Amen! We’re being egg consumers here too. We’ve got chickens who help out with our needs but with the winter months, they slowed down quite a bit and we’ve actually had to supplement with store bought eggs recently. Shocked at how expensive they still are but still worth the cost.
Exactly. $$$ We feed our chickens organic and uts expensive but this past super hot 110+ summer/molting fall and winter we had to buy pasture raised eggs.
I buy my eggs from a friend down the road .. the yolks are the most brightest orange Ive ever seen. His chickens spend all the day in the pasture eating whatever they can peck from the ground. The eggs shells are very thick. 4 dollars a dz. At a popular health food grocery store I sometimes buy a brand called Farmers Hen House - organic, free range, certified Humane, etc etc, These eggs have great shells,,, but the palest yolks Ive ever encountered- but at 2.50 a dz. Anyone else use this brand? The yolks looks no better than the WalMart brand. :( I eat about 8 to 10 eggs a day- so prices are a concern of course.
Great points. There’s more value to eggs than meets the eye.
More like…than meets the mouth ;)
@@neatnateable noice! your taste in dad jokes is delectable!
More value to eggs than meets the ribeye.
It’s mind boggling the long list of nutrients in eggs. Not cheap but worth it in the scheme of healthy nutrition.
1:24 I love that riddle!!!!

I can get grass fed grass finished ground beef for $8/lb from a local farm. But the steaks are unaffordable lol
love it! haha lots of cash dropped on eggs but money well spent. i bet we spend more on chips in north america anyways! Can you make all dressed eggs?
