    Overall looks to be a good all rounder drive but most consumers will find it hard to justify the $20+k premium over the Avante, Ceratos, Mazda3, or Altis.

    • @donldnify
      @donldnify 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Not quite $20+k premium - Do consider that some of these cars u have indicate are VES A so the ‘lower pricing’ that you see is actually money coming out from you eventually. The ARF for Civic ($28152) and Avante ($7198).

      This civic looks 2 gens backwards……. even at launch there’s so much divided opinions, good luck to Honda if they gonna let this 11th gen sit for afew more years, I hope they survive long enough till then to come up with something fierce and aggressive looking that set people’s heart racing when they see a civic approaching.

    • @iamt_tl
      @iamt_tl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the trend in JDM market was moving towards more family-oriented designs and priority. with the high petrol cost, there's lesser and lesser needs for street racing, and people are moving towards economy and comfort
      Honda sees this trend, VTEC was ever moved from performance to economy focused. Thus, in the last two designs, the emphasis on being a streetcar grew on their design.
      Just look at the jazz, we can't tell its previous 3 gens were doing track racing at all. Just hope Honda will do better next with Toyota doing a much better job in this regard.

    • @tand9854

      Nobody will buy this car until the price drop to $100k values. Just like when new Mazda 3 first came out. Their prices were way above the $100k range. Nobody bought. Till $90-100k then we start seeing the car more on the roads. Same fate with this Honda. Just wait for Kah Motor to have no choice but lower the price.

      The equipment lose out to forte and avante too. I'm not a fan of avante design, forte is a facelift but the equipment on the top specs better even Mazda 3. Mazda 3 looks good but the rear is tighter. The safety features has speed operating limit where the Koreans can do even start stop using the ACC.

    Sgcarmart should consider including an acceleration test in their reviews. Rather than use subjective terms like acceleration thrust. Like how foreign car review does. With sport mode and without. At least some real world figures would be useful for us to consider rather than vague subjective terms.

    Last time this price can buy civic 1.5 turbo with more hp and torque. $125k for Cat A is too ex. Price bracket weird. Top up a bit more can get conti models already. This model won’t sell. The design is boring and not identifiable as the old one. Gd luck cleaning those honeycomb vents. Quickly go buy the old one while stocks last.

    Kah Motor used to sell both the 1.5t (cat B) and 1.6na (cat A) 10th-gen Civic. The 1.5t cost 20-30k more than the 1.6na.
    KM discontinued the 1.5t after a short few years and they are left with only 1.6na for sale before the launch of this new 11-gen Civic. Was told by the sales staff that the 1.6na outsold 1.5t for almost 8:2. I guess that’s true as most Civic 10-gens on the road are mostly halogen bulbs with IVTEC badge on the rear. This could explain why KM didn’t launch a cat B version of the new 11-gen

    Was looking forward to the All New Civic with “Touring” trim specifications until the disappointing specifications revealed at Kah Motor’s virtual launch. What’s with the detuned Civic 127 bhp instead of 180 bhp just to fit into the Cat A COE segment. Doesn’t make any sense at all to Civic enthusiasts. Pricing aside, when compared with the Touring-equivalent specifications in overseas markets, the lack of sunroof, Honda Sensing, LED headlamps, full digital cockpit display, electric front seats, and 18 inch wheels are just turn-offs. Nuff said. It is a “Won’t Buy” for me.

    the interior of 11th gen is better. looks wise subjective... hate the lip and how the bonnet connects to the front. power is shit. and it is not detuned, salesperson at KM told me it's a completely different engine so dont think of buying and forgoing the warranty and tuning it. the CVT still noisy AF in a bad way. the only for sure improvement in this video is the presenter, compare to his first couple of videos.

    The price tag of S$170K+ is madness. imagine in Malaysia this spec which is known as V spec which is the 3rd highest spec only cost low RM150k. The highest spec which is the RS which comes with full body kit only cost low RM160k. There is another HEV version which cost RM170k. Both not available in SG. No wonder rarely see this on the road because is just doesnt make sense and make u feel stupid...if can afford paying such price, just buy a conti here..or might as well buy in Msia and bring it for a spin in Sepang because such price can buy a Type R in Msia + another regular Civic FE
