#timtimebomb #rancid
Been in it since 79. Bounced out in 85. Missed about 30 years of the culture. Back init to win it. Anything having to do with this MFer, I’m about it. He is true to his roots with his original vibe. Also a beautiful punk snap that makes me move Mfers around🖕🏽🎵🎶🎼😎🖤💯
I met Tim in Hollywood in 1998 and he gave me a sticker. It's now 2020 and I still have it.
Wow man.....epic
Matts bass on this album is awe inspiring for bass players starting out
I wish this channel and show were still around
Tim, I love this! Please consider doing this with all of the Rancid albums!
Best punk album ever made. Go ahead, challenge me.
I was 15 when this came out and it absolutely changed my life. I remember waiting for roots radical to come on the radio so I could record it onto a cassette tape! I've always had something off this album (and all their others) on tape, cd, computer or ipod ever since. Its pretty damn fascinating to be able to hear about their creation 20 years later. These songs are timeless. Awesome band.
same here man. it changed my life.
SAME!!!
I was 11 years old when I heard ...and out come the wolves. I was already a fan from hearing Sidekick on Punk o rama 2 and going out to my local record shop and finding Let's Go and eventually Rancid S/T. Then my friend Dan played me Roots Radicals and I knew it was my scene, my life from that point on punk rock has been my religion. I am 37 now and I still love the music. Hey Mom, it's not a phase.
I dont remember my age...... but im now 43...so.. i was jakin these albums from the self-titled one
This is the best thing I've heard in a long fucking time.
+iHatebologna59 it is, this whole fucking cd is genius.
@47:19 That was always my favorite part of Old Friend, that sort of rap/rock... I don't know what its called, but it sounds rad!
This record makes my heart explode everytime I hear it. Same now as when I was 15.
The best band, the best album! thank you Rancid for being my favorite band for 20 fucking years!! Saludos from Tijuana, Mexico.
Arguably the best punk album ever made. For our generation , perhaps. Definitely.
For Tims generation , its probably something by The Clash or Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc. Right? (dont get me wrong, those are great too)
But this here album, its just a classic , even RnR album, beginning to end, the core, its great. Its beautiful. Its just gorgeous art, b&w punk rock, raw, in your face, real, deep and honest.
Its just unbelievable that a punk band could create such a great album, also Life Wont Wait. Fucking classic, timeless. Doesnt get boring, can be heard anywhere, anytime.
What else can I say? Thank you Rancid.
+thebarrochannel I'm a few years younger than him but I guess of their generation... My favourite punk album too. These songs are like old friends - sound so fresh 20 years after I got the record; and their friendship too. You can hear it. What a great show...
***** Op Ivy Energy is definitely a classic and stands on its own for ska/punk, in my humble opinion only seconded by Suicide's Machines Destruction by Definition. Minor Threat's is THE classic in HC.
Its true London Calling could be the reason Rancid did this album an its major in
fluence, also for Life Wont Wait. To me London Calling is a mega classic, all songs are good. Beautiful, timeless. For many punks for that generation it mustve blown their minds, same as "...And out " did with ours.
thebarrochannel i loved the US bombs
Saw this album live at Lollapalooza 1996 Barrie ontario Rancid and Ramones as well as a bunch of others. my favorite concert of all time. Out come the wolves was awesome then and is still one of my favorites. Thanks Tim and Rancid you guys rock
Same here, bro. I remember that afternoon so clearly too. It was the first time I’d ever seen Rancid and the last time I would ever see the Ramones. Lol, however I don’t really seem to remember seeing Sound Garden or Metallica.
that baseline in Maxwell murder and the solo drove me to switch from guitar to base. still playing today.
Im 31 when this album came out it seemed like it was the only thing we listened to in our car for years lol. Needless to say when I was old enough to play an instrument a couple years later I knew that bass was for me. Think Journey to the end was the first song i ever learned lol.
I am the proud owner of a Tim Armstrong series Gretsch and an honour green Fender acoustic. Gretschen and Fenderich.🤘❤️🇨🇦
Tisha loves Rancid Punx. This is what Tim signed to me when I first met him. Love you Tim, love you Rancid. Love your music forever. Will always come out to see you play as long as you keep playing for all us fans🖤
This is my favorite album of all time. It's perfect from start to finish.
This is still one of my favorite albums.
And now we’re ready for the 30th anniversary in 2025. Let’s Go!
First ever album where I was ever left awestruck. Every song was amazing, almost the first ska I got into (heard Op Ivy first). Did the bass from Maxwell Murder and Journey to the End of East Bay for my practical GCSE music and it got me an A. Cheers Matt 👍🏻
Best punk rock album of all time, no question. Never gets boring, never sounds 'old'.
Heard this album and Rancid for the first time at the record store when it came out. Iirc it was Ruby Soho playing.
Couldn't have gotten through my teens and twenties without this album and you guys. Too much love and respect to express.. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
+1!!
They should do this for life wont wait
ultimately, I never would have found punk rock(and billy bragg!) without bands like this. The older I get, the more I appreciate this band and album.
+1 :)
Billy Bragg rules.
August 22, 1995...same day as Dance Hall Crashers 'Lockjaw' and it's an invasion of Berkeley Mods & Rude Boys-Girls♪Saw the 3-night stand at Hollywood Palladium (with the Lunachicks) that November. Bought the LP...
Lint wrote track 10 of DHC too: Pictures...around this time you had Rancid-related material elsewhere too. Brixton with John Bradbury (!!!) on drums in Rock Stars Kill, Lookout Records' 100th release with aforementioned Kill Rock Stars featured 'Rudy, Rudy' by Shaken 69, which is members of Rancid, Skankin Pickle, The UPTONES....
I have been a musician since 1967. I like Tim Timebomb. A Lot. I saw the Ramones in 1981, the Specials in 1980, the Dead Kennedys in 1981 just so you know where I'm comin' from. "She's Drunk All the Time" is a Total Bomb.
I got this album on tape back in 1997. Back then I was 13, today, I am 32 and still enjoy it. Greetings from MXCity.
This album totally RIPS! An absolute treasure of sonic proportion.
Too bad you can't stream beers over the Internet. This kicks ass, what a great, timeless album
nice work tim, listened to the album 20 years ago. I still go back to it, thanks
This album brings so much joy to my soul every time I listen to it. Everyone has a few significant albums that influenced the journey of their lives and this is one of mine.
And those choruses man. Talk about hooks.
The only negative about this album is that it ends too soon.
I've only stumbled across this video and it's great to listen to the album with the commentary from the band.
Lovin' it.
Unlike a lot of punk, even though the overall sound is the same (which is fine BTW) the individual songs really stand out. They don't just blur together as good-sounding mish-mash, each song is delivered like it matters. It's a great one!
Good stuff thanks guys
Brett and Matt saying "here" simultaneously was the first thing to make me laugh out loud all day
I was 22 when this came out and was blown away. Played this over and over. Saw Rancid at the Hollywood Palladium and other places throughout CA and this album was the highlight. See ya in the pit! .....back when a pit meant black eyes and bruises.
***** Pit vomit! Awesome!
Soundtrack of my life!, thanks a lot poet Tim.
I love hearing the background story to great songs, and this whole album is great.
+Eric Nolle like an extras video for making a video game aha
Thank you for posting this
That was thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks guys!
I was raised on punk rock and stuff... always fucking loved it. Strayed away and found my niche in Austropop. Always have a soft spot for punk in my heart, no matter what. “And our Come the Wolves” is forever in my top 5 albums for any music I listen to. Love love love that album. Even my coworkers know the album because I’ve played it while doing pre opening tasks. It’s a comfort album to me and I love it so
Much.
Awesome that you branch out and still show love to punk.
AWESOME.
lefties forever changing the world. one of the first cds i ever purchased. born in 82. made me a fan forever. op ivy is pretty dope too. UNITY.
I started listening to rancid around 1993 i been listening to them every single day till then ,,gheese crazy
Just found this video while editing my own video for my new show 33&A3rd, oddly enough about this album! My favorite album of all time from my favorite band of all time. Amazing, almost 25 years old and just as important today as it was the first time I got it on cassette! This made my day better... rad.
This is awesome. Please do one like this for "Let's Go" and the first album and EP. I was 11 years old when this came out. Bought "Wolves" and "Let's Go" at the same time. Life changer for sure. I sent a lot of corny fan club letters at the time lol
Listening to this bring back so much fuckin amazing memories ill never forget love u guys !!!!!!!
This was the first punk album I heard and the first I owned. Thanks, guys... you turned our little small-town world upside down and gave us all something awesome to follow.
Perfect
Hell yeah! This was awesome Tim. Thank you for so many great albums.
Freeman is the best bass player ever.🤘❤️🇨🇦
He's really up there isn't he! He seems to have a good imagination and a solid sense of playing expressively. Rock/punk bassists often play plodding licks with little more than root pounding. Nothing wrong with that at all--but, I like to actually listen to the bass. It's a favourite instrument of mine. Matt makes it sing :)
Scott Shiflett of Face to Face is awesome too!
th-cam.com/video/F6cAyWeh7A8/w-d-xo.html
This is such a seminal album, both for punk/music in general and in my life personally. This was the first punk album I ever heard, along with NoFx - Punk in Drublic, which I heard on the same day. I was nine years old when this came out and I remember hearing it at my friend's house through his older brother. It created a life long love of punk rock and music in general. Most importantly to me, it eventually brought me to Operation Ivy, which I consider my favorite punk band, and one of my top 5 favorite bands altogether, along with Nirvana, The Doors, Vampire Weekend, and The Postal Service. All very different bands I know, but as I said I have a love for music in general, spanning all genres. I'm sure nobody cares about any of this, but I felt compelled to share as ...And Out Come the Wolves just means so much to me.
Nah man. I care. Your story is cool. Music rules. Interesting list you have there. For shits and giggles, my top 5 is Pantera, Smashing Pumpkins, Deftones, Hatebreed, and Kings Of Leon. Rancid is definitely top 10.
incredible album...start to finish....
Thank you for always being real. From the 26 to the 60 to my mom's house
old friend was the first song i learned with my 80's shredder guitar/bass teacher when i was 16. we were in cuyahoga falls and it made him cry to hear a song about cleveland then i gave hom 2o bucks and he bought me a 12 pack. score
Tim, just wanted to thank you for all of the great music you have put out. ". . . And Out Come The Wolves" was the first Rancid album I purchased. One of my desert island picks for sure. Fantastic album, but I've slowly discovered that you guys have put out so much more great music that I wasn't aware of. I like the way your songs get better and better with each new listening.
I never get sick of them. Looking forward to buying the new cd as soon as possible. I hope that I can see you guys in concert some time soon. "And Out Come the Wolves" has always been my favorite, but Life Won't Wait and Indestructible are in a tie for a very close second.
Oh yeah, just wanted to say that I love the song "Olympia, Wa"!!!!!! One of the best songs ever written!!
God damn, They KILLED it @ PRB 2015 & their NYE Bash last year!!
Are you going to be uploading broadcasts regularly? It would be awesome to see them uploaded as podcasts too. Thanks for uploading this anyways Tim!
Great album great vocals guitars and drums and what can you say with mr. Mat on bass off the hook
Tim please upload these as podcasts. I know SiriusXM probably has you under contractual shit with it but these would be great as a weekly podcast. Anyway I love all this Rancid shit!! Come back and do another show in Virginia!!
An album so addictive people could use it to quit heroin. Too bad it makes me drink more :) Awesome hearing them talk about it in between tunes.
Loved this record ever since I bought it the day it came out. Love you guys.
I love this tim ❤ and I love you 😍 I think your amazing anyways this is my favourite album of all time ❤ I do love all the other rancid albums but this is my favourite one x
forever my favourite album.
Come back to Tucson, AZ!!!
This album change my life, I am a better bass player since when I´m list the first record "Maxwell Murder!" . Thank you Rancid!

Strung Out - Exile Into Oblivion 4.) The Clash - London Calling 5.) The Offspring - Ixnay on the Hombre 6.) NOFX - Punk in Drublic 7.) No Use for a Name - Making Friends 8.) The Casualties - Under Attack 9.) The Ramones - Rocket To Russia 10.) Bad Religion - The Gray Race
Albany! Took the 43 up the hill many times.

Transplants was the shit 👌
Anyone know whe I can listen to more of his podcasts? I don't think he's on anymore.
Tim, i apologize for stealing this album. And essentially money from the band.... ive done this with all your albums from self-titled att age 14. ....from blockbuster music..hey ..they shouldn't allow you to open the cds and the listen to them on portable cd players.. and then be trusted to put it back on the shelf with cd in it.😄.....lmao . .sorry fellas! But thank you sooo fkn much for keeping me alive tif only to see what u would do next...shout to my home girl Lindsey le'birdseed for getting me to buy a bikini kill 7in rebel girl split? So fellas cheers. And thank you.
They're all millionaires. They're really successful. I can't speak for them, but if you enjoy their music they probably don't give a flying fuck if you pirate their albums.
Apologize to the people you actually stole it from instead.
Tim.it was December 1998/ $oon to be 1999 the 11th hour was ticking down. I was only 13 at new years eve, huge fuckin epic show@san Diego sports arena(home of the San diego soccers,Rip) like 20 bands pretty much epitaph,I was super bummed Rancid ,hands down my fav band by leaps and bounds along with operation skavy, lol wasn't on the bill, and so naturally really feeling real neglected and like a stepchild being that to this day for some unknown hellafied fucked up tragic reason Rancid would always neglect SD on their tours...at least until the summer warped tour 99.but any what ,which way so this night wasn't no suprise to me w my bleached liberty spikes dog chain and louis v lock round my neck Dickies jacket w leopard on the collar and swingin utters juvenile productive workin class backpatch, op ivy man on the front, I was seeing double but login every minute stumbling through the hallways drunk w my homie / bassist Brandon in his drunken glory next thing you know I'm watching my homie getting drug throught the hall by the punk ass turnkey ninjas, shout-out fuck the sdpd for the wreck chord. Good fuckin times now near midnight I look ahead and who do I fuckin run straight on head on into but My tennage idol\look alike (no homo) so yeah there he is O.g. young Tim mf time bomb 💣 with a brand new mrs. Tim Armstrong in tow, Brodie w camcorder in hand. I salute thee, the night had just become the best of my life til then. So Tim has a Dickies jacket like mine an a golf hat and chain around his neck we take the dopest picture he got his arm around my neck throwin up his punk rock gangsign.i kept that picture in my lil wallet photo folder, until July I'm walking backstage at the del mar fairgrounds warped tour and who do I see. I yell lint!!,at dude, and so dude don't say nothing at all it's just me and him he sees me and stops walks over to me and we bump fists, I tellhim bro I got something to show u . I pull out my wallet and show him the picture from new years and he was like wow! He signed the back of it for me .and then went on to straight kill it on stage, where me and homie from new years Eve wanted to take in every minute of the 20 minute set so we climbed on top of a news van and watched the madness and mayhem ensue from the freshly dented bus.! To become the best my life barely 15, just wanted to say I'm still rocking w you after all this time and a 9 year tour of California, thanks to c.d.c..i made sure to make rancid name rang like bells all through CA dept of corrections level 3 and 4 yards and hole time ad seg group yards and dog cages but all true story and so in the spirit of 69 cameradery all truth be told..Rancid cool as real a.F. people from CALi are definitely still some of my heros. Much love, loyalty and respects to you all from O.O.G. A-CAB & the city w no pity 619 dago fools. Thanks for the Rad memories and killer jams.til next time. This one's in the wind
Yeah! I came out here looking for the explanation to LETS GO. Do it with all the albums please, for ex I’d like to know what the song Black & Blue is about. You know?
❤️❤️❤️❤️
A truly fantastic album in ma life. This made soo happy the first time i heard it. :)
Mr. Armstrong ,
U should get hold of Hank 111
And do a collaboration.
Great call :)
haha neat.
This is fucking cool.
where can i get the rest of the radio show episodes??
Fuckin awsome!!!!
Is there a place I can hear reruns of this radio show?? I’m assuming it’s not on Sirius anymore
I was kinda disappointed they didn't tell us anything about the 3 Puerto Rican girls mentioned in Olympia WA
I could be wrong but I think the Puerto Ricans refer to guys they "ran into", and "these girls" are different people altogether.
Geez does that bass line stand the test of time.
+Johnny Grove all of Matt's work stands the test of time.
+Rusty Shackleford :) I enjoy playing Matt's baselines more than any other punk bassist. But Paul Simom is a very close second!
+Rusty Shackleford one of my favorite bassist, right up with Mike watt and Brian Ritchie. Duff McKagan of GnR is a great Bassist too- back to Rancid, sorry.
LOL. Mike Watt and Duff are two of my favorite people in music.
No commentary about time bomb? Maybe should be an asterisk * some lyrics taken from "motorcycle ride" off let's go album.
Alright
Now this is awesome. Is the radio show still going on Dogstar, I mean Sirius, or no?
gotta love the fuckin internet
Junkie Man the best fucking song ever made
How can I listen to his show. It's like finding a needle in a haystack.
It’s discontinued sadly, but it used to be on serious xm.
@@lukep2k362 Thanks Man.

Mike Havic nobody knows
Does anyone else see a skull in Tim's beard in this photo?

but no bullshit Lets go is better
how you love your President
We all need to go find new bands and give a shit about what they are doing right now. Tim and Lars have their flowers. Go listen to Machine country. They are new, young, and making really cool music.
