Downcomer पाइप l What is Downcomer ट्यूब in boiler

Down comer pipes supply water to all the inlet header of water tubes.These pipes connected to steam drum ( in single drum ) and to mud drum ( in bi drum ) at top side and connected to all water tube header at bottom through branches. These pipes are easily identified at boiler site as they come from top and reaches up to operating floor .diameter (size) of these tubes is more than the other pipes and tubes of boiler .
