I was brought home as a newborn from the hospital in a 1985 white on gold IROC-Z just like this one. I've wanted a car like this fine example for most of my life. This is really my favorite generation of the Camaro.
Thanks for sharing. This was one of my favorite cars from the 80s as a kid always wanted one
This was someones baby. Looks like a very well garaged kept car.
Nice looking camaro. I like the black with the blue accent stripe.
1:48 hp in the high 200? You don't know much about an 88 Iroc.
it was my dream car when I moved to US from Korea
with the "7,000 RPM redline", i sure hope it includes a second engine......
😂
I am looking for the rear speaker tray in the trunk. Any Idea where I could find a used one. Thank you
My IROC exactly, How does one describe magic?
This a kool car
Holy Crap! 22 grand!😮
Someone will be nuts and desperate to pay that!
235 HP if lucky....😮
Buy that car now for $22,000 and years from now. It will be worth $50,000.
When it comes to this icon, a true car guy would as much about alot of hp when collecting or buying one of these cars in this condition. I believe the price is fair knowing that in 10-20 years it will be worth more than that in value. Plus its an irocz. I will still upstage most newer camaro's and get tones of look driving around and at the light. Nobody needs alot of hp with this car. The irocz speaks for its self. No true car guy wouldn't even want to race one if seen on the streets. They'd just look and enjoy a rare sight.
I raced against them all the time when they were a regular car on the road, brand new, and I always walked away from them every time. Never lost to one. My big fat heavy 70 Chevelle has never let me down. Hell, I had a 72 Chevy station wagon that would rip the iroc jerks a new one. The only thing that those guys could do was run away from paying up or out corner and loose the cops. Back in the day, the majority of iroc owners were jerks. Seems the same today.😢wah!
What engine was in your 72 station wagon that out ran an Iroc?@@gordonstroup882
Are you looking to sell it?
These cars with the 350 was 230hp/330tq.
245/345..90-92
Definitely cool sporty cars, but the engine offerings for those models were horrible. The mustang 5.0 could smoke the camaro back then.
Lol, don't be one of those "back in the day" people.
I ordered & owned BOTH an '87 5.7 IROC & a '91 5-speed GT as a pair until 1998. Drag raced them both at Kil-Kare Dragway in Xenia, OH numerous times.
There was virtually no difference in 1/4 mile times & speed.
Been driving manuals since 1984, and I currently own 2 manual cars in 2024.
If you're thinking one vehicle walked away from the other, you're lying to yourself, or someone lied to you.
BTW ..... they'd both run right at 145 on the top end speed wise. But the solid rear axle in the GT made them very uneasy at anything over 120.
I owned a 1988 iRock Z350 heart they would not allow it to come with Tops because they said it would bend the frame so that I write that you have there is not 350 my friend it’s a 305
I dunno, I had that exact car same color same everything and it had some get up and go. Maybe there's something wrong with this one.
Nice looking. Only 245 hp. Even V-6 cars have more hp than that these days lol.
Yeah but todays cars blow and are ugly… this car is classy looking
Being from the motor city, you'd think he'd know more about cars.
Pricey
ALL of their vehicles are WAY over priced!!! Have you checked out their website?!? Geesshhh wtfff
Whoever did the exhaust is lousy at tucking up the pipes nice and tight. Looks awful. Nice car overall. i had an 86 with the 305 and t tops. Slow af but i loved it. Hard to find one these days thats not clapped out. if you do find a nice one, your gonna pay for it.
'86 was the slowest & least hp IROC back in the day. They choked them from 215hp in '85 down to 190hp in '86.
Then jacked the 305 back up over 200+ hp in 1987. Plus the 5.7 got offered as a $1045.00 option in '87.
240 hp
Using any who wrong
245 horsepower, and you didn't even step into it all the way to lower the gear
Those Rims Are Not From 1988 ...More Like 90'S Rims
They are the same as 1988 rims.
These rims are 88-90
