I don’t understand why this is so hard to comprehend. It’s nice that I have a handful of games now but like buying any other console at launch, you’re buying it to play games that come out later. I love mine.
I’m loving the PS5 PRO. I suspect people who attempt to bully are just sad children who don’t have enough pocket money to buy one. I agree, laugh at them or ignore them, both have the same result, they are the loser not you.
As someone who owns the base PS5, I agree. There are lots of sad and whiny people on the internet who will put you down for a purchase you made. I'm really impressed with the PS5 Pro and I can clearly see the massive difference in quality. I'm definitely getting one.
Glad I live on my own. Nobody tells me how to live my life lol I suggest things to people but they don’t have to listen. Such as I suggest to get a Lexus if you want trouble free motoring. I suggest to get Yamaha if you want the best all cinema amplifier for the money and I would probably suggest to wait at least another 6. On this to buy a pro if you haven’t got one. By then hopefully major issues will be ironed out and games will be looking better, it is clear Sony rushed this thing and are not working close with developers to ensure of quality updates.

I just brought a computer because the pro didnt seem worth it for the price. Now i can play every game not just sony games.... But i do have a ps5 and xsx to.
As someone who has had a base PS5 since launch but never got round to completing many of the games I bought, the pro has been ideal for me. A new drive from me to get these games played looking the best they possibly can. Yes there are teething problems on some games but when aren’t there with new hardware. More than happy

Anyone who has a massive tv knows the PS5 looked rough on big tvs. I upgraded from a 65 inch to a 75 inch tv on that tv the PS5 cracks showed even more so the PS5 pro saved my 75 inch tv purchase. The PS5 is fine for 55 and 45 tvs but if you are on 65, 75 or even 85. Get a PS5 pro , it will save your tv and gaming

Im completely happy with my purchase. I can never commit to pc gaming because it WILL get more expensive as time goes on and the price to performance ratio is questionable. paying thousands of dollars for unoptimized games (which btw you DONT own because theyre digital) is crazy to me. the performance of a console is not that far behind midrange/highend pcs. The experience I get playing on console is seamless and simple. The ps5 pro is the best console that allows me to get that simplicity and collect physical games.

Absolutely my thoughts. I think the case of the PS5 Pro is very special, because there are sooo many envy / jealous people out there, trying to bash that thing over and over again. You can easily clear these "reviews" out, because they don't really testing the consoles properly, nor did they mentioned every single feature they add. I.e. old ps4 games (can) look fantastic sharp on this thing. Right now i'm playing the Drake Collection of Uncharted 1 / 2 / 3 and it looks definitely better, than on base ps5. Have the console almost since day one and would definitely buy it again, without any doubt. My conclusion: If you have the necessary hardware 4K / 120Hz / VRR TV AND playing many hours on the console, it's more than worth it. Enjoy!

I would love to see you review Remnant 2 on the Pro. I've been playing it for the last few nights and it's very pretty and a very fun game. No Pro patch yet...I think it's just maintaining the dynamic resolution at the highest level and keeping a consistent 60fps (Balanced option in the settings.)
Im very happy with my ps5 pro purchase. I've also got some silly hate from people when i leave a pro related comment. It's mostly people just latching onto a hate trend with no real knowledge of what upgrades the console is bringing to the table. It really doesn't affect me. I wanted the console and, like yourself, i see meaningful upgrades in a lot of games. Is it a perfect bit of kit? Absolutely not, but what product is these days. There are things to be ironed out. PSSR's AI model will improve in time and that added bit of horse power with the the gpu is a nice upgrade until ps6 arrives. It's an optional upgrade and people shouldn't feel bad for upgrading because of silly Internet discourse. I remember the one X and ps4 pro had similar backlash, but both ended up being very welcome upgrades. It's optional guys... chill 😂
The people that can’t afford it because they paid $700 for a regular PS five from a scalper. Or they paid an extra hundred dollars for the disc version of the PS five over the digital version. Or they went from a PS4 Pro to a PS five which was no upgrade at all. I went from a PC to a PS five Pro. I still have my PC and it’s way more powerful but it’s not near as convenient. It’s worth $700 for me to just sit down on the couch turn on my controller and a way I go don’t you have to turn the TV on or off or nothing
@ $700, I spent more than that on my gpu. Quite a bit more. The convenience factor is unquestionable everything downloads on my PS five while I’m not there. All I have to do is grab my controller. Hit the PS button my TV turns on everything turns on and I’m playing a game within two minutes if not faster from the time I pick up my controller. Sometimes I only have 20 minutes to play. That’s a big deal many times in the past with my PC if I want to sit down and play on my TV from the couch, I gotta turn on the PC then turn on the TV, not to mention running the cable over to the TV. Otherwise, I have to sit at my desk. Then I gotta sign onto Steam find the game I wanna play then it will sign onto something else before I can play it not to mention I probably have to download several updates. Then I gotta deal with my keyboard and mouse from the couch to control the computer. If I wanna play on the couch, I will use a controller, but I still need to have the keyboard and mouse there to control the computer. That’s what I call convenience
Love my Pro! I’ve sold my gaming laptop, Switch, Xbox Series X, Steam Deck and of course my PS5. Now I game exclusively on the Pro with a 75” LG OLED TV at 120hz with VRR and it’s the best way I’ve experienced games ever. Let the haters hate, I ignore that stuff.
I LOVE mine! The original PS5 started to overheat or shut off randomly no matter how manytimes i clean it. The UI felt slow. The Pro!!!? Shooot it's GREAT! Plus it makes GT7's VR mode look SO GOOD! Somehow it looks brighter and crisper!? Not to mention they fixed the re projection. It's so smooth. Not to mention the extra 2TB of storage! Woo!

Solid video mate. I am also loving the Pro. There are 2 problems though. 1: People who do not have a high end 120hz display with VRR at 65 inch or above, they probably won't see a big difference. 2: There are some developers who just aren't implementing the PSSR right and releasing an enhanced mode without even quality testing it. Just rushing it out. Those who are really working on a proper Pro enhancement, they show what the system can do, and it can do amazing things!
I’ve been mainly a pc gamer for the past few years…I got the original PS5 on release date and if I’m honest, rarely played it. However, I picked up the PSVR2 headset when it was on sale earlier in the year and have been using my PS5 more just for VR. However, despite having a 3080 desktop and a 4090 laptop, I’m loving the PS5 Pro. It’s nice to just stick on a game on the telly and be able to play it at 60 fps with the visual fidelity still mostly there. Don’t get me wrong, pc is still a lot better if you pay a lot more but a £700 console can’t be compared to a laptop that cost almost four grand more. For the price, I think the PS5 Pro is a good buy and probably better value for money than buying a comparable pc.

I love mine. Glad I got it. Awhile back i was thinking about getting the slim because I wanted improved wifi. My ps5 is in my office about 75 feet from router. I have the ps portal, sometimes it plays great and sometimes it lags. I usually have to leave the door open just to get a better signal strength. I got the pro recently. Huge difference. Don't have to leave the door open. I also do play in my office with a 4k monitor and I love it. Thanks for the positive review. (I can't complain about the negative reviews because it made it easier for me to find one in stock lol. ) but I agree the negative reviews are nit picky. Also, love that it's slimmer than the base and makes me not want to but a slim.

Worked hard all year, saved up some money, just so I can get great deals on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Already had a PS5 and a Sony Bravia 6 55" TV which I gifted to my best friend who has two kids and zero luxury budget. I got myself a PS5 Pro with a 55" LG evo C4 OLED. Different people have different situations in life. PS5 Pro owners aren't all rich or privileged or ignorant. I did the research and it has a great upside with games coming in 2025 onward. I already pretty much played everything I wanted on my previous PS5, and looking forward to fully optimized titles like MH Wilds. People who hate are just miserable and can't do anything about it, so they want everyone else to be as unhappy as they are, just to feel better about themselves. Pretty sad actually. They deserve pity, but not compassion.
I guess some people are going to be REALLY mad that I bought two of them, hehe. I did the same thing for PS4 Pro. I like redundancy. I think that if you feel like your PS5 is good, and you're not willing to spend another $780 for what you consider to be diminishing returns, that's a legitimate stance to take. If you're on team Nintendo or Xbox or PC and you engage in the tribalism of the console wars, you're a giant tool. If you want it, but don't have the money at the moment, there are all kinds of ways to make extra money. Do one for a while and save up for it instead of bashing the system just because you can't buy it right away.
Bought one today. It’ll give me the best performance for C3 OLED. I’m more concerned about the FPS increase, as 30fps makes me feel like I’m having a medical emergency when I see it now (seizure, stroke etc…) and induces severe anxiety. 🤷♂️
Not every game needs a PS5 Pro patch. Because of the extra head room of the PS5 Pro, Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga now runs at a higher resolution on performance mode and looks way better than it ever has on PS5. It doesn’t not have a PS5 Pro Enhance mode.

I came from a PS4 Pro running on a Sony 40" 1080p LED screen with no HDR. I now have a Sony 65" A95L OLED with 120hz HDR and a PS5 Pro with a 4TB SSD installed. The difference is incredible. It has rejuvenated my love for playing games. Sony have put together a breath-taking end to end system. I've got all my favourite games installed on the SSD digitally, either PS+ free or via a low price upgrade for enhanced versions. I do not even need the disc drive I bought, because I have realised it is easy to go full digital without paying full price for games. Forget all this game preservation nonsense. You preserve games that deserve to be preserved by remastering or remaking them for current hardware, and store the entire game on personal storage in its entirety without deleting it to make space. The disc is worthless. It is just a plastic carrier that does not contain the full game due to all the additional patches on the server. The quality on offer is nothing I have ever seen before on a console and it's running 4k 60fps. It surprised me how much HDR adds to the visuals. Days Gone on PS4 Pro was pastel colours 1080p 30fps even when viewed on the A95L, but Days Gone on PS5 Pro now has fully saturated vibrant colours. It looks like a totally different port of the game, running 4K 120hz. The core assets in the game are a lot higher than I expected. PS5 Pro is a beast that strikes deep into high end gaming. It's not the extreme cutting edge but leaves mid range PC gaming in the dust. I laugh every time some mid range master race fool attempts to build a $700 PC to match PS5 Pro. You are basically getting a $2,000 high end PC for $700 and mid range PC gamers are going crazy with hate. As for angry xbots, well what can I say, they are doomed to streaming games on a tiny handheld screen. RIP Xbox consoles.

The best way to describe the in person palpable difference is that it makes the base PS5s version of performance mode unnecessary. Not that it's adding new details and textures in a lot of non-pro-patched games, but rather that its displaying the highest detail mode at 60 FPS (assuming FPS isn't locked at 30). I get annoyed at reviews comparing still images, or images without motion. The second thing it does is maintain sharper detail in certain scenarios - such as very large TVs. You don't sit closer to the TV to notice, you instead see the benefit if you own purchase a huge screen. That also coincides with 8K technology since people complain about not seeing a difference between 4K unless you sit closer. Enthusiast = go big or go home lol

I think the most valid point is that the size and most importantly quality of the tv you have dictates if you will see the difference ! Given the price of the PRO i think it can be assumed those people will have the best.

I bought the ps5 pro, I never owned a ps5 I was rocking a pc but got tired with all of the tinkering and hardware issues I was having with it. I played console my whole life like the xbox 360,ps4, xbox one etc. I have been loving the ps5 pro so much, I also bought an asus oled monitor and everything looks gorgeous

Absolutely my thoughts. I think the case of the PS5 Pro is very special, because there are sooo many envy / jealous people out there, trying to bash that thing over and over again. You can easily clear these "reviews" out, because they don't really testing the consoles properly, nor did they mentioned every single feature they add. I.e. old ps4 games (can) look fantastic sharp on this thing. Right now i'm playing the Drake Collection of Uncharted 1 / 2 / 3 and it looks definitely better, than on base ps5. Have the console almost since day one and would definitely buy it again, without any doubt.
My conclusion:
If you have the necessary hardware 4K / 120Hz / VRR TV AND playing many hours on the console, it's more than worth it.

I would love to see you review Remnant 2 on the Pro. I've been playing it for the last few nights and it's very pretty and a very fun game. No Pro patch yet...I think it's just maintaining the dynamic resolution at the highest level and keeping a consistent 60fps (Balanced option in the settings.)

Im very happy with my ps5 pro purchase. I've also got some silly hate from people when i leave a pro related comment. It's mostly people just latching onto a hate trend with no real knowledge of what upgrades the console is bringing to the table. It really doesn't affect me. I wanted the console and, like yourself, i see meaningful upgrades in a lot of games. Is it a perfect bit of kit? Absolutely not, but what product is these days. There are things to be ironed out. PSSR's AI model will improve in time and that added bit of horse power with the the gpu is a nice upgrade until ps6 arrives. It's an optional upgrade and people shouldn't feel bad for upgrading because of silly Internet discourse. I remember the one X and ps4 pro had similar backlash, but both ended up being very welcome upgrades. It's optional guys... chill 😂
The people that can’t afford it because they paid $700 for a regular PS five from a scalper. Or they paid an extra hundred dollars for the disc version of the PS five over the digital version. Or they went from a PS4 Pro to a PS five which was no upgrade at all. I went from a PC to a PS five Pro. I still have my PC and it’s way more powerful but it’s not near as convenient. It’s worth $700 for me to just sit down on the couch turn on my controller and a way I go don’t you have to turn the TV on or off or nothing

@ $700, I spent more than that on my gpu. Quite a bit more. The convenience factor is unquestionable everything downloads on my PS five while I’m not there. All I have to do is grab my controller. Hit the PS button my TV turns on everything turns on and I’m playing a game within two minutes if not faster from the time I pick up my controller. Sometimes I only have 20 minutes to play. That’s a big deal many times in the past with my PC if I want to sit down and play on my TV from the couch, I gotta turn on the PC then turn on the TV, not to mention running the cable over to the TV. Otherwise, I have to sit at my desk. Then I gotta sign onto Steam find the game I wanna play then it will sign onto something else before I can play it not to mention I probably have to download several updates. Then I gotta deal with my keyboard and mouse from the couch to control the computer. If I wanna play on the couch, I will use a controller, but I still need to have the keyboard and mouse there to control the computer. That’s what I call convenience

Love my Pro! I’ve sold my gaming laptop, Switch, Xbox Series X, Steam Deck and of course my PS5. Now I game exclusively on the Pro with a 75” LG OLED TV at 120hz with VRR and it’s the best way I’ve experienced games ever. Let the haters hate, I ignore that stuff.
I LOVE mine! The original PS5 started to overheat or shut off randomly no matter how manytimes i clean it. The UI felt slow. The Pro!!!? Shooot it's GREAT! Plus it makes GT7's VR mode look SO GOOD! Somehow it looks brighter and crisper!? Not to mention they fixed the re projection. It's so smooth. Not to mention the extra 2TB of storage! Woo!

Solid video mate. I am also loving the Pro. There are 2 problems though.
1: People who do not have a high end 120hz display with VRR at 65 inch or above, they probably won't see a big difference.
2: There are some developers who just aren't implementing the PSSR right and releasing an enhanced mode without even quality testing it. Just rushing it out.
Those who are really working on a proper Pro enhancement, they show what the system can do, and it can do amazing things!
I’ve been mainly a pc gamer for the past few years…I got the original PS5 on release date and if I’m honest, rarely played it. However, I picked up the PSVR2 headset when it was on sale earlier in the year and have been using my PS5 more just for VR. However, despite having a 3080 desktop and a 4090 laptop, I’m loving the PS5 Pro. It’s nice to just stick on a game on the telly and be able to play it at 60 fps with the visual fidelity still mostly there. Don’t get me wrong, pc is still a lot better if you pay a lot more but a £700 console can’t be compared to a laptop that cost almost four grand more. For the price, I think the PS5 Pro is a good buy and probably better value for money than buying a comparable pc.

I love mine. Glad I got it. Awhile back i was thinking about getting the slim because I wanted improved wifi. My ps5 is in my office about 75 feet from router. I have the ps portal, sometimes it plays great and sometimes it lags. I usually have to leave the door open just to get a better signal strength. I got the pro recently. Huge difference. Don't have to leave the door open. I also do play in my office with a 4k monitor and I love it. Thanks for the positive review. (I can't complain about the negative reviews because it made it easier for me to find one in stock lol. ) but I agree the negative reviews are nit picky. Also, love that it's slimmer than the base and makes me not want to but a slim.

Worked hard all year, saved up some money, just so I can get great deals on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Already had a PS5 and a Sony Bravia 6 55" TV which I gifted to my best friend who has two kids and zero luxury budget. I got myself a PS5 Pro with a 55" LG evo C4 OLED. Different people have different situations in life. PS5 Pro owners aren't all rich or privileged or ignorant. I did the research and it has a great upside with games coming in 2025 onward. I already pretty much played everything I wanted on my previous PS5, and looking forward to fully optimized titles like MH Wilds. People who hate are just miserable and can't do anything about it, so they want everyone else to be as unhappy as they are, just to feel better about themselves. Pretty sad actually. They deserve pity, but not compassion.

I think that if you feel like your PS5 is good, and you're not willing to spend another $780 for what you consider to be diminishing returns, that's a legitimate stance to take. If you're on team Nintendo or Xbox or PC and you engage in the tribalism of the console wars, you're a giant tool. If you want it, but don't have the money at the moment, there are all kinds of ways to make extra money. Do one for a while and save up for it instead of bashing the system just because you can't buy it right away.
I think most of the real hate is from Xbox fan boys who hate anything, playstion, or people who can't afford it or find it.

Bought one today. It’ll give me the best performance for C3 OLED. I’m more concerned about the FPS increase, as 30fps makes me feel like I’m having a medical emergency when I see it now (seizure, stroke etc…) and induces severe anxiety. 🤷♂️

Not every game needs a PS5 Pro patch. Because of the extra head room of the PS5 Pro, Lego Star Wars Skywalker Saga now runs at a higher resolution on performance mode and looks way better than it ever has on PS5. It doesn’t not have a PS5 Pro Enhance mode.
I have a portable monitor 3k 120hz and the pro looks and plays amazing. No vrr and it still looks great.

MB ...excellent video. There are a lot of pretend gamers out there who are jealous that real gamers are enjoying gaming. All this PS5 Pro hate is water off a duck's back. I came from a PS4 Pro running on a Sony 40" 1080p LED screen with no HDR. I now have a Sony 65" A95L OLED with 120hz HDR and a PS5 Pro with a 4TB SSD installed. The difference is incredible. It has rejuvenated my love for playing games. Sony have put together a breath-taking end to end system.
I've got all my favourite games installed on the SSD digitally, either PS+ free or via a low price upgrade for enhanced versions. I do not even need the disc drive I bought, because I have realised it is easy to go full digital without paying full price for games. Forget all this game preservation nonsense. You preserve games that deserve to be preserved by remastering or remaking them for current hardware, and store the entire game on personal storage in its entirety without deleting it to make space. The disc is worthless. It is just a plastic carrier that does not contain the full game due to all the additional patches on the server.
The quality on offer is nothing I have ever seen before on a console and it's running 4k 60fps. It surprised me how much HDR adds to the visuals. Days Gone on PS4 Pro was pastel colours 1080p 30fps even when viewed on the A95L, but Days Gone on PS5 Pro now has fully saturated vibrant colours. It looks like a totally different port of the game, running 4K 120hz. The core assets in the game are a lot higher than I expected.
PS5 Pro is a beast that strikes deep into high end gaming. It's not the extreme cutting edge but leaves mid range PC gaming in the dust. I laugh every time some mid range master race fool attempts to build a $700 PC to match PS5 Pro. You are basically getting a $2,000 high end PC for $700 and mid range PC gamers are going crazy with hate. As for angry xbots, well what can I say, they are doomed to streaming games on a tiny handheld screen. RIP Xbox consoles.

The best way to describe the in person palpable difference is that it makes the base PS5s version of performance mode unnecessary. Not that it's adding new details and textures in a lot of non-pro-patched games, but rather that its displaying the highest detail mode at 60 FPS (assuming FPS isn't locked at 30). I get annoyed at reviews comparing still images, or images without motion.
The second thing it does is maintain sharper detail in certain scenarios - such as very large TVs. You don't sit closer to the TV to notice, you instead see the benefit if you own purchase a huge screen. That also coincides with 8K technology since people complain about not seeing a difference between 4K unless you sit closer.

I think the most valid point is that the size and most importantly quality of the tv you have dictates if you will see the difference ! Given the price of the PRO i think it can be assumed those people will have the best.

I bought the ps5 pro, I never owned a ps5 I was rocking a pc but got tired with all of the tinkering and hardware issues I was having with it. I played console my whole life like the xbox 360,ps4, xbox one etc. I have been loving the ps5 pro so much, I also bought an asus oled monitor and everything looks gorgeous
