  • There is a unpleasant bug in the Volkswagen e-up (It should be the same in Skoda citigo iv or Seat mii electric) that when you press the air recirculation button it turns this function off automatically after around 10 seconds. If you press it again it will stay forever as it should when you press it the first time.

    Same bug on Citigo.
    Another one is, sometimes adjusting ventilation by 1 button press does nothing, then a second press will up or down 2 levels at once. In that case it becomes effectively impossible to set ventilation to the intermediate level.

    Bug goes away when humidity sensor is disconnected! Unfortunately this disconnects also the rain sensor, it is the same connector (placed just behind mirror fixation, careful not to unplug passenger airbag lamp - immedeately creates Airbag Error when ignition is on)
    I discovered this nice sideeffect after disconnecting the sensor to stop the front window heater go on automatic, even when absolutly no risk of fog. Now i can switch on heater manually when needed.
    Another bug is still there: fan does not increase from one to two bars by pressing + once. I need to press 2 or 3 times to increase by one step...bit annoying

      I did change it myself in the 2018 model a few days ago, it was giving me the "12v battery workshop" message. After the change the message didn't go away, I have to go to vw for reprograming, but the car works fine

    I have this too, also other bugs like the reverse camera not working some times and also I have seen the lines in the wrong place at times on the camera. Contact off and on again fixes it for a while. Pretty buggy little wheelbarrow...

      Yes I also noticed that the reverse camera does not work from time to time but I haven't found the pattern yet.

    Is it possible to put battery from new e-up in old e-up do you know?

    • @DrHouse-zs9eb
      @DrHouse-zs9eb 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably yes if you switch out battery control unit too.

    It is NOT a bug, it is a protection feature for mindless drivers. You are obliged to press 3 times to overide the windows anti-fog strategy embedded in the AC. It makes sense. This way the constructor is protected of any wrong doing if you have an accident due to fog on the windows. If you manually force it with 3 press on the button, you are responsible if you crash due to fog on the windows.

    Hey Tedo, is there any function to display the date in the e-up?

  • @Lunitrix419
    @Lunitrix419 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

    Not a bug, it's a feature. I just always press it 3 times in a row and then it stays

    Same bug on citigo MY2021. Maybe the same guys, who wrote the software for ID3, also worked on the AC module for e-up/Citigo/Mi? :)

    Not a bug , but a usefull thing for a quick stop of the outside air intake like going through a smoke , dust, smelly thing...

    If you program the AC so it won’t start with the 22 degree default setting, it’s gone and works just like a charm. Oh and what’s the thing with your B pillar having such a big gap

    • @nielsek

      It's still buggy for me (eUp 2020) even though my AC remembers it's last setting (Air Conditioning -> Adaptation -> Channel 6 -> Value 0) - Have you changed any other AC settings?

    • @tedonash2681
      @tedonash2681  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No that is not helping in my 2020 model also. When I shoot the video my AC was already programed to remember the last temperature set.

    "bug" triggers the people - now all the bugs might appear we have not heard of nor recogniced. We will get our next one till June 2021 - ordered in June 2020, so just 1 year of delivery. Pretty strange while other countries could still order these cars and orders from january 2021 were alredy fullfilled while we are waiting and waiting.

    In my citigo IV. It is not a bug according to the dealer, it is controlled by a humidity sensor.

  • @sebacorp
    @sebacorp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is Ok . It is because of red semafor and smell from exhaust of the car which is on front of you also standing in front of red semafor.

    Same stupid bug in my old 2015 e-Up. And on Top, everytime i push the recirculating button, the AC turns on... Just....wtf 🙆‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    • @florencenightingale42
      @florencenightingale42 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, AC always lights up when recirculation is pressed, makes me mad!
      But when fan is off, compressor does not really start. This is my workaround in city behind fossil cars.

      Mine too. I just press it 2 times and later on 3rd time to disable. It should be automatically i think.
