This is opening night. She only got to rehearse for 5 weeks, she was still doing SOTW shows here and there. A lot to remember. Some of these songs she hasn't done since either Velvet Rope or All For You tours or none at all. She slaying, but you can tell she still adjusting. BABY, WHEN SHE GETS ALL THE AWAY ADJUSTED.... WHEW

Omg I was there May 17th 2019.. Let me tell you a must see show. Janet was in top form. So let's see who there on opening night. Magic Johnson, Jill Gill, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Queen Latifah, Gabrielle Union (A.K.A Wade) Oh Quest Love (Also he DJ her after party at the Speak Easy Club) Just to name a few people that I saw. Now if kinda cool and bad that you see the cell phone footage on TH-cam but it give more buzz to the show. But you have to be there in person to really enjoy this show the sound the lights is GREAT!!! This is a well put together show. On my night everyone was partying. Everyone was standing the whole show. And Oh yes Empty That's MY SONG!!!!!!!! It was great to see live in person. I'm going back again to see it.
Only when she surpasses Madonna's 300 million in record sales and 1.2 billion in tour earnings ( highest amongst solo artist male or female ). 4th best selling artist of all time behind Elvis, Beatles and ofcourse Michael. Most Billboard top ten singles artist of all time male,female or group. Quite impressive don't you think ?

I never in my statement brought up numbers Mr. Harvey. Janet Jackson and Paula Abdul are simply incredible, they're both still incredibly sharp dancers. Not even the great dancers from the 90s like Britney could keep up.
First off, if you are not familiar with the song "EMPTY", then that says to me your probably just a Janet admirer or greatest hits fan or...maybe you just didn't buy the Velvet Rope cd. Anyways, its tough when your a high standard artist, because the bar is forever raised even as the years go by which, to a degree, I understand. Yes when you hear the term "Las Vegas Residency", your expecting a jaw dropping, mind blowing, extremely impressive type of experience. I can't say too much on this residency because I'm watching "CLIPS" on here and not the whole entire 2 hour show, but from what I seen "on here" -so far - yes I see a difference in stage performance, creativity, and production. I get what some said about it appearing shes not connected with her music on stage because I felt that way on the "Trust A Try" part. I envisioned and expected something I didn't see. As for the "Empty" part I envisioned a production that didn't happen but for her, its always exciting to see her do a song she normally don't do. I keep an open mind and tread carefully with my words because shes my #1 artist. I keep in mind her age, what she has contributed throughout the years, so with that said, I "kind of" understand why it "appears" to be less dancing performance from her in the "clips" I've seen so far, but see more vocal performance which is to be admired, but even with that, I would like to see her vocal mic turned up a little more and her give a little bit more vocally even if its through adlibing (not lip syncing - know the meaning of adlib readers) in trade off for the less dancing and more elaborate production. As for the person thinking she need more dancers, NO! There comes a time when less is more. That was the one thing I disliked about the Mc Hammer concert days....too many people, I like to see the artist shine as much as possible on their own, I mean, she did it in the Pleasure Principle video by herself right? So that can be transferred to the stage too. I can accept what some of you call a "stripped down" show, but as long as its a great show at the same time.
Also take into account that she does 5 costume changes(most since rockwitu tour) and this tour was prepared in less than 5 WEEKS. Also her goal was not to recreate the SOTW Tour choreo(she tries to do something different every tour despte Number Ones being a stripped down rockwitu tour and SOTW Tour continued version of Unbreakable Tour. For trust a try i expected floor choreo alomg with you and more choreo done in the verse of TAT.
