My great great grandmother mom came from Ghana 🇬🇭 with the slave ship to work on the sugar plantation. She passed away in 1987 and live 104 years old. Ghana is my bucket list for vocation
Like your visual history, great learning. Our history is alive, recalling trans atlantic passage, and the mixing of black people among the Caribbean nations is another dimension of black history that needs to told.
I watched from start to finish because the sister is telling the truth about who we are as people. Back in the days we were taught history in schools in Ghana. I grew up in Cape Coast in the 70-80’s, yes we’ve been indoctrinated and it has a profound impact upon our lives as well as our culture. Perhaps we could’ve used brains to develop ourselves if we’d been left alone just as every other race on the planet. It’s a psychological welfare deeply crafted to make us irrelevant among the human race so that they can continue to be superior. Their interest in the continent isn’t about us, it has never been otherwise Congo will be in the news media right now. The sister mentioned Dr. Ben Yosef Jochannan, listened to him personally before he passed at a place in those days called the slave theater meetings in NYC where scholars like him and brother Kwame Toure, Dr. Jeffries, lawyer Alton Maddox, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing including many other individuals like Al-Sharpton who believe in black consciousness and social justice.

Gari and Grits are almost the same slight pronunciation. If you place the letter T at the end of Gari you get the word Grits or Garit (8:14)

Gari is more like couscous than grits because grits made from corn! Gari and couscous from cassava!
