      Glad you like them.
There's a 5 meter version available overseas that's hopefully coming to Australia soon

I'm hoping to get working on it really soon. I'm WAY behind my production schedule at the moment.

Hi. You have awesome content. I'm happy to watch and view advertising. The first advertisement on this video was a Supremacist ad. Typically I don't skip ads, because it supports creators.. I skipped that one almost immediately. It's probably against TH-cam advertisement guidelines, but it got though somehow. If I had a channel like yours. I'd disable the political Advertising category.
Good day, keep making great content 👌 👍

Thanks for the heads up. I honestly had no idea this was happening and completely forgot about setting allow/deny lists for advertising. I've made some changes so here's hoping that fixes that issue.

Hi, I have a request. It would great if you could do a video on how to set the set of a LIFX light without turning it on, using Home Assistant. Set State looks to be available but cannot figure out how to get it to work. Thanks

I always get mixed feelings about seeing a new hma video in my feed.
On one hand. YAY NEW VIDEO! on the other hand it's 'weekend is almost over. Time to prepare for the work week'

Really interested in this product, hope you show it off once you have it in a shape. Is it possible to somehow bend it into a cursive “Nic”? That was my idea as it’s kind of a nickname

the 2 Meter length might be a bit restrictive for bending into something like that but it could be possible.

Any idea if these connect to Home Assistant without the use of Homekit? I have a bunch of their lights and they're great, straight into Home Assistant. Then I got a light switch which you can only connect to HA via homekit, you cant get the Homekit code without owning an iPhone since they stopped printing the pairing code on the device or in the booklet in the box. I'm keen to get some of these but no interest if I can't connect to Home Assistant.

There's an Android LIFX app suggesting that Homekit isn't a hard requirement.
      play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lifx.lifx&pcampaignid=web_share
I'd have to assume that once it's been connected to the network using the Android app, it should be Auto-Discovered by Home Assistant.
The HomeKit Pairing code is printed on a sticker at the back of the booklet so I'm not sure what you mean there.
Also, on the underside of the Control box, there's a line printed just below the "S/N" serial number line:
"HK: 1234-567-8910" where the actual homekit pairing code is printed, identical to the sticker in on the booklet.
From a very small sample size here at home, I think this might actually be the case on all of the LIFX devices I have.
I've confirmed it's etched on 2 of my LIFX + Globes, and on the Control box for the outdoor string lights.
I agree that the QR code SHOULD be etched on the device itself, but that's a different problem.
Honestly not sure about the LIFX switches, I've not yet tested one, though it's on my to-do list, I might order one in this week.

Yes, that's the Controller for the strip.

Lifx is the worst, CONSTANTLY "gone dark"....you'll get used to that phrase.

Sorry to say I don't agree with you and I don't think your experience is universal.
I've NEVER had a problem and I've been using LIFX gear for ~ 7 years.

@@HiveMindAutomation Yeah while I’ve had temporary issues in the past, it’s usually been due to an external issue like my WiFi network or issues with setting up the lights with HomeKit. I hate this term but what that guy said above really does sound like a “skill issue” lmao
