I agree with you, but the reality is that only a very niche audience understands how impressive these lifts are. My friends who don't lift weights dont really comprehend this sport at all.
The recognition AND money/endorsements is at an all time high. For the past three years at least pretty much every commercial gym has strongman equipment of some kind, and lifting weights (deadlifts, squats etc) have become extremely mainstream popular. How bad is this coverage that we can't get weight totals in the lower left corner, or a final scorecard at the end with the names, weights, and standings???
hes responsible for his equipment. Noone to blame but himself for this problem. the rules state bar has to leave the ground and return to the groun in your hands. If you remember a few years ago eddie hall actually dropped one and lost his place at a big meet as well.

With their competition frequency it amazes me that strongmen can even maintain their strength, let alone improve upon it.... No surprise that injury rates seem to be so high
@Brandon...The are over stretching their muscles, hence prone to injuries and tears
I feel bad for Mateusz. He was so close
Show the leaderboard afterwards please!
1:01:00 he keeps his music in??? is that allowed?
why wouldn't it
Ewout Hagdorn it is not music. It allows him to not hear the croud and music so that he can concentrate
How do you stay loose and warmed up for something like this
Disappointing, last year had a lot of competition on deadlifts over 1000 lbs, this year thor is the only one
Oliver Douglas Plus last year Shaw was competing, who is currently the only guy that gets close to Thor in deadlift strength (and we all know what happened when he tried too much)
@@shellrox2878 Shaw's deadlift keeps going down because he keeps trying to lift too much and gets injured. Wish he would take it easy so his deadlift can go back up. Could have probably competed in the arnold this year if he wasnt getting injured so much
Logan Yep, he tries too much to keep up with Thor in static lifts and fails dynamics because he ends up being injured. They are both beasts but Thor is much younger than him and has that advantage
How can we buy these plates ive looked every where.
Thor my favourite 🙏🏻 love from Germany
Is that you in your profile pic?
You look just like him! lol
Asura hahaha
How bad is this coverage that we can't get weight totals in the lower left corner, or a final scorecard at the end with the names, weights, and standings???

Hey Bobby What is this spoto on your shoulder🤔
Oh those plates..... fabulous... :)
They remind me of the rare Zuver plates.
Does anyone know if these weight plates can be purchased?
SBD ouch strap failure at a major event isn't a good look.
dude it isnt sbd straps.
Was it rogue straps?
@@TheJesusNerd40 no, its real pharm straps
when is the deadlift record breakers?
it's unfair! Kieliszzkowski is clearly the strongest of them and he will lose due to technical shortcomings in one dead discipline
He could have trained his grip...if he's not strong enough to grip 800... He's not the strongest
this unfair kieliszkowski is stronger! everybody sees @Tyler Vincent
hes responsible for his equipment. Noone to blame but himself for this problem. the rules state bar has to leave the ground and return to the groun in your hands. If you remember a few years ago eddie hall actually dropped one and lost his place at a big meet as well.
@@ah7027
but I don't write that they cheated him! only that it is currently the strongest which can be seen with the naked eye!
Did they say the name of the company that made the straps that embarrassingly and catastrophically tore apart?
This contest is kind of a joke without Brian Shaw. Nobody stands a chance against Thor
Where is Brian Shaw?
That’s bullshit the judges called a missed lift bc a strap broke. If it happened with Halfthor they would have given him a re-do.
Should they call it a good lift? Nobody forces you to use straps, so its (sadly) his own "fault" and your bitching about Thor is completely unnecessary
@@fabianmeyer506 they could let him try again with different straps.
@@sagebias2251 no other sports allows for redos for equipment failure. Also letting him retry would be pointless. He would basically be spent and unable to do it anyways.
Was shaw not competing this year
didnt qualify
Thor cut his strap when he wasn't looking
I feel like I missed a inside joke here
First!!! Cheers from Perú
señorita laura?
please have pound and kilogram values in the future
Try googling it. It amazing the rest of the world hasn't figured that out.
The conversion chart for lbs and kilograms is this. Each kilogram equals 2.21231 lb so to figure out kilograms divide the pounds by 2.21231
BTW I'm an American
You know what's scarier than an empty hall?
An Eddie Hall
No Brian Shaw ?
Rob Kearney looks natty next to all those monsters.
Almost a foot shorter than 'The Mountain'. That'll do it.
34:15 i noticed his hand placement wasn't symmetric. sure enough, he had trouble with that lift. you can see the barbell shift left as soon as he picks it up.
Dude on the right is desperate for people to know he knows people. “As someone that considers thor a good friend...” relax bro. And start pronouncing the names right
Also really annoying how he keeps saying “as long as they get it to their knees.” Some deadlifters have sticking points off the ground. Some have more trouble the top half of the lift.
Hey man, the only reason these kind of things trigger you is that you are the same so you are annoyed when others do it
Jeremy Baut what
Oky I don't know whether I'm not updated but I ask where's hall in this???
Dude, Eddie hall retired 4 years ago lmao
😂😂Sorry my bad. Assume you never red that
"THE CHEESE"
Man...why on green earth people wearing spandex in this..is beyond me. The heat alone must be insane.
i mean they are indoors in a ac controlled building
The knurling won’t catch the skin and it’s very comfortable.
What are they sniffing at before lifting?
Ammonia
TheJesusNerd40 how does that help them?
