.... throw the K&N Filter in the garbage. They are no good for a motorcycle that sees a lot of riding in the dirt. Go back to a foam filter. I run Twin Air, Tusk or No Toil filters. A K&N will allow dirt to pass through it. What's the contraption on the left side of the bike, forward of the engine? It looks to have a vacuum line on it.
@@DualSportDoug I always thought K&N was the way to go but a lot of people are telling me otherwise. I’m going to switch it out for a good foam one. Apparently that thing is for emissions. From what I looked up it’s called the pair valve or pair system. It lets fresh air in to burn off any excess gas.
@ My DRZ doesn’t have that. I’ve never seen that in other DRZs. Take a K&N filter out of the box at a store and hold it up to the light. You can probably see through the filter media. Every time I’ve done this “light test”, I could see through the filter.
Awesome build! Thanks for sharing, will be revisiting this as I upgrade mine.
@@christopherjay7018 appreciate it! If you have any questions let me know.

The Rotopak would be nice when I ride on a longer trip with my friends. They don’t have to fuel up as often with their Africa Twins and Transalps.
Did you swap the stock speakers?
I've been debating between going to a larger tank or using the 1 gallon tail mounted tank. Have you ever used the larger aftermarket tanks?

The DRZ has been around since 2000. (24 years)
