Thanks for taking the time to watch! Hope this was helpful and again this is just my advice from my own experiences :) there are 1000 ways to get from point A to B Happy to answer any other questions!
I love that you're so active and transparent with your users! is there a solid video really outlining Ellie + Notion? I can't figure out how to actually bring the notion tasks in to an Ellie list and I haven't found any videos. Thanks so much!
Really appreciate hearing that! 🙏 No video outlining it but that's a great idea. Closest thing is this guide: guide.ellieplanner.com/features/integrations/notion-integration and then this behind the scenes which isn't too helpful but does have some bits of how to use it! (th-cam.com/video/nR9YZM3AnOI/w-d-xo.html) Hope this helps!
@@raroque Also I literally decided to use your app after months of switching between various apps after watching you engage with people on reddit and it's just so refreshing to have a company who is run by someone who cares about their users :)
I like how you delved into how to find pain points. I kind of felt like that's where I've been stuck at so I'll try to be more conscious about the apps I use now 🙏 And then my next problem is marketing to get my app in front of users 😅
Glad you found that part helpful! It definitely changes the way you think about building once you build the habit :) Maybe next video will be about marketing 👀👀
If your economics allow for it then I think one time is great! (if you have a lot of OpenAI calls for example, you probably can’t) Especially if you make it clear to users that it’s a temporary thing, could be a really good revenue boost early on :)
Every video on youtube always start with the only things that build something that is problem for someone, I live in third world country, where people dont pay for any kind of software, it is kind of challenging for me to find any problem that somebody is looking for solution through software. Could anyone please suggest some idea that I can build for?
Ah this is a very fair point A big factor in finding pain points is definitely location (since I live in the US I’m commonly exposed to issues here and it’s easy to build for the market, but I would struggle resonating and finding issues for a market in Dubai for example) My suggestion is to use the techniques I talk about in the second half: study big companies/products and see if you can make a more specialized version for a segment of their users + find issues people have with existing products on Reddit This advice applies to anyone in any country since all you need is internet access to research AND you’ll be able to pick ideas that let you target people outside of your country Are there any categories (Personal productivity, finance, etc…) you’re interested in?
@@raroque Thanks for the reply, I just comment after listening your first point. I got my answer in the second part of the video, but I didn't deleted the comment I'm going through reddit and I have listed few ideas. Thanks for the reply
A couple of options: 1. If you’re willing to learn how to build things yourself, I would start with really small projects to learn and then build up to the bigger things that you want to build. Obviously this is a pretty big undertaking so understandable if you don’t wanna go this route 2. See if there are any ways you could build your ideas without any coding (no code tools for example). No code builders have gotten pretty advanced and you might be able to create the initial version yourself 3. Find a technical partner - there are a lot of people who are looking for non-technical marketing partners. If you’re willing to do some of that work, then this is also a good path. Finding the right person is the hard part and my recommendation is to look on Twitter or Reddit Hope this helps a little bit! :)

what do you think of subscription vs. one time payment for an app starting with fewer features?

What does your current paying customer count look like for Mogul?
~100 paying users (not all $100, some are on old pricing, education pricing or random discounts)

I have ideas but not the skill set for it, that's the problem. Any tips on how to go about it?
