This car has the best personality from any other car you've ever had on the channel. I have been waiting for the video ever since you first showed it on Instagram 2 weeks ago.
These older cars all have there own SOULS vs cars today that are just generic!

Chrysler’s first V8 engine was the “dual rocker,” now known as the original Hemi. Developed from Chrysler’s aviation research, the efficient powerhouse had roughly hemispherical heads, opposing valves, and a complex valvetrain that used dual rocker arm shafts for each cylinder.
The 326 was launched in 1959. Its actual piston displacement is 325.2 cu in (5.3 L) but it was marketed as a 326 to avoid confusion with the Dodge Red Ram 325 (hemi). 1959 was the only year for the Dodge 326 polyspherical engine.
Dubbed the “poly” (due to its polyspherical heads) or “semi-hemi,” the new design had rounded, circular combustion chambers, like the Hemi; but they only had one rocker arm shaft, instead of the Hemi’s two. To make the change, they put the intake valves on the top of the rocker arm and the exhaust valves on the bottom. The results were lower cost, less weight, and higher production; the cost was a slight loss of efficiency. (allpar.com) Also, the the two speed automatic Chrysler used was a Power-Flite not a Turboglide.

Yes...He can have a "More Auto Auctions Rebuild" like Doug DeMuro and use it to feature just one specific build like this one.
I love ya Randy but your content is constantly changing and there is rarely a focus on a build that is a teachable moment for your audience. The Copart Walk arounds are your bread and butter and I love those...Then we get to see what you win....Love those too....Then we dip in to your hellcat and corvette...love those all day long. This channels format is no place to show us a car of this caliber only to forget it weeks later. Thats unforgivable. Make a new channel and take turns recording content for each with the focus on your bread and butter copart walk arounds....The new channel is slower pace but focused solely on a build. I would watch these all day long every day like I already do! Just dont let that '59 fade away...

Be careful when you see vaporized fuel when working on cars. Any small spark can cause the ignition of all gas vapor and liquid gas in the area. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby with the pin pulled. I used the flipper hubcaps from the deluxe model of this year on my dad's 1954 Ford pickup. In your climate vaporized fuel when ignited can reach out and get you at a further distance than you might think. My family owned a 1956 4 door three tone paint. White top, charcoal center and coral bottom. Your best choice for paint is the stock color for a restored survivor driver.

    • @mexicanspec

Yes, but that won't affect how it runs. The rest of the cylinder will make up for it.

@@mexicanspec ..It will be slow/down on power! But yes ,they run smooth and perfect running on 6 cyl..most muscle cars had blown engines and people bought them and thought, thats the way they are lol they didnt know they were running on 6 cyl instead of 8!

Us late 50's vintages need a lot of TLC 😉 Thanks Mike, for helping Randy (and us) see this grand old lady live again! 👍
Don't forget a better upper radiator hose, too, Randy. That one is kinked, and you'll overheat the engine. I was probably as excited to hear that 326 come to life, as Randy! 🥰

Respectfully, Randy, I would certainly ALWAYS have a proper fire extinguisher on hand. When you have even a potential for any gas leaking at all anywhere, even MORE so. They are not that expensive and can obviously make the difference between saving or having to junk any car, much less a classic.
Finger wagging aside, this is an absolute CLASSIC and I'm so happy you have included it on the channel!

Exactly, Wade. This car deserves a proper paint job. No patina, no Maaco crap paint. A quality paint job is in order in the original colors.

If it's the original trans I do not think it's a powerglide. All my knowledge and research indicate that the Powerglide is a GM only trans.
