In the opening she was expecting the playback to start singing but they kept her mic on...
and she sounded better than the playback lol u can tell she goes in and out
At least she didn't fold and crumble like most stars do when this happens. She just did live anyways.
Janet always goes in and out anyways. Parts of the songs are live with pre recorded elements. It's not a secret that 95% of most touring artist do it. It's for voice preservation, insurance in case of voice problems, acoustics, special effects etc
Since J isnt a strong singer she needs sing with a track because ni one can hear her and she's a dancer and I can tell she holds back from dancing when she sings completely live. I've seen her 4 times her Velvet Rope tour once, All Fir You twice and State of the World Tour once.

Lol I don’t look at my phone screen I just hold it and hope for the best.
The question is did you enjoy them sacrificing their chance to be in the moment so they could share it with us. I'm glad they did so we can enjoy it as well.

@@paulabdul4505 That's because she put on a lot of weight in 2019. This was in November 2019 and just a few months later in February 2020 she was on Jimmy Fallon and looked amazing. Janet is incredibly disciplined and within just 3 months after this performance, she lost a shit ton of weight and looked amazing on Jimmy Fallon. She looks great and in shape now, but the stylist and creative direction has to go, Gil does not know how to make Janet's shows entertaining. She is much better than this.
