I’ve heard a lotta athletes say that if they didn’t have sports they’d most likely be in jail and I t’s infuriating to me knowing how important sports can be for kids but lots of them will never have the chance to play bc of money. Big bag, sweat suit, socks, t shirts and all that! They just couldn’t say no to kids who wanted to play, like I said especially if you had skills it can change your life in the US if you can get a free ride because of sports. In the hood that’s the only thing that saves a lot of young men from joining gangs and messing up! You’ll see the best athletes in the hood and sadly a lot of them never make it out.
