Life is risky…enjoy the day! 3 weeks ago I was doing my normal daily 20 mile bike ride and had a massive heart attack and now have a pacemaker…I’m only 51 and retired military in great shape. You just never know! Each day is precious…enjoy them!
I am so glad to hear that you made it through that! That had to be incredibly scary. I totally hear you and fully agree. We have today - embrace it without regrets. -J
@mocheeks709 You may want to do a bit more research on heart attacks and then hop in here and modify your comment..... I suggest starting on google with "Can you be healthy and fit and have a heart attack"
My Sister, who is 54, was just diagnosed with aggressive muscle invasive bladder cancer last week. She has been told she will spend the next 3 months in chemo, and will need her bladder removed and a neobladder constructed, a massive surgery. We are praying for a long, healthy life for her. She wanted to go to Alaska to visit our brand new great nephew. She wants to go to the northeast during the fall foliage, and to the ocean with friends. Her summer plans are canceled so she can hopefully have vacations and explorations next year and beyond. I just want more time with her. Time has never ticked louder for us than this. I pray you have a blessed, long and joyful life exploring together. Thank you for sharing your life with us, and this very important message.
Thank you for sharing this story with us. Would you mind sending me a quick email to rvopenroading@gmail.com ? I have a quick question for you that is better asked via email than here in the comments section. (Nothing invasive or spectacular - just something simple) -J
You can do the same thing in the United States, and not have to risk bandits on the roadside or cartels stealing your RV and killing you just because. Research, crash, statistics in Mexico, particularly the area you think you want to travel to. You will change your mind. Travel to the United States. It is a huge, incredibly beautiful country.
We've been traveling the US for quite some time. While you are 100% correct that crime does happen in Mexico (and is certainly more prevelant in some areas than others) there are sections of the US that I would never consider parking the RV in for the same reasons you site.@@tominmtnvw -J
MacGyver! I mean Joseph, we are amazed at how you just figure stuff out and fix on the fly. Good for you for “doing this now”! So important! we were set to leave and rv fulltime end of 2021, literally right before leaving my husband was dx with Stage 3 Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma! He completed treatment in 2022 and achieved remission PRAISE GOD, we left as soon as we got the all clear from the Dr! We are approaching our one year nomadiversary! So yea we never know, whatever it is don’t wait! ❤️ safe travels you guys ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing this and I was so so so so glad when I read that he is in remission. We have heard story after story that is identical...minus the remission and taking the journey. 😥 If you ever see that we're in the same area as you please don't hesitate to reach out. Would love to spend some time with you both. -J P.S. Being MacGyver comes with some drawbacks...After a while you end up with an RV held together by hair-pins and duct-tape. 😂 -J
That little village relies on the tourist coming across the river. It’s very remotely located in that for most immigrants it’s too far out of the way. My daughter and a coworker were there a year ago and while talking to the villagers they really don’t tolerate anything that would jeopardize their livelihood. Her coworker is fluent in Spanish, so that really helped when they were there.
As a certified welder, 35 year automotive technician, and retired college teacher in automotive technology, I must say I am impressed with your ability to diagnose and design a repair for the slide, considering the boundaries of your circumstances.
I appreciate that. I think I got that passed down to me from my grandfather who always believed you could fix something with what you had on hand. It's a helpful ability...but it also leads you to sometimes not getting things properly fixed. 😂 (Slide still has the temp fix in it - now at least 2 months later because, hey...it's working...not need to fix it. LOL). Hopefully I didn't just remove all your respect. 🙂 -J
Retired 3 years ago at 52. Best thing we ever did. Camped for free in South Eastern Montana. National Park. Great Video, good luck with the slide, Thank you for sharing. The ear flip on Trinity was cute but we tell our giri dogs, when that happens, only trasky girl dogs flip their ears. She will try to tell you it's trendy but don't believe her.
😂 I had no idea what the bad dog trends are!! I will be sure to keep an eye on her! She did just go through heat so maybe she was trying to attract the "bad boy" dogs.... 😂 -J
Had a sanity preserving staycation this week. Discovered your channel and binged watched. You are now my favorite channel! Love your great attitudes and chemistry. BTW I think you are now dog people❤🐕
Wife and I went to South Dakota with an rv. At the time my truck was a singles cab dodge ram pulling a 29 ft rv. On the way home we drove across Nebraska with severe cross winds. Drove55 mph white knuckling the wheel the whole way.
I can't imagine going off road in big trailer rig, your brave... We use to plant tree's in the Rocky Mtns. every Spring. In a huge school bus, with a VW van on top. We came so close many times going off the old logging roads, and high elevation cliffs. I'd make the kids get out of the bus, and walk, my husband was determined alone...
We didn't get a chance to go over to Mexico when we visited but looks like a lot of fun. I love the fact that you guys "took" the boat. We really appreciate that you guys share your costs with us, give an honest look at what this lifestyle can cost. What a great spot there at the lake and always great to catch up with Craig and Victoria. PS Joesph is the new McGuyver with that fix of the slide. Impressive. Safe Travels you guys
I'm thinking your Mexico experiences that you've shared in your videos are farrrr more "authentic mexico" than this little excursion. 😂 But yes...the "boat ride" over was hilarious to me. I'm totally cool with being Mcguyver but my I just hope I don't end up with nearly the amount of explosions... -J
We love going along for the ride with you guys! Doing most of my own home and car repairs, I can definitely sympathize with all of the work you have to do to keep the RV functioning! 😀😀
You got it! We were so fortunate to become friends in 2022 when we were both boondocking in the same area in Arizona. Since then we try to meet up whenever we can! More to come on that this year!! -J
Congrats on crossing over the 20K subscriber mark! Well deserved, 50k or bust is next! Do you feel you have enough content to send out more videos closer together. This episode was excellent!
Love you guys, but stick with weekly stuff. We don't want you burning out from the stress of overdoing it. It takes a LOT to produce a video each week. Just keep rocking what you're doing.
I so appreciate that you're getting so much joy out of our content. We will occasionally post a bonus episode (like the motorcycle carrier one) but I don't believe we will ever have the bandwidth to produce more than 1 per week regularly. Each video takes a minimum of 20 hours to edit (not including the planning and shooting time). This last video presented me with a lot of story telling issues in the editing process and pushed the edit time up to close to 40 hours. For us to push out multiple videos per week we would need to hire a team for post production which... totally not in the budget right now. 😂 -J
@paulab984 Thanks so much. Yeah, burn out is a very real thing for video creators. With income tied to every new video unless you're earning thousands per video taking a week off can be stressful. But pushing out multiple videos per week with this amount of post production would wear us down in a hurrrrry. -J
I was sure this was going to be a black tank dumping comment but the left turn it took there was a good one! I like that idea! I went through sooooo much water (which plays a role in our next video actually. 😂) -J
@@OpenRoading Scary as with the people. Its very beautiful country and roads. Its like West Virginia hollers. There is a road 6 from Johnson crossing to Ross river..Awesome rd we spent 3 days camping on it Boone docking and only seen 1 care go by. We spent 37 years in Alaska and have traveled most of it and Yukon. Live in Mexico now but do miss it
BHAHA! Nothing like a stick of butter in your morning smoothie. 😂 It was a slightly overripe, frozen banana. (There is chocolate protein powder in the smoothie though...Somehow we've gotten away with having chocolate for breakfast for somewhere around 7 years.) -J
I love your adventures and the way you share them with us. You have showed me many things that I didn't know. Makes me want to travel, travel and travel. Have a great weekend. 🥰
24:00 Eufy makes a good motion sensing camera that works on local wifi with local storage without a monitoring service. They also include infrared so it can see in the dark.
Eufy Solo built in battery and solar panel (Wall Light or L40) with built in light works with built in AI and can be set to human only. Can be set to work like a light sensor when you get near it or not. Works will for our RV. With StarLink you also have an alarm system that will notify you on an iPhone etc. Setting can be any thing too if you want to use it to capture animals.
Welders are Very Good with metals and fabrication... some can create new parts. Different welding applications, metals and welding machines and other equipment. Just like a good mechanic.
For sure! Just finding the right person who is willing to spend the time doing something custom like that without breaking the bank is tough because skill is valuable! -J
Yall are in my neck of the woods. I'm In Timberon, 30 miles south of Cloudcroft. If it was warmer, I'd try to get you to come up for a dual sport motorcycle ride, but it snowed most of today. There are tons of places to camp up here, lots of elk and deer. Just lows are still in the 20s and 30s.
Ohhh that would have been fun. I need desperately to put new tires on the bike before I do anything serious though. These are way past due so I’ve been seriously limiting my riding sadly! We’re always a bit behind here on the videos as far as location is concerned. If you are on IG we are much more “real time” on there! -J
So glad to see you stayed at "Lake" Holloman! We stayed there during spring break last year and loved it. The sunsets were spectacular and those Air Force jets were awesome! Fortunately we have a much smaller travel trailer so that crazy entrance didn't bother us but boy does it look tough for those of you with bigger trailers!! In addition to White Sands we also did the New Mexico Museum of Space History and the tour at PistachioLand (in case you missed all their signs on the drive there. lol!)
We drove by PistachioLand (this may be weird...but neither of us eat them so we skipped it 😂) but we may have to hit up the space museum next time! So little time with all the repairs going on. -J
Hello. I am so happy to see you guys with Craig & Victoria. Ya both are my favs!! Boondocking.. I need to get comfortable with that. One day... Thanks for sharing. Safe travels.
I think the biggest thing with boondocking for me was getting used to no AC. (We just chase the climate that feels comfortable.) but with newer, less power hungry, ac units coming down the pike I think we may be able to use AC in 2-3 years which would be spectacular. -J
Wow. I am so impressed you were able to configure a fix for the slide. That is way cool. We love that you share your adventures. It’s neet to see you are friend’s with wild about RVing. We had planned on retiring, which we are and hitting the road. Family circumstances have grounded us. We are not sure if we will be able to get out now. Keep the adventures coming.
Looked like you guys had a great time in Boquillas. They have raised the price of riding the horses, was $10 each. The food was amazing and the gift shop had a nice selection of items. Keep up the good work on the Videos 😊
I’m so sorry for your incredible loss. Moments like that are huge turning points for so many of us. We didn’t lose a family member watching other people work their whole lives only to have their retirement dream go up in smoke was a huge catalyst for us. -J
One thing I've learned (and this has been pretty recent actually) is to do research on specific areas rather than judging an entire place by what you see on TV. If someone just looked at crime rates in US cities they may consider the US to be one of the most dangerous places on earth but in reality - we know that every locality is different. Boquillas is very very safe. Like "zero instances of violent crime" safe. I could name a lot of places in the US that I would feel less safe than there. Tijuana? Nope... not going there. -J
I was wondering if you were going to be with Craig and Victoria when I seen that narrow entrance i was pretty sure i was right love their channel also. Another great video 👍. ❣️❣️ For Cody and Trinity
Haha! Yep! They got there first and saved a spot for us. I couldn't help but chuckle at how similar our experiences were shot going through the gate. 😂 -J
YOU CAN USE THE REARVIEW MIRROR! Look for a wireless rearview camera, that transmits to a clip on rearview mirror. It slips over your rearview mirror, and has a rear display in it. Just needs power at both ends, no complicated wiring. Or you csn get a wireless rearview camera that just comes with a 4" monitor to put on your dash. Again, just needs power.
We will do BW/HH if we are wanting a 2-3 night stay (but still short term). For the 1 night we will go to Walmart for a couple of reasons: First, we've found that for 1 night stopovers if we can just pull in and out of a parking lot that keeps us moving quicker and we get more rest. One of the fun things with BW/HH is getting to know the hosts and we would feel rude just pulling in, and then out the next morning with hardly as much as a "Hello! Goodbye!" Because we wanted to get as much sleep as possible. More specifically to HH, we aren't wine drinkers so the whole "Go in and buy a bottle of wine to say thank you" doesn't work for us at a lot of the wineries. 🤣 The second one is....I love shopping with the RV in the parking lot. So being able to combine the sleep-over stop with the shopping stop is such an incredible time saver WHEN we can make it happen. -J
haha! I get it. This town survives on tourism though. One incident where a tourist is a victim of a major crime and their towns economy would literally crash. -J
White Sands is awesome and yes it's easier to navigate the gate from the other direction. We got our 40' Class A in there and I was panicked! Great video! Big Bend is awesome too! ~Lynette
YIKES! That is a big rig to squeeze through that turn! It didn't really show in the video but I was more concerned about dropping the front left tire off that cattle grate and messing up my motorcycle carrier as I was trying to give the back enough room to clear the pole (that's why I was hanging out my door like a fool. LOL) -J
@@OpenRoading That makes sense about the motorcycle carrier. We didn't go too far in, it was kinda rough in 2019 the further back you got. Can't wait til next weeks. ~Lynette
Where we’re at in the RGV in Texas, winter Texans cross the border to Progresso daily with no issues. They really cater to tourists out there. I’ve heard of very few incidents. There’s a nice big bridge though. No dinghy’s and horses unfortunately lol. And speaking of Tamales, if you ever see a Delia’s in Texas, they’re delicious and cheap.
@@ernestinebyrne9912 There's a lot of danger in the world - but having worked in news for 8 years I know that not everything you see on TV is as it seems. It doesn't mean dangerous people don't exist (they do) and it doesn't mean that there aren't problems (there are) but sometimes they are presented as more sensational and more apt to affect the average citizen than they actually are. 🙂 That said...I won't be traveling deep into mainland Mexico anytime soon. -J
Not yet! We hope to cross it off next winter. There is also Channel Islands off the coast of California that you can only access by boat. That one is BEAUTIFUL if you ever get the chance to go! -K
These were new to me as well. They are passports that get you through Canada and Mexico (and possibly a few other countries?). They are quite a bit cheaper and we don't see ourselves going beyond those two countries for a couple years at least so we went with them instead of the books. -J
Like anything...if it moves it can break. If you get an RV with a slide just make sure you do your research on the brand. Some slide brands are better than others. This RV is 19 years old so...stuff is gonna break. -J
This wasn’t what I expected at all. It’s usually people crossing in their vans. I was glad to see the dogs looked healthy and fed. I can’t wait to go to Mexico. I’ve been to countries in Europe and Africa, but never Mexico or Canada. I’m surprised your rig doesn’t have a rear camera in place of the rear view mirror. We’ve mastered the roadside fire drill, too. LOL How do you work under vehicles like that without getting tons and tons of dust and stuff in your eyes? In a video earlier, another TH-camr said he used Mint Mobile for unlimited data. I have no idea how coverage is in different areas, though. Trusting my gut in sketchy areas is one of my big fears. My gut doesn’t work well at all. I am afraid everything will feel sketchy just because I’m afraid.
First - I just love that you left your comment this way. I'll sometimes do this with other channels as well. 😁 Most of the dogs seemed to be well fed but I also think they were all kind of "community dogs" which made me a little sad. I don't think all of them had "homes" When you go to Mexico I think you should probably do something like Baha. I don't think this gave a true mexico feel to it as much as it did "tourist trap." Our rig is a 2005 so....bells and whistles are few. 😂 As to dust in the eyes....I get dust in my eyes. 😂 Hmmm.. I assume Mint Mobile works off of either ATT, or the Tmobile network. We've been super happy with Tmobile but we just end up in some pretty remote places so the starlink has become a must for us. I'm gonna say - having a healthy fear is better than having zero fear. You can work the fear levels down a notch but if you go into crazy sketch areas and just have no fear that could lead to becoming a headline which is never good. -J
@@OpenRoading That I left the comments so disjointed? LOL Welcome to my brain. :) I usually leave multiple comments because I “think” that earns you more (?j but I am cranky with a cold, so lazy today. Hope the slider fix was easy and is permanent!
@@ChrisW228 NO! That you left them all in one comment. Although I guess maybe youtube may like "MORE" comments I like the single "stream of consciousness as I watch your video" comment because that's exactly what I do on other channels. 😂 -J
We were at Boquillas the week before you. Ate at the same restaurant. I had bbq goat taco and my wife the chicken tamale. (Bbq does not mean it has any bbq sauce ). We split the meals. I thought the goat was amazing. We did not know about the checkin point. I saw that building and went right by it. Fortunately we did not get busted and disappear into a Mexican Jail. Keep up with the great videos.
LOL about the gate! We never would have met if ya'll had ended up in prison! We only knew about it I think because the border guy told us in that quick 30 second rundown. We were wondering what would happen if we didn't have the bracelet. I guess you answered it. 😂 -J
Your wife is a patient woman, my husband would not run our tank that low....he knows I panic at 1/4 tank. Hi Trinity, Rusty knows a great doggy attorney that can help work out more screen time and compensation!😂😂 Safe travels!
"Your wife is a patient woman" so...so much patience. Like...I don't know how she does it. To be fair - we did NOT run out of fuel. I stopped before that to put the spare in. And I'm NOT showing this to Trinity!! We will still have taxes to pay at the end of the year! 😂 -J
LOL! RIGHT?! I'm not sure exactly what it was but there was no smell...so I'm thining it was post treated water? That's what I'm telling myself. I honestly would have had no idea if they didn't have signs everywhere. -J
Pretty simple ones - if it's going to be hot enough out where we don't think open windows and fans will keep everything cool enough, we don't leave her. We've traveled for 5 years across the country with rabbits and never had an issue as of yet! 🙂 -J
I highly advise you to get that slide professionally fixed before you go to Alaska. That drive from Burwash Landing to Tok is going to bounce your trailer around a whole lot!!
Unfortunately, professionally fixed would mean installing a brand new slide mechanism. They don't make this style anymore. This style (two solid square tubes plus support) is more solid than many of the newer systems. I'm quite confident that my fix will do quite well, and if it doesn't...I'll fix it again. 😁 Bumpy roads aren't new for us - we'll always take everything slow. -J
Nah! I think they raised their prices on everything. Some say they went up because of Covid, but they figured folks would pay regardless. It was definitely an experience, even the second time going across and I’d go again. ❤
Im from Switzerland so I don’t know really but it looks like dogs aren’t allowed in many places and also aren’t allowed of leashes in the middle of nowhere?
There are many parks and trails in the US where dogs aren't allowed - but there are many where they are as well. Maybe a 50/50 split? As to leashes it's generally a common courtesy in the US to keep your dog on a leash if you are around other people and animals. Some places it's required. Personally I think it's a good courtesy - Kalyn was attacked by an off leash dog in a remote area a while back so I'm not a big fan of dogs running free and uncontrolled out of the blue. IF you have control of your dog via verbal commands then I see no issue. In our case - Trinity wouldn't attack anyone but she will sometimes "Seem aggressive" and when we are out walking we don't want to make someone else feel uncomfortable if she were to run up to them full steam. And we are still working with her on obeying commands. She also (when this video was filmed) wasn't spayed and was in heat...so...we don't accidentally want more Trinitys running around the RV. 😁 I hope that helps? -J
@@OpenRoading yes thank you! That helps as Im looking into it, to getting a dog but also know that I will be travelling, so this is important “insider” knowledge which is very good and helpful to hear it directly from people travelling with dog. So thank you for that! 🙏🙏🙏
It's the DJI wireless mics. We really like them. amzn.to/3U6vEhC They also just recently released a new version of them as well that has some extra bells and whistles. -J
@@steveandnaz Yeah, that's just the receiver. I understand liking wired. We go with the wireless for the speed and mobility of it all - not having to worry about shutting a wire in the door because...well...I'm gonna do that if there's wires. 😂-J
We love your videos and enjoyed watching this one, as it was a unique border crossing. I was curious where you were going with it, since your thumbnail made it look like Mexico was unsafe. We don't find it any more unsafe than big cities in the US. We love traveling to Mexico and we LOVE the Mexican people. Some of the kindest people we have ever met. I know you have to sensationalize to get hits, but I hope you really think about how these things play to people's fears and prejudices and don't monetize on that. Just my thoughts. We will keep watching all of your wonderful adventures!
The thumbnail is always a combination with the title. It's impossible to summarize an entire video in a couple of words and a thumbnail, and you are correct that we do indeed want people to click, but we also do not try to be deceptive. In this case - the title is clearly a question that (we hope) the viewer is assuming that we answer in the video "Is RV Life Unsafe" and in the video we cover going to Mexico, Boondocking, driving our home on wheels, etc. I'd also like to flip this on it's head for a second - If this is indeed some sort of clickbait (which I don't believe it is) and someone clicks on this with the hope of getting confirmation bias that driving to Mexico is dangerous...they are going to be presented with a differing view...which I would see as a good thing. Appreciate the feedback! -J
Thank God Joseph is so handy and he was able to fix your slide! I love going to Mexico. I spent one winter down in South Texas at an RV resort in Mission very close to the border, best mango margaritas ever lol. Then I’ve been out here in Quartsite for the winter and I’ve gone over to Algodones. I have always felt very safe. Mexican cities rely on tourist for income. The last thing they want is to have trouble and Americans would not cross back over and spend their money. Travel safe looking forward to the next video.❤
Tries to be handy is a better description of my skills. 😂 And yes, you're so right. If tourism is their primary income then they want them to be safe! -J
The starlink equipment is $600 new. We bought it used so we save a couple of hundred there. Then the monthly cost depends on the plan. Starlink residential is $120 a month but it's always ongoing. Starlink roam (the plan we have) is $150 a month but you can "pause" your plan at the end of each billing cycle and restart it the next time you need it. So hopefully we'll be pausing ours soon if we get to a place where our Tmobile unlimited works well. -J
@@violetgeokimmel5805 The benefit for us is it works so many places where cell service does not. So amount of time and energy we save trying to figure out where to boondock next has dropped significantly after our first 4 years without it where we were constantly checking cell maps and even having to change locations last minute because we got there and didn't have strong enough signal for work. -J
Mexico is probably safer then the US right now. In these times improving your security plan should be a conversation. A little practice helps too. You all stay aware. Safe travels.
I don't know if I'd go THAT far. 😂 There still is a reason so many people want to come to the USA. Security is always an ongoing discussion for sure. -J

I'm so glad you explained that Big Bend river crossing and what it's all about. We went to that spot in Big Bend, and I was thinking, "WHAT? Why are there boats on the Mexico side? Is this where the illegals cross?" I mean, it would be real easy, right? But now that you explained what it's all about, I feel better....I think. 😁
Haha. Yeah. It’s pretty interesting area but the town is super remote so it’s not a “hotspot” for crossing. Plus anyone apprehended around here has to get sent to Eagle Pass TX anyway so if the people crossing already know that…they’ll just do their river crossing over there and save themselves some time with their asylum claim….-J
We’ll be covering that in 2 weeks but it’s a little up in the air at the moment. Our fav is campendium but their app is going away. The service will remain with a different company but we aren’t sure if it will still be as good or not. Time will tell! -J
Trinity has reached out to inquire about the actors animals guild, as a DA, I strongly suggest treating her like a Queen so she doesn't decide to join the guild! Her main concern was if merely saying her name, or referring to her, does that count as screen time???
@@OpenRoading On top of that, her parent dogs owners are seeing $$$ if you put Trinity on too much, so the good news is they don't watch videos....yet...just had friends mention, may end up with gene test to determine if they are both the mother and father dog they own, so they would be looking at high costs just to get the thing going...I know a guy, a PI, who could keep an eye out on dog gene testing, look out for someone wanting to help pick up any droppings left behind!

If you ever see that we're in the same area as you please don't hesitate to reach out. Would love to spend some time with you both. -J
Yeah - one headline of a tourist being a victim of a major crime there would kill their local economy for sure. -J

Not sure I'd do any of THOSE roads with the rig!! 👀 But we have gotten into some rough territory. 😁 -J
We didn't get a chance to go over to Mexico when we visited but looks like a lot of fun. I love the fact that you guys "took" the boat.

@paulab984 Thanks so much.
Yeah, burn out is a very real thing for video creators. With income tied to every new video unless you're earning thousands per video taking a week off can be stressful. But pushing out multiple videos per week with this amount of post production would wear us down in a hurrrrry. -J

I think the biggest thing with boondocking for me was getting used to no AC. (We just chase the climate that feels comfortable.) but with newer, less power hungry, ac units coming down the pike I think we may be able to use AC in 2-3 years which would be spectacular. -J

I'm so surprised you considered Mexico. I would never set foot there today,.
Interesting. -J

Try Playa Bonita in Puerto Penasco, MX for camping by the beach. 1 hour south of the border. Lots of RVers. Good road. We love it there.
Thanks for the idea! We may give that a shot. -J
Great video, curious why you don’t do Harvest Host / Boondockers Welcome as a Walmart alternative? We rarely HH but have loved BW.
The second one is....I love shopping with the RV in the parking lot. So being able to combine the sleep-over stop with the shopping stop is such an incredible time saver WHEN we can make it happen. -J
Get a Ring Spotlight camera. That will give you a light and camera. I have one that plugs in that I use as an area light and to monitor my driveway.
Do they run off batteries or do I have to wire them in? -J
Right from the start-you are crazy to go to Mexico!!
haha!
LOL) -J

These were new to me as well. They are passports that get you through Canada and Mexico (and possibly a few other countries?). They are quite a bit cheaper and we don't see ourselves going beyond those two countries for a couple years at least so we went with them instead of the books. -J
You are the second person this year that has problem with slide. Making me think not getting one. Glad dont have one on my trailer
LOL
How do you work under vehicles like that without getting tons and tons of dust and stuff in your eyes?
In a video earlier, another TH-camr said he used Mint Mobile for unlimited data. I have no idea how coverage is in different areas, though.
Trusting my gut in sketchy areas is one of my big fears. My gut doesn’t work well at all. I am afraid everything will feel sketchy just because I’m afraid.
First - I just love that you left your comment this way. I'll sometimes do this with other channels as well. 😁
Most of the dogs seemed to be well fed but I also think they were all kind of "community dogs" which made me a little sad. I don't think all of them had "homes"
When you go to Mexico I think you should probably do something like Baha. I don't think this gave a true mexico feel to it as much as it did "tourist trap."
Our rig is a 2005 so....bells and whistles are few. 😂
As to dust in the eyes....I get dust in my eyes. 😂
Hmmm..

What precautions have you taken for Trinity's safety/comfort while you both are away from the RV?

Maybe we all have the dumb tourists look, HA!

Are you going to be coming thru Tucson after white sands?

White sand look beautiful
It does! -J
Waco should be on that list
Stay away from compounds (I just dated myself...) -J
98% of motorhomes have no rearview mirror either.
Good call! -J
Good looking pizza!
Thanks! Tastes fantastic! -J
How much is starlink
The starlink equipment is $600 new. We bought it used so we save a couple of hundred there.
Then the monthly cost depends on the plan.
Starlink residential is $120 a month but it's always ongoing.
Starlink roam (the plan we have) is $150 a month but you can "pause" your plan at the end of each billing cycle and restart it the next time you need it. So hopefully we'll be pausing ours soon if we get to a place where our Tmobile unlimited works well. -J
@OpenRoading wow, thank you. I'd buy it used to, my mind is blown.
FYI: Dairy is AWESOME!
Except when it messes with your stomach! 😆 - K
You are going to meet up with Wild Rv Life.
DING DING DING
Horse round trip is only $20 total? Has the price gone up?
It’s actually $15 per person one way. -K
@@OpenRoading Oh shoot! We were just there in January and it was $20 round trip!! Might have to walk next time!!
@@mid-centurymoderngirl8271 Or maybe we were suckers. LOL -J
Still trying to catch up with all the videos
You're getting there!
You probably know this but I'm going to put it here just in case it's helpful. To see all the video thumbnails in order from newest to oldest you can go here:

And just make sure "Latest" is selected. -J
Maybe Craig & Victoria will swap you even up for that Brinkley!?
They are very very awesome and kind people. Super generous even. But no.
I asked. It's a no. 😂 -J
So so impressed with Joseph’s engineering mind and problem solving skills. 👏👏👏 Also, the horseback riding commentary had me giggling! 😂 y’all are the best!
I'm not sure I would call them....skills.... 😂 -J
Love Craig and Victoria’s videos 🎉
We do too! We really enjoyed getting to hang out with them again. -J
I love Mexico
I want to go back....to somewhere that is more than a "garage sale." 😁 -J
🎉
🏆 (as always!)
Your a friend of Craig but your a Team No Gloves.. 💩🤢
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He even lets me ride in his super clean truck! I'm not sure whether or not he's cool shaking my hand though. I'll have to check next time we hang out.
Craig and I are just trying to show the world that you can set your differences aside, you can disagree on the penultimate of issues of life and still get along. 😂 -J
What app do you suggest for BLM / dispersed camping??
We’ll be covering that in 2 weeks but it’s a little up in the air at the moment. Our fav is campendium but their app is going away. The service will remain with a different company but we aren’t sure if it will still be as good or not. Time will tell! -J
"Get a new RV!!" -- we would say that often!😅❤
haha! We love this girl...but she's got a few miles under her tires for sure. 😂 -J
Come on. Never get to 1/4 tank!
What’s that 1/4 for? 😃 -J
Trinity has reached out to inquire about the actors animals guild, as a DA, I strongly suggest treating her like a Queen so she doesn't decide to join the guild! Her main concern was if merely saying her name, or referring to her, does that count as screen time???
lol. last thing we need is her being part of the AAG. -J
@@mattcrain7057 Well...based on the scars on Trinity I kinda want to have some words with the parent dog owners should they ever come around to the channel. 😡
Stay tuned about DNA testing. 😁 -J
